Hannah, our 16 year old sweet kitty. We miss you.

I can't say enough about Dr. Lisa Bongiovanni. Such a blessing! She is the most understanding, sweet, caring vet a person could ask for. It was a very tough decision to make the call, but Dr. Lisa put us at ease in order to transition our kitty. Thank you for being so compassionate and helpful in such a stressful moment. You are our person when it's time for our other furbabies.

Dr. Lisa made an unbearably terrible experience easier with her compassion, kindess, and expertise. Her love for animals is apparent as soon as you meet her and we are so happy she was there to help with the transition for our beloved Harper.

I was recommended him my girl's old vet in Queens who didn't do visits in Manhattan and I cannot begin to say how lucky we are to have found him. I have been to so many vets over the years with my fur babies, some who look at you like a checkbook, to the point of telling me "maybe you should go elsewhere" when her nerves got the best of her (I'm looking at you Animal Medical Center) and others who put the needs of the animal above all else. He not only put my Leia's needs front and center but his care and compassion for the pet's companions, I can't say we're owners, was above and beyond. He gave my girl five more good years of life. Dealt with all my stupid questions and emails with patience and care. And he was here to gently ease her on her way. Anyone who needs a vet to take care of their furbaby. Please reach out to him. As I stated in my Facebook review: We would like to express…read moreour thanks and gratitude to Tender Comforts In home Pet Euthanasia for helping us today as our beloved Hamish transitioned from our hands across the bridge to God's hands. Hamish is our beloved almost 16 year old dog who had been increasingly in pain and panting, showing signs of dementia, and losing the ability to get up off the floor without assistance. Making the decision to put him to sleep was so very difficult. We were so relieved to find a vet who could provide a relaxing outdoor setting without the stress of a traditional veterinary hospital. Tender Comforts In home Pet Euthanasia is set on a farm in the country, so, on a plush blanket laid on grass and clover, underneath an oak tree, with a picnic table and benches available, beloved Hamish was able to gently leave behind his pain and anxiety with the help of Dr. Craig Little and Nurse Cindy. They explained everything that was going to take place and chatted with us which helped us relax. And of course they handled Hamish gently and compassionately. I was able to sit on the grass right next to Hamish and pet him constantly throughout the procedure. They explained some things along the way which was helpful. I remember Dr. Little reaching across Hamish with his stethscope to listen to his heartbeat, and gently indicating to me that he was gone. We were not rushed away; I was able to continue petting and talking to Hamish as long as I wanted to. My husband and I, as well as Hamish, were treated with great respect. Before we left, there were hugs all around. I noticed that when we left, Cindy got on the ground with Hamish and continued to pet and care for him. So for Hamish, it was a day that began with a breakfast of brownies, ham and cereal, which was followed by a nice ride in the car to Readington, where he got out onto a grassy field with a cozy blanket waiting for him to rest upon, and friendly people waiting to help him. Yes we are sad, and yes, we miss him, but the quality of care we received from Tender Comforts In home Pet Euthanasia definitely has helped us get through it. I should also mention that Dr. Little's wife Susie was our first contact with Tender Comforts In home Pet Euthanasia. She set up our appointment, and facilitated changing the times when we requested it. She was very compassionate! I also need to mention that we were given a sympathy card with wild flower seeds and a pamphlet on coping on the loss of a companion animal. I would not hesitate to use this service again, and highly recommend them to anyone who needs it for their pet. This is a tremendous resource!

Because Rio is an older dog and not always a great eater, Dr. Craig kept Rio in his lap and hand fed him. Susie cut up his meat in tiny pieces and sprinkled treat tidbits on top to tempt my fussy eater. Rio was so in love with Dr. Craig that he followed him non-stop and slept with him. Susie and Dr. Craig go way beyond mere daycare and understand each dog as an individual. They cater to doggy preferences (and they love and board cats, too). If you're lucky enough to get a space at Tender Comforts, you'll find an amazing place for your dog to spend time while you're away.

She allowed me to have many more years (he lived for 20) with my beloved furry companion. Now many years later she has helped me once again with a dog I inherited named Luna. She is a 7 yr old Chihuahua mix who suddenly started to suffer seizures, and became very wobbly and twitchy. Within the first couple of days the symptoms appeared we brought her to 2 different vet practices. They both drew the same conclusions of neurological issues (after ruling out toxins, injury, and tick borne diseases), but could not give a definitive answer without pricey diagnostics. So we started to medicate for one possible issue at a time to see which one would work (or not work) so we could rule out as we went along. In the meantime I contacted Liz looking for some guidance. I had a conversation explaining symptoms as well as sending her short videos during different activities. Immediately she recognized the involuntary movements, Luna was most likely suffering from cerebella ataxia. This made total sense to me as I have worked with cats that lived with feline cerebellar hypoplasia. Liz gave me a list of herbals for specific symptoms. Knowing I have some experience with natural medicines, she told me to "play with them" until I hit the right combination. I will not lie, I was reluctant to stop Luna's prescription from the vet as the pills seemed to be working; even though it was explained to me how the side effects may be preventing her from improving to the full extent. Then it happened, I accidentally dosed Luna twice one evening with her prescription meds. Luckily there was no harm done, but it was scary...and just the catalyst I needed to make the switch. Even though the first 2 nights she seemed to regress, I trust Liz. I told myself what I always told my customers, give it time. By the end of the 1st week, I started to see improvement. Over the past month I have tweaked her herbals (sometimes accidentally), and she is a completely different dog. She has not had a seiziure, nor does she twitch or wobble like she did a few weeks ago. She is now capable of eating, playing, walking on a leash and going to the bathroom like she did before the big seizures occurred and major symptoms appeared. Liz worked her magic once again...I used to trust Liz, now I have straight up faith in her!

DONT BRING YOUR DOG TO DOGGY SPA ON 15TH ST Y…read more On May 8th, 2026, I brought my dog in for what was supposed to be a simple teddy bear haircut. I handed over a happy, healthy dog and expected to pick him up looking fluffy and refreshed. Instead, I was horrified when they brought him back completely shaved down without a single warning or phone call asking for permission. I barely recognized him. Later, they contacted my family claiming my dog had red irritation bumps, but that made absolutely no sense. My dog sleeps beside me every single night, and I check him constantly -- he had never shown any signs of bumps, irritation, or skin problems before stepping foot into this place. To make matters worse, they somehow lost his collar, something I then had to replace out of my own pocket. When I brought my dog home, his entire personality had changed. He seemed withdrawn, miserable, and deeply uncomfortable, nothing like the playful dog I dropped off earlier that day. His condition worried me so much that I rushed him to the vet, where I was given medicated cream for his irritated skin. Then, two days later, I discovered a black mark on his ear that suddenly began bleeding heavily. It genuinely looked as though he had been cut during the grooming process. Seeing my dog in pain and bleeding was heartbreaking and infuriating. When I confronted the owner about everything that had happened, she denied every single concern and refused to take any responsibility. The entire experience was upsetting, stressful, and traumatic for both me and my dog. If you truly care about your pet's safety and well-being, I strongly urge you to think twice before bringing them here. I will absolutely never trust this place with my dog again.
