if we could give this a zero star we would this was the I have ever experienced. We ordered out which were average at best. And they literally never asked us for our entrées. We literally watched an entire NBA game before they came back and we had to wave them down. Please do not come. I'm actually begging you. This is a from a victim.

I have been to this place a few times over the years. We were looking for a restaurant everyone would like and The Old Brogue was what was decided upon. Plus it was a celebration of a few July birthdays (mine included) I believe there are a couple entrances...I went in the one right off the parking lot. I was seated toward the back of the bar area. The waitress comes over and I order a Solace Partly Cloudy on tap. She brings 4 glasses of water as well (always a good idea). After a bit the other three arrive and we're looking at the menu. I decided to split the fish and chips with someone. Another Solace....the food arrives and we're all enjoying dinner. The menu is pretty extensive, Irish dishes are the majority of what they make. Lots and lots of bourbon and whiskey choices. See the Old Brogue Happiness guide. With how busy the bar area was we received good service. Food was hot and orders came out right. It will be ago to if people travel to my area and want to grab a bite.

It's completely tucked away and completely charming as you walk up to it AND of course it was decked out for St Patrick's Day! We went because I was in the mood for a full Irish fry-up (eggs, sausage, beans, mushrooms and tomatoes) - I think it goes by many other names - but it is a hearty breakfast and something I miss from my study-abroad days... nearly 20 years ago! Goodness I'm old! ... Anyway, it was pretty darn good. The black and white sausage was delicious and the over easy eggs were cooked perfectly - I passionately dislike when yolk gets solid and there was none of that - just a pocket of ooey gooey golden deliciousness that was the perfect sauce for everything on my plate. I personally prefer my mushrooms and tomatoes to be fried, but they still dressed up the tomato a little and I think it would have been much better if they were in season - basically no flavor, which I think frying would have resolved. I also prefer toast over potatoes but that is a personal preference and I am sure they would have subbed if I had asked. The breakfast was solid though and went perfectly with my coffee and pint of Guinness! My husband got the Rueben, which he said was very good, top 5, and he has eaten like 50 different ones, so I would say that is pretty decent I would definitely try this place again, maybe for dinner and some live music on the weekend - but I do have a few constructive points: 1) the condiments on the tables looked like they hadn't been wiped down in quite some time - now it was THE Holiday this weekend for Irish pubs in the U.S. so maybe, maybe, it was just due to how busy they were - but the malt vinegar was so bad we wouldn't touch it. 2) My food was very good, there were serious high notes that it hit, BUT it was all rather lukewarm - again, maybe due to the crowd, willing to give it another shot... 3) Not sure if there is anything they can do about it, but if you sit on the wrong side of the enclosed patio, your view is of a port-a-potty... not exactly appetizing. I guess if you get that spot, like I did, don't look around ‍ stare straight ahead at your dining partner...

Good hearty Steak and Egg brunch next to a cozy fireplace. Quick service with fun staff. Back soon.

Got charged $14 for a martini and this is what they gave us. Food was mediocre. 2 stars instead of 1 because the waitress was extremely nice.

Came here on a Saturday for the first time for lunch with a big group of friends without calling ahead and was given a table quite quickly. I hadn't really tried any of the restaurants in the Village, and this was a solid introduction. I ordered the California turkey club, which was tasty but did not blow me away. Pricing is about average by Great Falls standards - expect to pay about $20-25 a person if you order just an entree. Service was good across the board, and food came out in time. Solid establishment, as a whole.

Decade after decade, this place thrives. Stopped here Saturday to take my wife and daughter on a nostalgic tour. The burger is still the best around, using really quality beef. Great onion rings lightly battered. Best Fish and Chips in the US. Love this place

There there is an Olive Garden nearby so it isn't out by itself, even if it feels like it. The weather was beautiful, so we grabbed a high top in the bar area, overlooking a nice little pond behind the restaurant. The service in the bar was surprisingly good, despite the bar itself being pretty crowded and nearly every table around it being populated. The food was served quickly and they allowed us to customize to our liking (TIP: pay the nominal upcharge to replace your existing side dish to Brussels sprouts with bacon and spiced pecans! Or get it as a side to share) I had the Hickory Grilled Hanger Steak with mashed potatoes and a field greens salad, except no potatoes. The salad was amazing (it has dates in it for a sweetness to balance the sour of the dressing) and the medium rare steak was phenomenal. We each had a glass of beer -- the Pale Face Summer Wheat on draft. It is a classic German Hefeweizen and described as "malty with banana and clove flavors." I tested the banana on my first sip. It was a solid choice. The next day, we worked a 15 hour day without stopping to eat. By the time we finished, we were so tired that we agreed to return. I ordered the same steak and my coworker followed my recommendation. He agreed that this is the steak to order. (even if he ordered his more well done than mine). For the second visit, we ordered the bread pudding for dessert instead of beer with dinner. I suggest splitting the dessert. Don't get me wrong, it was fantastic, but was definitely shareable after a full steak meal.

We definitely went to the Dabney quite a bit when Sam was working there. But, as for Evelyn Rose - we couldn't be more thrilled. When the Bazins announced that they were selling their restaurant, I honesty couldn't think of better new owners, and they have just nailed it. Food: The food is excellent. Always well-seasoned with lots of choices for all different appetites and preferences. A few specific touches that I personally love - half portions of pasta, options on an a la carte menu as well as a tasting menu (every evening!) and the ability to often order courses a la carte off the tasting menu. Flexibility is the name of their game, and it is truly appreciated. Chef Nick really has a way with fish, and that's frequently what I order there, but honestly, I think only one time did I have a dish that I felt was sub-par (I had a meat dish that was slightly overcooked and a tad dry) but that's a few and far between occurrence. Last night I had the rockfish dish which was perfectly crisped, and the sauce and beans that accompanied it were just perfect. My husband had the gnocchi which was light and fluffy. Service: Sam, the co-owner and Sommelier, is really just amazing at hospitality. He is friendly, warm, and always looking to ensure you are having a great experience. He's put together a small, but well-curated wine list - nothing overly expensive, and wines that you'd 'expect' to see as well as hidden gems. He's always willing to offer advice on wine pairings - not just for the tasting menu but the a la carte menu, which is always appreciated by my husband and I. Aside from Sam, generally, the service is attentive most times we have dined there - most of the time, if the service is lagging a bit, it's usually because they are packed! Vibe: Evelyn Rose has a cozy, warm vibe. Lots of exposed wood and blue and gold tones throughout the restaurant. Do note that it can get loud, especially on weekends when they are packed. Other: We are very blessed to have such an excellent restaurant down the street. Don't take my word for it - we were at Albi just a few nights ago and when we mentioned to the bartender we live in Vienna, they said "oh, have you been to Evelyn Rose?" (seriously!) Coming from a bartender at a one-star Michelin restaurant...I'd say that's quite the compliment. Looking forward to many more dinners at Evelyn Rose!

Another in my party enjoyed the shrimp tacos and the burger. Being inside the Marriott, it is a little overpriced, but the food is good, just hit or miss with service. Great for a quick bite if you're staying in the Marriott.
