Photos are definitely one of the most important things to us for our engagement and wedding day. We did A TON of research to find someone with the look we wanted that wasn't outrageously expensive. It took about a month of research and asking for recommendations until we came across them. We loved everything we saw on their website and drove out to meet Ryan as soon as we could. We were a little nervous about this because we also wanted to make sure that we connected well with our photographer. Ryan was so great and both my fiance and I felt like we instantly connected with him! We were a little anxious/nervous to get our engagement photos done just because we had no clue what we were doing and wanted them to be perfect. Both Ryan and Sheri quickly took all of our worries away. They are so professional and told us exactly what to do and what looks good. We had a great time with the both of them that day and didn't want it to end! Ryan and Sheri are so awesome! We were so blown away with our engagement photos and so was everyone else that saw them. They are very experienced and so great at their job. You can tell they have a passion for it because it shows in their work. Our Story Creative is Ryan and Sheri's newly re-branded company, and I can't be more thrilled to leave them their first review! Ryan and Sheri were my videographers for our wedding at La Venta Inn, and they did a fabulous job. We started our search for videographers late because we had originally not wanted videography for the wedding, and a family member had offered to capture video/photo for us as he was looking to get into the business. After much consideration, about 3 months before the date, we decided that we would much rather our family enjoy the event. Furthermore, we had absolute confidence in our photographer, Gavin Wade Photography, to capture our day in photos. Family members tend to just get in the way. We tried to contact the vendors on the referral list but were not happy with any recommendations. We loved our engagement photos so much from Gavin that we asked him for recommendations for videographers, also recognizing that videographers and photographers should work together to not be in eachother's shots, etc. Although Ryan's office is over an hour away from my place of residence in Downtown LA and over 2 hours from the event area (!), he was more than happy to meet with us at a half-way point the first time and set up a facetime call for the final meeting. He was friendly and confident at our first meeting and made us comfortable with the idea of videography. Furthermore, Ryan and Sheri happened to be Gavin and Erin's (photographers) great friends, and so that was a great plus! Ryan was more than happy to modify the existing plans slightly in order to fit our needs as well as the special timing of the venue. He also got in touch with my coordinator in order to get drone footage earlier than normally permitted. Thus, he was actually at the venue 4+ hours before it started to get footage, and stayed all the way at the end, all at a great price! On the day of, Ryan and Sheri were there early and had everything set up. Sheri stayed with the girls and even helped with my almost-dress crisis, while Ryan was running around getting shots of everything in the most efficient manner I've ever seen. They blended in so well with the background, that I hardly noticed them all night (which is a good thing!). I did not see them during the ceremony at all, and it made the moment so much more special. The drone footage was amazing and really added to our highlights and videos. Most of our guests were wow'ed by the footage or even the appearance of the drone. Ryan and Sheri obviously enjoy their work and had a smile on their faces all night long. Our highlights video was delivered the day we got back from honeymoon (1 and half weeks later!) and it was way beyond expectations. I cannot say enough nice things about Our Story Creative. I encourage anyone looking for videographers to have a chat with them and take a look at their portfolio. We love Sheri and Ryan! From start to finish. They did an extraordinary job. They captured all our emotions with every shot. I know that when I look at our Wedding photos in a year, in 5 years, in 50 years (God willing), they will evoke all those wonderful and elated feelings. One Plus One Cinematography (now renamed Our Story Creative) is the fabulous husband/wife team of Ryan and Sheri! They are so professional and invested in their clients, we loved working with them. We lived out of state so all of our meetings with them were via Skype or conference call. Even with that, we felt like we were a priority to them and we really clicked! They came early on the day of the wedding and split up with the groomsmen and bridesmaids to capture all of the pre-wedding festivities. We almost forgot they were there, they did such a great job of making us feel comfortable and they were so fun to work with!! We loved the fact they had a drone to capture wide shots of the beautiful beach and cove. They caught every angle of the important moments throughout the day but they also caught the quiet moments too. We were SO impressed to get a 30 second sneak peek video on Instagram the day after the wedding!! It all felt like a dream but having a video to look at the very next day made it all feel real! We love our highlight video and the song selection they made. Nearly all of our friends/family tell us they cried upon watching the video because it is so beautiful and heart felt. We have yet to receive our final wedding video package and it's been almost 3 months since our wedding. We were hoping for a quicker turnaround but I'm sure the busy wedding season has something to do with that. I know once we receive the final footage we will be absolutely thrilled. We didn't know how much we NEEDED a videographer until we saw our highlight video. Now we can't imagine not hiring a videographer for our special day and we can't imagine not working with Our Story Creative. We absolutely loved how everything turned out, and Ryan/Sheri are a dream to work with!! read more

