It's hit or miss... pick a girl that does hair the way you like and stick with her and don't be afraid to speak up when they stray. First, I've been with my stylist for almost 4 years now and I love, love, love the way she cuts and colors my hair, for $20 a cut I have no complaints! I have advice for the salon though, keep the chit-chat undramatic. I don't mind when they talk to each other but when they are bashing other stylists or complaining about their ex's, friends, family it's annoying and honestly not a relaxing environment. It makes me not want to recommend this place. A PP mentioned Maureen, she's the owner and should stick to business. Do not get anything done with her, she rarely pays attention when painting nails, at least. I've had my nails done twice by her and there are always smudges or missed spots along my finger. read more

This place is a JOKE!!!! Ask for balayage and end up with skunk hair. And the manager is trying to refuse giving us our money back, because she thinks they're going to be the place to fix it. I took my girlfriend here to get her hair done (including color), nails, pedicure - you know, a nice gift of pampering. I have to tell you it was fabulous! First off, it's might be a little hard to find at first because it's tucked back in a shopping center off the main road. But once you walk in, it's a cute quaint shop with some neat decorating. My girlfriend said she thought the place made her feel relaxed right away. The appointment I had made for her was there (thank you) and they were right on time to take her. She left me with a big smile, a kiss on the cheek, and "see ya later". My job was done! I came back when I was supposed to and she looked awesome. Nice job on the hair color. I know, it might sound funny for a guy to comment on color, but it's easy to spot the red that comes out from a cheap coloring. Her hair had a real nice chestnut color without looking mousy. And her cut was exactly the way she wanted. Sweet. Her nails were done by the owner, she told me, and they had a blast talking about stuff (probably guys) and my girlfriend told her that we were headed for Cancun, so the owner put some little palm trees on her index fingers - nice touch! And she also said she really liked the pedicure and that I should get one. My friends have told me they're awesome for guys to get, so since this place rocks, I guess it's a good place for me to go get my first one. So, that's it. Overall, it was perfect. Easy to get an appointment, was on-time to start and finish, great quality coloring and cut, happy girlfriend, and good pricing in my book. What more do you expect? Definitely going back. Let me start from the beginning. I bought a Groupon for a cut, deep-conditioning treatment with hot towel wrap, blow dry/style and single process color. I was pretty excited to get my hair done on friday. I call the place to make my appointment, no one answers the phone. I call three more times and finally get someone. I book my appointment and wait for friday to arrive. So I drive out the salon and am set up with Maureen. Maureen is a 40-something woman, and the only stylist there without her own hair done. How can you call yourself a hairdresser and work and not even have your own hair done? Having 2 months of regrowth showing is not good for business! I asked her how long she has been doing hair and she told me about 20 years. Ok. I figure she must know what she is doing. So I ask her for a color book and pic out a shade of brown I like for my hair. She goes to mix the color and comes back to start work on my head. After she puts the dye on, she begins combing my hair with a fine toothed comb. I have never in my life had my hair combed AFTER color was applied. I sit and process, and then she takes me over to the wash bowl, and rinses my hair, doing the conditioning treatment (NO hot towel wrap) and I processed again and was finally rinsed. First, she did not put a towel down on the sink. So by the time all the washing and rinsing was done, the back of my shirt was SOAKED. Second, Almost every time she rinsed my hair, she didnt rinse the nape of my neck. It was still soapy. I sit down in the chair again and immediately notice that the color is off. My hair is not the same color at the scalp as it is on the ends. About the first 4 inches from my scalp is a different color. There are streaks and discolorations. Maureen even ADMITTED to me that it looked different, saying "maybe its the light" "maybe its the shampoo you used" "I don't know why it didn't take to your roots as well." "It doesn't look right to me." DId she fix it? NO!! She continued on blow-drying my hair and let it be that way! I almost burst into tears when she flat ironed my hair. She sprayed something on it that I don't think was a heat protectant, and when she went over my hair with a flat iron, it immediately STEAMED and I heard my hair SIZZLE! I could smell my hair burning. She fried my hair. Also, the cut is not even. I watched her haphazardly cut my hair, barely paying attention because she was too busy talking, telling me her entire life's story, about her ex husband the Puerto Rican, what kind of men she likes to date, chatting with the other stylists, etc. I did not tip her. As soon as I got to my car, I called a different salon and went straight there for a consultation, to see how much I will have to pay to fix what Maureen did. It will cost me twice as much to repair. The only good thing she did was keep as much length to my hair as possible. I only wanted the split ends trimmed off and I thought she did a good job of getting rid of them, until two days later I am finding split ends all over the place that she missed. Needless to say I will never go back there. I want my money back. Does this salon treat all customers this way, or is it reserved for me because I purchased a Groupon? If you aren't going to treat customers the same just because they found a "great" deal, DON'T POST DISCOUNTS ON GROUPON. read more

Not a very nice greeting when I arrived, very poor selection of gel polish, "hot pink" is actually very very faint light pink, not to mention ever since my nails were done Wednesday 7/12/17 my skin all around my nails is completely messed up and tearing away from my nails, getting worse by the day! As of 7/20/17 nails still not healed still in pain, went for a refund 7/19/17 only to be lied to and the lady that did them said she didn't use cuticle cutters on me even when I left there one nail bed was bleeding from them!! She is lying because she was now caught by the owner undercharging customers (probably in hopes of a better tip). They had the refund out until my mom and I said we were still very disappointed in the customer service and would still be letting people know so they don't end up in this pain, they then put the refund back in the drawer and said they were no longer giving it to us! Not to mention another stylist working with another customer in the salon trying to bud into a conversation that didn't include her at all because she wasn't even working the day this happened! read more

The worst pedicure I've ever had. The girl was young just out of school very nice but horrible pedicure. The whole thing lasted a total of 15 mins including painting and dry time. First the pedicure chairs are old and not in great working condition. Next I had shellac on my toes which is normally soaked off so not to damage the nails..she said they didn't have the right cotton to do the soak???? She proceeded to file and peel off the Polish..I should have left then..she said she didn't like to cut toes nails so she just filed my big toes down uneven at that and didn't touch the rest . As far and the scrub well let's just say my feet were snagging on blankets that night. The lotion was apply in 30 seconds . Her painting took all of 2 mins and was horrible she said she was going to let them dry then apply top coat..well she left and never did it I was so dissapointed I just put my shoes on and left I never should have paid for it but I'm to nice and it was my first and last time going there...needless to say I paid 31$$ and now the next day at another salon getting good another pedicure...please don't waste your money or time read more

I have not had my hair done here by my husband and son have. I want to say that there was a gentleman that intially was the stylist however he is not there and that was why my husband kept going there. My husband went elsewhere for a while and recently went back. The stylist that did his cut did a nice job (she had cut his hair once before) and he is going back to her. My husband and I agree that that in general, the stylists are unprofessional in that they are too loud, talk too much about personal issues, stop to take personal cell calls and gossip too much. The stylist that my husband had apparently was quite chatty about her personal life which my husband wasn't thrilled about but his cut was good so he will continue to go to her. I would highly recommend that the management take a good hard look at the atmosphere they portray. Other concerns are that I had to call multiple times before getting an answer other than a generic answering machine message which I didn't leave a message on since I wasn't sure it was the correct number and my husband had an appointment and once we arrived, they didn't have him written in the book, they were busy and wanted him to come back. That was when he decided to go elsewhere. read more
