I first met Liz last April (2016) when my Boxer became ill. She helped him and myself in many ways. Making his life comfortable in my home with her care. She was able to draw his blood here at home and then drop the vials off to my Veterinarian. This made a huge difference in me having to get my dog in/out of the car etc. Truly she reduced most of the stress. She worked with my Vet so that my boy could have the best of both worlds. She provides IV fluids and acupressure among many other services. Over time Liz has worked with all three of my dogs. Sally Rodriguez Hamm (FurMom)

I am certain this was very much in part due to Liz's connection with him and her careful and nurturing manner. She's the professional, the rock, the strength, the nurturing...the ONE you need for your pet. You will thank me, I promise.

He was only five years old so even though our time together was short, he brought more love and joy into my life than I ever thought possible. I first contacted Paws at Peace a few months before I ultimately had to make the decision. Colleen was my first point of contact, and from the very beginning she was warm, patient, and understanding that I was still trying to figure out whether it was the right time. At that time March, Applesauce thankfully still had some good days ahead of him. But by May, he had slowed down significantly and was in a lot of pain so I knew it was time. Dr. Zhu came to our home and was so kind, compassionate, and gentle in a way that made an incredibly heavy moment feel just a little lighter. She never rushed anything and gave us extra time with him, which was something I had been so afraid wouldn't happen. She asked about his favorite toys, and in his final moments I found myself reminiscing about him with her as if she were a friend who had known us both for years, even though we had just met. After he passed, he was wrapped in a beautiful blanket and placed in a basket. I carried him down the stairs and brought him to the car for cremation. Saying goodbye to him was heartbreaking beyond words, but the way Dr. Zhu handled every step was so thoughtful and tender that I feel deeply grateful he was in such caring hands. I truly feel so thankful that my vet recommended Paws at Peace to me. They even followed up afterward with a beautiful card and continued support, which meant more than I could express. In such an unbearable moment, they made me feel held, supported, and cared for throughout. They helped make one of the hardest days of our lives a little more bearable and surrounded by so much love and compassion.

She did not rush through and was gentle with our cat and with us. Paws at Peace offers some extras (a paw print and a bit of fur in a little jar) in addition to cremation options. I initially thought these things were silly but I am glad we got them. It was easy to make the arrangements. We called at 8 AM and got a same day appointment. We got a text of the expected time and an update when there was a very slight delay. We got a follow up text the next day, with an offer for grief support. This is a well run organization. They know what they are doing. Best of all, they did not cause any additional grief to what was already a very sad day.

For our latest pet Bentley, he had multiple complex issues to include anemia, diabetes and cancer and was recently discharged from a 24/7 veterinary hospital. Rather than let him transition at the hospital we knew we could reach out to Dr. Lisa and request those services within our home. This was more comfortable for him and for us to have the ability to say goodbye in the place he had called home with his family. Dr. Lisa was very transparent on her pricing each time we called upon her. And each time we made that phone call to her we knew it was only a day or so away before we would have to say goodbye to our fur baby. My wife and I are very appreciative of the services offered as well as Fifi and Bentley. From the bottom of our hearts, thank you.

We knew that we wanted to have her cremated as we had done we other pets that had passed through the years. We had dealt with another crematory in the past through our vet(s) and were nt happy with the recent reviews that they'd been getting. After some research we came upon your crematory and were happy with what we were reading about other people's experiences. We called that morning and spoke to Marisol who was very sympathetic, informative, and respectful. She gave us an appointment right away. We drove to them in Secaucus from Brooklyn and when we arrived Marisol met us at the door. She and Mariah were very polite, understanding, and accommodating. They took our Oreo and placed her on a bed surrounded by flowers and gave us some time alone to say our goodbyes. Marisol then waked us through the cremation process and showed us where it would be done and guaranteed us that it would only be Oreo's ashes that we would be receiving. We were given the opportunity to be present for Oreo's cremation. Ultimately Oreo's ashes were returned to us in less than 2 hours and were were able to bring her back home with us same day. They made this sad morning easier to get through. Along with Oreo's ashes we received a beautiful wooden box to keep her in with an engraved brass pate attached, a certificate allowing us to travel with her ashes, a wooden beaded bracelet, her paw print in clay with 2 gems attached, a stand for her paw print, a rose that lights up, and a notebook with the Rainbow Bridge poem on the cover. We were overwhelmed by all that we were given and the wonderful service that we were provided by Marisol and Mariah. We highly recommend Pet Rest in Peace to any loving pet owner.

So besides needing eye drops for glaucoma and a cataract she required Prednisone. Well we all see these commercials for wonder drugs ( the wonder is why we take them with all the side effects) so even though the Prednisone gave my girl relief it slowly started to effect other systems. Last week in what appeared to be overnight she slowly stopped eating but only drank. That was a red flag. Took her to an emergency facility which was a nightmare. Four hours sitting around waiting for some diagnosis. Every so often someone would come out and give some empty info. Finally a vet came out and provided me with a 3 page plan with an estimate that sent me to the cardiologist. This where Zen Dog comes in. Based on the diagnosis and the plan with no light at the end we felt the best most humane course of action was to euthanize. Spoke with Dr. Ray., he could not have been more understanding and compassionate. He showed up at the house took the time to explain the process. Once comfortable with what was going to happen he started. Dr Ray gave us time to be with her and comfort her until the end. It was a very tough thing to deal with but she went with family around in her home and peacefully. We could have taken him back to the vet and done it in a clinical setting, but we chose to look into in-home euthenasia. Choosing to go with Dr. Cory was definitely the best decision we ever made. I spoke to many other bigger companies that provide the same service, and what I found was that I was either speaking with a sales person or it was nearly impossible to get the information I needed. When you call Dr. Cory, she either picks up or sends you a text but always corresponds with the information you need. I appreciated that very much, it immediately gave me a vote of confidence. She showed up on time as agreed, prepared with everything she needed neatly in a docor's bag. Her presence the entire time was calm, soothing, professional, and extraordinarily polite.