Our story creative (ryan and Sheri) did our wedding and engagement shoot. I cannot say enough about this company. Not only did our pictures come out amazing but they are so fun to work with. We did our engagement shoot almost a year in advance so we can use the photos for our save the date. EVERYONE loved the pictures. They are so vibrant and the upmost quality. Their attention to details and camera angles are amazing. Everyone can have a "prom posed picture". When you work with ryan and Sheri they take you above and beyond that. My wife was so comfortable with them by laughing the whole time. It allowed her to not be self conscious and live in the moment. My favorite moment is when Sheri had to lay down behind a water fountain to hold up our save the date sign while ryan took the shot. It just shows how above and beyond this husband and wife duo will go to give you what you want. The wedding, ryan and Sheri did the photos and video starting early that day. They not only shot our wedding but us getting ready before that. They strive to tell a story of your wedding DAY. I guess that's the reason the company is called our story creative. They gave us shots of my wife getting ready at the beauty salon (away from venue) and then got over to the venue before anyone showed up in order to fly the drone over the open property. They then proceeded into my grooms room to get shots of me and my best men getting ready. Now you think just guys getting dressed in there. Nope! When we received the highlight video it shows my dad preparing and putting in my pocket square. That alone is a memory I will never forget! They prepared a slideshow that was playing during cocktail hour. It had photos of our engagement shoot and some of us growing up together. All of our guests were surprised to see the slide show as most companies don't prep that for cocktail hour. They were able to capture all key events of the night. Even my dad and I enjoying a shot at the bar. They are very hard working and will get you want you want. They even asked if there were any special photos we had in mind. We received over 800 photos from them, a highlight video, full video of the ceremony and a video of the speeches. Pretty much everything we asked for. We hired Ryan and Sheri for our wedding Nov 7, 2015 as our photographers and videographer (formerly One Plus One Cinema). They were just starting to grow their wedding photo portfolio and gave us a good deal to hire them for both services, so my husband and I decided to go for it. We chose them for our special day because of the high quality of videos. They are very talented and the quality of videos and pictures are incredible. We were very pleased with our engagement photos and they were awesome to work with the day of our wedding! Shortly after the wedding, we were pleasantly surprised with our amazing highlight video which we still watch to this day over and over again. Many family and friends have told us they have never seen such an amazing wedding video and it made them cry! We cherish the video so much. A couple weeks later, that they had our pictures to us right before Thanksgiving! The only negative experience we had was the lack of communication from them after this point about when we would receive our final videos. After many emails and phone calls to him, with little or no response back, lead to us being extremely frustrated and worrisome that we may never see our final wedding videos. Finally, we did receive our videos and raw video/photo footage just before our one year anniversary. We hope with this feedback and the ones we have read from others on this topic they have learned that communication is extremely important. I still wanted to give them a good rating because the quality of their work is amazing and outweighs the poor communication. But the lack of communication after the wedding is our only complaint. I hope the others out there eventually receive their final product. read more

Ryan and Sheri are amazing! I am the mother of the bride. I have only seen a snippet on a sneak preview of the film that Ryan and Sheri created and it brought tears to my eyes! They were absolutely wonderful people to work with. I can't wait to to see the entire film ....as with the teaser they managed to capture so much of the story. My fiancé and I just finished our engagement session on Catalina Island with Our Story Creative. I tend to be a hypercritical judge of fine details (just ask my fiancé...), and photography is no exception. To make things worse, in the age of Instagram and Pinterest, it's honestly hard to keep one's expectations realistic. But trust me: Our Story Creative has the vision and the skill to make your photography dreams come true! Our engagement pictures came out absolutely breathtaking, and I'm so relieved/excited to have them booked for our wedding in 2019! It's crazy how they're able to see the world in such amazing angles, backdrops, lighting. Even better, Ryan and Sheri were so easy to work with. As professionals, they were super responsive and flexible, especially in working out scheduling challenges and addressing our personal priorities. As people, they are hilarious, genuine, and passionate. The whole engagement session was such a memorable adventure... as if we were all good friends, just exploring the island in a golf cart and working as a team to create art.
