We stopped on our way home from a roadtrip and we were hungry. What a wonderful surprise! Residing in a strip mall, you are taken to a another world when you walk in. We felt like we dining in a small Greek village next to the Ionian Sea. The dining room is cozy and comfortable. Our server, Kostas, made sure we felt welcome and made our meal even more special. My wife enjoyed the Kotopoulo Fileto, which is a perfectly grilled chicken breast on a bed of Greek-style braised green beans and accompanied oven-roasted lemon potatoes. I ordered the vegetarian platter which came with Imam Baildi (baby eggplant), Gigantes (large white beans), Spanakopita and Patzaria & Pistachio Skordalia (baked beets with pistachios). Our meal was simply amazing. If you are looking for a wonderful Greek meal, this is the place for you. We will being heading back to try even more dishes on their very large menu! read more

I had wanted to try Our Mom Eugenia for a while, and now I wonder why I waited so long. Its tucked in the corner of the Great Falls strip mall, but inside feels like a classic Greek restaurant. We were warmly greeted immediately by the gentleman playing traditional Greek music by the entry. Our server for the meal was excellent as well. The Tyrokeftedes were a special for the night and a great appetizer. The Moussaka was one of the best I have ever had. It was a memorable meal and a great evening. read more

While the service is friendly, the food is pretty bad by my taste and it is significantly lacking in affordability. I ordered a chicken dish with fresh green beans and potatoes. The chicken was pretty good, but the beans and potatoes were cold, overcooked, and soggy. I asked for a glass of the house Chardonnay and when the bill came, the price was $16 per glass. Pretty much twice as much as you'd pay elsewhere in Great Falls. based on some of the reviews, some people seem to like this food, but I sure won't be going back. read more

The best thing about this restaurant was the service, which was phenomenal--very personal and helpful. We had the dip trio, the Greek salad, fried calamari, and zucchini fritter balls. They were all very good, and I think the most unique aspect was the creamy potato dip that was served with the calamari, which I loved. Not totally remarkable overall, I think it's about on par with other Greek restaurants in the DC area. I would totally come back here the next time I'm craving Greek food though. read more

