We drove by Otto's Food cart in Alma, CO after our September afternoon adventure through Boreas Pass. From Breckenridge, we headed out Boreas Pass Road. You can complete the Boreas Pass drive as quickly or leisurely as you'd like. For us, we started the drive around 2pm and found ourselves passing by Otto's about 6pm. We were so hungry and weren't sure what to expect from Team Otto's. If you like sandwiches, I can't recommend Otto's enough. Their sandwiches are fantastic--incredibly delicious. Don't miss out on their fries and homemade dipping sauces too! They serve breakfast all day, have a several vegan options, including a burrito. I had the original chicken sandwich and it blew my socks off. It was so delicious. I savored every bite. My dining partner and I shared sweet potato and regular fries--so darn delicious. They have all these homemade dipping sauces which, I think, is where the magic lies. Get at least two that your heart desires and you won't be disappointed. The Otto's team were so kind and friendly. The food and service were so good, 5/5, I thought about returning to Otto's the rest of the trip. I'll be back for sure. Just a note, it was cool and raining the day we were there. They have outdoor tables, but we opted to drive and find a spot with a view close by and had dinner in the car, it worked out great. It took us about 30 minutes or so to make the drive back to Breckenridge. Literally the best chicken sandwich I've ever had. The worker will tell you that, and it's totally true. We saw this cart on a Facebook page so we had to stop and try it on our way to a mountain town. My partner and I split the Otto's Special and the special sauce is sooo yummy. They even cut the sandwich in half for us. We sat outside and it was just calm and peaceful. The sauces they have are delicious too. As true midwesterners we love our ranch and theirs is delicious! Every one of their sauces is awesome, with my personal favorites being the cowgirl ranch and the honey mustard. I seen a lot of people write about the chicken sandwich. And although my friend that I was with got the chicken sandwich, I think my sandwich was the hands-down winner. YES!!! Order the salad!! I was skeptical because they are a very popular for their meaty sandwich BUT I was craving a salad... So I took a chance and WOW..they made a top otch salad...currently my favorite salad in Park County. It had baby greens, including arrugula!, cukes, carrots, tomatoes, spicy slaw, and a meat topping of my choice...I picked steak. They had a lot of dressing choices but their homemade blue cheese was one of the best blue cheeses I've had!! I was so pleased. And the service was fabulous..super friendly guy!! Listen y'all... I don't leave reviews often at all. This place is the only repeat food stop my husband and I made on our honeymoon. Ottos Food Cart has an incredible menu with a great variety - especially in a town that does not have much. Every item is made to order, so the wait is a bit longer than you would expect but again it's very homemade. My biggest complaint was the prices - the prices seemed outrageous for a food cart. Great food and friendly service. I stopped to pick up a couple meals for take out, and we loved both. I still have part of my original chicken sandwich for dinner, but we got through the wings fast. Those chicken fingers were amazing. The kids food initially seemed pricey until I saw how much food they gave. The Cubano hit the spot for sure. My brother was convinced they used yum yum sauce for the fries and chicken. Maybe they do. I didn't ask. But the sauce was yummy for sure. Super friendly crew. Asked to buy a sticker. 5 stars all day long!! As a yelp ride or die, finding a 5 star spot is my favorite and oh my gosh Otto's did not disappoint. Headed up hwy 285 for a little camping trip, and the sandwich in the cooler was put on pause. You guys, I was blown away and I'm stillll craving this chicken sandwich.. I got the Original, Dad got Colossal Cajun sandwich and my friend got the special chicken sandwich all were SO good. Don't skip out on the fries, they're so big you could put them in the bed of the truck - Cajun was a must. I don't know what they put on this sandwich but it is like crack! People were awesome, great outdoor seating and surrounding coffee shop and produce carts right by. Will be back soon! read more

Stopped by Otto's food cart last night, had read some reviews before getting into town and it was fortuitous that they were right across the street from the dispensary we visited. After being in a car for 11 hours we were tired, hungry and ready to be back to our rental. The guy taking orders was super helpful, made some suggestions and let us know an order of fries would be enough for two people to share (could he have sold us two orders? Sure, but was awesome enough to save us some $$). And he was right, the fries were substantial and we even didn't finish off the single order. We also got the hot honey chicken sandwich and the hot pastrami. Both are very good portions and super tasty, neither of us were able to finish our respective sandwiches and who doesnt love a 'bonus meal'? I also want to give a shout out to this place because of how they take care of the locals. Obviously I am not a local (wish I was) but I heard an exchange between the guy taking the orders and the guy who was waiting in line after us and all I'll say is what was said and done was so kind and a small act of generosity and that speaks volumes about a community. We're lucky enough to be staying for the next couple weeks and will definitely be back to Otto's, they've earned their good reviews and people should support this place. read more
