My first thought was that it is more remote than I had for some reason assumed. I really appreciated the relatively large spans of almost no civilization and all nature. Second thought, the entire Oregon coast is stunning...the most beautiful coast line in the country in my humble opinion. Rugged, treed, full of wildlife, serene. Third note, the corridor did have the most rock formations as compared to other parts of our coast, very fun to admire, especially from the higher vantage points of the many, many viewpoints along the route. Overall, a stunning area...but let's be real...it's just another jaw-droppingly beautiful piece of a state overflowing with spectacular sights.

We didn't have time to hike the whole thing today (it is 5.4 miles round trip), but we hiked out on this trail for about 20 minutes and then hiked about 20 minutes back, and we both thought it was well worth the time to do that. We saw wild irises along the trail, many beautiful trees of all shapes and sizes, more incredible ocean vistas, and a monarch butterfly! I personally quite love hiking trails that have arch-like overhangs of trees over parts of the trail. Happily, the beginning jaunt of this trail had several such arches of greenery. It is magical to be enclosed by trees on both sides of me *and* also overhead! Some stretches of this trail have somewhat steep elevation gain. Other sections of the trail were very muddy when we hiked this trail today, to the extent that our shoes could've sunk several inches in to mud if we weren't watching where we stepped. There was no one there except for us today! It is a week day morning, so this park may be far more crowded on the week-ends. But it was so peaceful to enjoy this place all to ourselves! I was a little worried about the rope climb at the bottom to the beach but it was a breeze (I'm 67). The tide was out so we spent a lot of time on the rocks, looking at the tide pools, walking the beach and letting the 3 dogs run. We went during the week in June and had the beach to ourselves. The day was super windy but the trail and beach were blocked from most of it. The views from the trail are spectacular and so many wildflowers and mushrooms to see. Not a huge parking area so I could see where it might be tight on the weekends. Several of us were in flip flops but I would wear my hiking shoes if I was to go back.

The rafting itself was amazing with a variety of rapids and scenery. We saw a lot of wildlife around the lodges and during rafting. Our guides made great lunches which we devoured at gorgeous locations along the river banks. The front desk staff that helped with our reservations as well as pre and post trip lodge accommodation at Morrions lodge were nice. Shout out to Lisa for everything she did to make our experience memorable. Highly recommend the rafting as well as the morrison lodge. We will be back soon

We almost didn't stay the night but the bed was surprisingly decent....and we were tired after a day of adventures. The view is nice, but certainly not worth the filthy interior. The toilet clogged the first time we used it. There is a plunger available, which tells me this is an ongoing problem. The bathtub was absolutely disgusting, with hair in multiple places. We found a fruit pit on the floor, a pile of change, and sand in a lot of places. There was no coffee in the unit. We went to the office, but it was closed. Several campers shared with us that they felt like they were walking on egg shells during their stay. General concensus it that it was/is due to the power trip/uptight owner. Guests worrying about if their chair leg or other might be set in a forbidden area, right next to their rig etc. Being grass obsessed is one thing. Known to berate people out on a whim is another deal. Geez, tone it down a bit and give people some space to relax. Pros: *Super quiet *Staff helps guide rigs in to park. *Probably not great for kids. *Beautiful location on the river. *Bathrooms; very clean. *Prices are reasonable. *Decent wifi. *Owner pays attention to keep the riff raff out. Cons: *Gravel spots. *Super small patios that are heaving which could lead to twisted ankles exiting rigs. (Request to owner: Remove some of the lawn and improve patio size, this much needed improvement would also use less water and allow patio furniture more space). *Uptight guy owner. *Many deer hazards on the road to town.

She was so friendly, knowledgeable, and very patient with our group which included a range of people from 17-65. Her level of experience having done this for multiple years showed since each drop was super smooth while still fun! Would highly recommend booking a trip with her.

This was an outstanding trip with RRJ providing all quality camping gear ( they set up the tents!), great freshly cooked 3 meals a day & snacks at riverside, gear rafts transported it all daily + a kayak & paddler here & there .