Wow. I've heard so much about this place and so glad I finally made it here. Just wow! Starting with the freshly made bread, then their pita and hummus was simply fantastic. Then I had a couple of appetizers - meatballs and chicken souvlaki. Finally had the pasticchio daily special. It was by far THE BEST PASTICCHIO I'VE EVER HAD!! I could eat buckets of that. Here's my review: Very sweet and cozy place. The manager was so kind "Christopher" he let me preset table for my anniversary hours early. In a cute corner stripmall located near Great Falls this place has some of the best food & service in the area. Big dinning experience in small place. The table setting is clean, signature drinks were awesome & then the bread & appetizers are delicious. Also tried meat appetizers Lamb chops and loved it along with Beet salad. 3dip tray was lovely. This was outstanding, great food! A friend steered us to this restaurant, and it actually is pretty hard to find. It's Tucktaway in a strip mall, and even once you park, it's hard to find the entrance. But it's worth searching out, because the food is very very good. We had two appetizers end one was a zucchini fritters, which was excellent. The second was the flaming cheese. The cheese itself was good, but it was the act of setting it on fire and that was super cool. While all the entrées were good, I would say the lamb was outstanding. Went to dinner with my wife on a Friday night. We made reservations for two. The parking lot can be tricky, so give yourself time to find a good spot. The restaurant was busy but not overcrowded. The hostess and server were polite and helpful. The mixed drinks we ordered were tasteful. For food, we ordered several appetizers and one entree. It was just the right amount of food for two people to finish. Everything tasted fresh and flavorful. The restaurant was clean. The bathrooms were spotless. My boyfriend and I have been eager to try Our Mom Eugenia! A few weeks ago we attempted to get a table (without reservation) at their Mosaic location, but it didn't end up working out. When we noticed that they had a secondary location in Great Falls, we decided to give it another try. The food was very authentic and the portion sizes were great. Since it was our date night, we decided to order two appetizers and drinks. There was plenty of pita bread and eggplant dip for two people. My personal favorite appetizer we ordered would have to be the grape leaves though! Something we didn't know before coming here is that they serve you fresh bread. It's been about a year since we were here last. I'm so glad we stopped here this evening. Their Branzino was skinned and deboned by the waiter last time. This time, it was already boneless, and the skin was so crispy it was the best I've ever had. The dolmades appetizer and pastichio were also excellent. I ordered through Uber Eats from this restaurant for the very first time and it will most definitely be the LAST TIME since every single item I ordered was just PLAIN AWFUL!!!! I mean, how do you cook chicken kabobs to the point of dryness that matches the dryness of the Saharan Desert??? And then they advertise that their beets are "slowly baked to preserve the flavors and nutrients of this natural energy booster" but then they come PICKLED AND LOADED WITH SUGAR!!!! Last, but not least, there's the sautéed spinach... the ever so boring sautéed spinach. Coming from an "authentic" Greek restaurant, one would think they could at least add SOME flavor to it, yet it had ZERO flavor!!!! I had to add lemon and salt...what a shame, a true shame!!! We found this place while looking for a spot to grab some lunch on our road trip. It is located in the corner of a small strip mall. We went at 12:30p on a Wednesday and there was no one else eating then. Another table was sat shortly after we arrived and we were the only 2 tables during our entire stay. Our waitress was super nice and friendly and loved talking to us about Greece and Mediterranean cuisine. The food came out pretty quick and the service was good. Their baklava was the best ever tasted! My only complaint is the price. We were eating at lunch time and the pricing (imo) was more for the dinner menu. I was told that the chicken kabob was the lunch special. To me a special is traditionally cheaper or at a discount. When the bill came, it was $28!!!! I complained and it was reduced to $20. The other two meals were $16 each.....for lunch! Our bill for 3 meals, 2 desserts and one soda was $85. If we'd known it would cost that much, we would not have eaten there. While the food may be good, the ownership has made multiple commitments to local non-profits and received recognition via signage and marketing; HOWEVER, they have never followed through on the committed donations. Even after being asked multiple times, they do not stand by their word, and worse - they are incredibly rude about it (I.e. get the **** out of my restaurant) when confronted. If you remember the former Ray's Hell Burger in Arlington when he used to ground up the steaks from his other place (Ray's the Steaks), it's a similar concept. And the results are outstanding. My family and I go there a handful of times a year, & every time has me wanting more! First, the service is always so kind and authentic. We've never had a problem here! The food comes quickly, the waiters are all so nice, and then the food blows your mind and tastebuds. My favorite entrée at Our Mom Eugenia, is their Moussaka. Now, I will say it's more of an acquired taste, because I know not all are fans of eggplant, but man oh man if you are a fan, you'll be beyond satisfied. The lamb is also fantastic here...not surprising though..."that's okay I make lamb" iykyk. My favorite appetizer is their Spanakopita and let me tell ya it's really easy to mess up, but they know how to make it right. They have the perfect ratio of feta and spinach, and they drain the spinach properly so it's not soggy. Ugh, I am drooling thinking about them right now. The menu doesn't stop there. Even their dessert menu is to die for. My favorite is their Nutella Loukoumades. The portion size is big too, so you always get to go home with some left over dessert...if you can control yourself. Overall, if you've never eaten Greek food, you better go here first or you're doing it wrong. If you already love Greek food...well you'll love it even more after coming here! Food was great,I can't say a single word to criticize the dishes. Octopus is really difficult to cook and they did a great job by creating flavorful and juicy inside,but charred outside dish. Imam Baildi is a stuffed eggplant with tomatoes,onions and spices originated from Turkey,but this was amazing recipe,with raisins,pine nuts and mint. Yummy!!! Came here for my Birthday, and was not disappointed. I recently returned from living in Athens Greece for two years, so my expectations were high. It is hard for any US restaurant to live up to the amazing food I ate daily throughout Greece, but Our Mom Eugenia comes closer than anyone else. They are certainly limited by US produce, but they do an excellent job with both traditional dishes and more modern versions. They have a decent selection of Greek wines as well. I'll also say that the Portokalopita here is better than any I had in Greece (but keep that between you and me ) The service is fast, friendly, and professional. The location is in a shopping center, so nothing super fancy, but they do a nice job of creating an intimate atmosphere. Price is on par with what you'd expect.
