I called…read morefor an emergency visit for my beloved pet and not only were they going to charge me $200 to hold my appointment but I was abruptly hung up on because I had a past due bill I had no clue existed. I was willing to pay said bill and pay whatever needed to be paid to have my pet treated but no, I was hung up on. they must not care about animals very much if they're willing to let a pet suffer and possibly die over a bill from over 20 years ago. again I had no clue it was owed and I was fully willing and ready to pay it in full before they treated my pet. I don't recommend them at all and if I could give less than one star I would. THEY SUCK !

If awarding negative stars were possible, Countryside Veterinary Clinic would be drowning in them…read more This establishment, with its shockingly inept team, provided the most appalling experience I've ever endured. If you care even slightly about your pets, stay far away! When I took my puppy in for a Lyme booster, they mistakenly attempted to administer a distemper vaccine, despite my explicit instructions that only the Lyme booster was needed. This should have been my first red flag to avoid this clinic entirely. The situation worsened when I brought my 9 1/2-year-old Newfoundland, who has had double knee surgery, hip dysplasia, and severe tendon laxity, to the clinic. Instead of assigning her to an experienced vet familiar with complex cases, the front office staff placed her with their newest veterinarian, Dr. Coscomb. While Dr. Coscomb was polite, she seemed unfamiliar with my dog's intricate condition and performed a superficial examination. The real issue lay with the disorganized and indifferent front office staff, including Maggie, Becky, and Ashley. The reception area was chaotic, and their outdated practice of not using computers for prescriptions only added to the inefficiency. I was unable to get any pain medication for my dog at the clinic, and Chewy ended up being far more helpful than this dismal office. In June, when my dog's condition worsened, I called the clinic in tears, hoping to adjust her medications for comfort. The office staff promised a callback that never came. Despite multiple follow-ups, they claimed to have contacted me, but I had no record of missed calls or messages. I had to drive three hours to pick up a prescription, only to find it incomplete because the vet failed to include the DEA number. This forced me to make another three-hour trip for a new prescription, highlighting their incompetence. Lauren Felix, the HR Manager, was shockingly rude and uncooperative. She exhibited classic narcissistic behavior, deflecting responsibility and gaslighting me, showing more concern for her own ego than for addressing my dog's suffering. They blamed me for choosing a distant vet based on false ratings, which only added to their egregious lack of empathy. The clinic's incessant excuse-making is nauseating. They tried to shift the blame onto me for the supposed mistake of choosing them. Their conduct has been nothing short of a nightmare, characterized by lies, hostility, and a blatant disregard for animal welfare. They even had the audacity to send a certified letter terminating our vet-client relationship, accusing me of poor communication, despite their own failings--ironically hilarious, given that I had already made it clear that their establishment was a complete disaster and I would never tolerate their incompetence again. This clinic should have its license revoked for its appalling practices. If you value your pet's health, mental well-being, and money, avoid this clinic like the plague. Report their blatant lies and poor practices to the New York State Veterinary Medical Society and other regulatory agencies. Thank your stars if you haven't yet had the misfortune of dealing with this abysmal establishment. Updated 7/15/2024: I spoke with Lauren Felix, their HR Manager, who refused to help in any way. She was shockingly rude and condescending, even more unhelpful than the rest of the staff. Dr. Coscomb was nice but likely unaware of the situation, as her staff wouldn't allow me to leave a message to get a different pain medication for my dog. This vet clinic should have its license revoked for its blatant disregard for animal welfare. Avoid this place like the plague!!!

If I could give Village Veterinary 6 stars, I would…read more When we were looking for a new vet for our blind cat after moving, we asked for recommendations and perused Google looking for any spots that came highly regarded. After all, who wants to take their furry pal to a 2nd rate spot? After talking to some locals and seeing some reviews, it was clear that Village Veterinary was our spot. This was confirmed when we saw how many thank you cards, plaques, and other mementos they had hanging up from current and former "patients". Our cat is NOT a fan of the vet due to his blindness, so we were immediately impressed when the staff put is in a quiet room to wait as opposed to the general waiting room where you have dogs barking, cats hissing, and the general zoo-like nature of a veterinary waiting room. the appointments are usually running on time and they get you in and out. We are currently patients of Dr Jamie Hopper who is phenomenal! She has helped so much with educating us on the best care for our little guy. They have an adjacent surgery and emergency center so if you ever need help, they have the capabilities to handle it. I would not look anywhere else if you need animal care in Central New York.

She was euthanasiaing another at the same time. It seemed that she was trying to make money for her company. She was extremely unprofessional. The other girls in the office were very kind. I would never recommend this "hospital" to anyone. I am so sorry that we didn't take him to his original vet.

We were in the waiting room, with our 65lb puppy, and he was very excited and just wanted to say hello to everyone. We let him say his hellos and then he was told to sit and stay. When giving our dogs commands we use a more firm tone of voice as most people do, the vet yelled across the room telling my husband not to yell at our dog. In a room full of people this was obviously uncalled for and it embarrassed him as well. That was the first thing that ticked us off. Every time we brought our dogs in here, they load them up on goldfish, cool whip, squeeze cheese, you name it. They always come home with diarrhea. I get it, you're trying to keep them distracted, but if you're giving vaccinations properly you shouldn't need to keep a constant flow of terrible foods going to keep them distracted. And if you don't know what you're doing and you do need to distract them, use dog treats so that my dogs don't come home with upset tummies and the squirts. Another thing, this office ALWAYS quoted me at least 80-150 dollars less than the bill ended up being. I asked approximately how much my dogs neuter was going to be, everything included, and they quoted me at $300. My husband went to pick up our pup and pay the bill and it was over $500. Shouldn't you have set prices for these things? So that you can give ACCURATE quotes? Before anybody asks, "well why did you keep going?" I've read terrible reviews about nearly all of the nearby veterinary clinics, and since we started both of our dogs vaccines here I just rode it out and decided to finish their vaccines here. Now that they're finished for at least a year or so, we'll never go back there. To say the least, I wouldn't recommend this vet to anyone unless you're willing to pay more than normal, get judged by the staff, and have puppies with upset stomachs because they feed them a ton of terrible shit while they're getting vaccinated, nails clipped, ears cleaned, etc. I'd also like to add I have NEVER written a review on any app, anywhere, but that's how irritated I was with this place. I actually took time out of my day to let everyone know how much this place sucks. If you've read this far, I applaud you.
