First, it has a wide receiving pool area that is conducive to large groups and is more kid-friendly than other swimming holes (such as Warren Falls). Second, parking is generally available on the side of the road above the falls. You can descend along the second pathway down which is less steep than the first pathway. Third, dogs with a leash are allowed in the area. Would strongly recommend bringing water shoes (river shoes) if you don't like the pain of multiple rocks on your bare feet. Also, it tends to be a bit more quiet from 3pm-4pm, but got crowded when we departed at 5pm. Overall, this is a great place to experience a swimming hole in Vermont - especially if you are staying nearby in Burlington, VT.

I am a beginner and was riding with my daughter who has taken lessons. We were invited to arrive early and groom the horses which was so nice. The ride was mostly on dirt roads which ended up being great because we had the freedom to ride next to each other. The occasional cars on the road were so respectful. We even got to trot (tolt) which was an exhilarating experience for me, fastest I've ever gone on a horse!

There are arrows on the path pointing you in the direction(s) you want to go. Boulders are pretty slippery, so watch your step. The river water, almost turquoise in color, was. as expected, very cold but super refreshing, Waterfalls were mesmerizing. Lots of places on the riverbank & even the riverbed to hang out in the sun, or, of course, dive into the deeper swimming holes. Office staff and line folks were wonderful, however, I seemed to have somehow earned the err of the chief flight instructor who told me that my original training organization was rubbish and that my training and rating didn't count for much. 1st. flt/gift certificate was quickly used up with a flight which ended up with the instructor declaring that there would be no further flight for a few hours as conditions were moderate turbulence. This did not help me as I got berated for my lack of demonstrable ability during the flight. After lunch, the 2nd flight/gift certificate was used to put me thru new (to me) maneuvers where I failed once again to meet the expectations of the instructor. Overall, an expensive and waste of good gift certificates resulting in a demeaning experience for me, which I'd anticipated and hoped would be a wonderful start to my journey back to glider currency. However, Warren airport is ideally located amid wonderful scenery and I'd expect that with their great glider equipment, it would make for an Amazing glider experience for anyone wishing purchase a scenic ride.

And it's next to the St. Stephen's Episcopal Church. The park has a big green space on a nice incline that would make it a challenge for a picnic or a festival .But there's a pretty fountain, called the "Fontana di Trevi" of course.
