Dr. McCaffrey was referred to us and she immediately came to assess the situation. She ran some tests and advised us how to properly care for our cat until the results came back. Then Dr. McCaffrey suggested we try a course of treatment, nothing crazy or invasive to the cat. Then suddenly, as I was discussing discharge, SATHISH went and continued what she'd said she wouldn't. I watched my dog die on the table. Only minutes after his writhing had completed did SATHISH ask if I would want team to use a crash cart to restart my dog's heart. Of course it was too late. Now, years later "Longevity" has surprised me again by sending a creditor after me and ruining my score rating with a massive bill I've never seen before. ROHINI TIRUMALA SATHISH has absolutely no idea what she's doing, and literally laughed and asked if this is the first time I've experienced death, then tried to give some spiritual lecture and blocked my leaving the room. So besides needing eye drops for glaucoma and a cataract she required Prednisone. Well we all see these commercials for wonder drugs ( the wonder is why we take them with all the side effects) so even though the Prednisone gave my girl relief it slowly started to effect other systems. Last week in what appeared to be overnight she slowly stopped eating but only drank. That was a red flag. Took her to an emergency facility which was a nightmare. Four hours sitting around waiting for some diagnosis. Every so often someone would come out and give some empty info. Finally a vet came out and provided me with a 3 page plan with an estimate that sent me to the cardiologist. This where Zen Dog comes in. Based on the diagnosis and the plan with no light at the end we felt the best most humane course of action was to euthanize. Spoke with Dr. Ray., he could not have been more understanding and compassionate. He showed up at the house took the time to explain the process. Once comfortable with what was going to happen he started. Dr Ray gave us time to be with her and comfort her until the end. It was a very tough thing to deal with but she went with family around in her home and peacefully. If anyone who reads this is at that point with their beloved pet, Zen Dog is in my opinion a great comforting option

Considering the nature of this issue, I knew we couldn't wait until tomorrow to go to our primary veterinarian. Upon entering, I was pleased to see how the front of the facility was immaculate, didn't have any type of smell (even considering it being quite busy), and the immediate help I got at the front desk. From the time we signed in and each time thereafter, we were kept informed, given clear explanation of what could be going on, and treatment plan. We were in there for a total ~5 hours. We had to keep in mind it was busy, other high priorities, and we were kept updated, while my little darling was kept in the back in an oxygen cage, as his anxiety was starting to flare up his asthma. He is every sense of the word "scaredy cat." Today, Dr. Daniel Ruvolo treated us and I cannot say enough great things. He was clear, spoke through all treatment options, and I felt confident in our plan of action and how I needed to monitor him. From the time I walked in, to checkout and picking up his meds at their pharmacy, I can't recommend them enough!!! :) We've been to other Vet ER hospitals and they don't even stack up remotely to Oradell Animal Hospital. Bravo to the entire staff!! **Side note: I greatly appreciated the designated cat area in the waiting room. This very much came in handy with my cat needing his quiet space.

So much compassion, from making the appointment to giving space & time during the visit to all the follow-up/check-in messages. Dr. Huang was so kind and patient, and he delivered all the services with so much grace. In-home euthanasia was easily the best option for me, as Mochi never liked going to the vet so there was no way I would make that his last moment. I also love that end-to-end services are offered, which reinforces the thought and care they put into their practice. The plaster paw print, fur clippings in the glass vial, the sympathy card with forget-me-not seeds, and also the donation in Mochi's name to PAWS NY are all so treasured, and the aquamation service (via Compassionate Care Pet Aquamation) was also top notch. I have considered their grief counseling services as well but am still working through a lot of life adjustments without Mochi. As hard as it's been after 15+ years with him, I'm grateful to have worked with Paws at Peace for his last journey.

Sat with me explaining the process and she took it from there. The transition was so peaceful and at the same time comforting to see my long time friend at peace. Letting go isn't easy. But this experience made it so much easier.
