Bacon cheeseburger
Kristin ..

I've driven past this place for years and finally had time to stop. Burger was decent, albeit a little overcooked, including the bacon. Lettuce could have been fresher, a little yellowed and fell out constantly. My biggest complaint is at myself for not thinking to order without the yellow mustard that comes standard. [[HIGHLIGHT]]The "Doggie Library" is adorable[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]]

Stop when you see it ! Worth it! This is our second time here and great burgers and fries. [[HIGHLIGHT]]Can't beat the view around you![[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] It does close for winter though in about October!

Such a pleasant find! It's a nice stop between Denver and Breckenridge. Friendly staff, dog friendly area. [[HIGHLIGHT]]Amazing tasting ice creams and good coffee (the overall vibe may have also helped).[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] We did not try the food. [[HIGHLIGHT]]It is right beside a historic non dilapidated building of yesteryears train depot (I think no public access for now).[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] [[HIGHLIGHT]]Con: the restrooms can definitely be updated.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]]

Insanely delicious, I'm so glad we stopped by! We are visiting CO for the first time and we will stop by before we leave this weekend as well!

This is the best road trip stop in the mountains! The burger was an easy 10/10, per my friend "one of the best burgers I've ever had." The bun was delicious! I got the train wreck fries! Ding ding They ring a bell when you order these and now I understand why! They are quite the undertaking but so delicious! The place is so adorable, we spotted it from the road! The staff was amazing and so kind! Can't recommend this place enough!

[[HIGHLIGHT]]The view is amazing out here[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]], but even better, is the plate they give you... Some of THE BEST bites I've had of a burger, the service was nice and quick. I would totally recommend going here while passing by, or going an hour out if your way to gwthere is definitely worth your time.

I've been wanting to stop here forever and timing was always off. Well we stopped today and our burgers were delicious and so were the fries. Friendly and quick service! I highly recommend you stop and get a burger

I stopped here after a horseback trail ride nearby. I ordered the double cheeseburger on gluten-free bun and tater tots. The tater tots were extra crispy which I live! The burger was juicy and delicious. The bun was great and not a hockey puck like some GF bread. A little pricey, but it was very good and I would stop again if I found myself in the area again.

If you're heading to the mountains for the weekend or planning a camping trip, make sure to stop by…read moreand grab breakfast or lunch here! Not only is the food absolutely delicious, but they use premium-quality ingredients that really set them apart. The bread on their sandwiches is fantastic, and they've recently started using beef tallow for their French fries, chicken sandwiches, and wings which takes the flavor to another level. They also offer gluten-free options, making it a great choice for everyone. It's a smaller establishment, so be patient if there's a wait it's 100% worth it. The customer service is beyond what I've experienced at some high-end restaurants. While waiting for my food, I got to witness the teamwork and communication between the kitchen staff and front counter crew. These guys were hustling, working efficiently, and clearly taking pride in what they do. It was genuinely impressive to watch. Whether you're stopping in with friends and family or grabbing a meal solo, the atmosphere is welcoming, the music is great, and the overall vibe is positive and upbeat. Do yourself a favor and stop by, you can thank me later! And whatever you do, don't leave without trying one of their homemade ice cream sandwiches!

The place is small and seemed perpetually busy, so it took a while to get our food. But, there are also lots of interesting things to look at, so it wasn't bad. And the staff was very friendly I ordered the South Carolina BBQ sandwich, and we split an enormous basket of sweet potato fries. We liked that there was frosting to dip them in. My sandwich was good and generous; I only ate half, which meant that I got to enjoy the other half at another time. At first, we were not very impressed with the fries, but we managed to eat them all, so I guess they actually were good!

I ordered the Italian sub along with chicken tenders, fried mushrooms, and sweet potato tots. Everything was excellent, and the food was so good that I ended up going back for seconds. The service was as impressive as the food. Every staff member we interacted with was friendly, welcoming, and genuinely kind. Even with the morning rush, they kept things moving smoothly and made us feel appreciated as customers. It's easy to see why people were lined up before they opened. And, bonus you do too. First, The Vintage Moose makes the most of their small space - they even have a back room with a few games, open windows and beyond that, a small patio. Super chill. We laughed reading all the cool signs and stickers from all around. Lots to enjoy as you partake in an adult bevvie. Just one guy running the bar and he was amazing. If you're looking for a place where the locals hang out and everyone knows everyone, this is it. We had a great time, even though we were new. We def will be back. And, if it's summer time when you go, ask for their watermelon sangria. So good.

It has that classic local bar feel - relaxed, welcoming, and full of personality. Most of the crowd seemed to be locals, aside from us and a couple of other tables grabbing a later dinner. That's usually a good sign. The drink selection had plenty of options, and the atmosphere made it easy to settle in and stay awhile. We kept it simple with a few neat pours of whiskey and enjoyed soaking in the vibe. We didn't try the food this visit, but after seeing what was coming out of the kitchen, we'll definitely be back to do that next time. If you're looking for a laid-back local spot in Idaho Springs, The Vintage Moose is worth a stop.
