I don't recommend the catering place an order for 25 people a week ago and sent the final order on Wednesday, Dec. 7 to be picked up on Friday, Dec. 9 at 11:30am for a Christmas lunch at work. Luncheon was scheduled for 12:00pm Got there at 11:32 and didn't get the order until 12:00pm and I work 20 minutes away. (Also, nobody came to the car. I called to let them know I was there after waiting 10 minutes still nobody came out. Then I went into the restaurant 10 minutes after that to check on the order. I get it is a busy time of year. (If you can't do the orders just let people know when you call) But got back to work and not enough utensil, not every salad had dressing, no mustard and ketchup for the burgers and one order didn't have fries. I sent a spreadsheet on Wednesday with names and what each person wanted. Just a bit upset and will probably not use Outback for our catering anymore. read more

It took 10 minutes to be seated, another 20 for our drinks to be ordered and I had to flag the waitress down after she walked by us 4x making eye contact, another 25 for them to bring our appetizer and take our order. My wife and I had a bad experience here about 2 years ago. We decided to give it another shot. We didn't have to wait to be seated. But we had to wait 15 minutes to get our drink orders in, another 15 to actually get our drinks. The waiter was too slow. Took over 45 minutes to get our food when most of the seats in the place were empty and when it finally did come out my chicken was rawer than my wife's steak! it was still a little pink and not even hot! Visited our local Outback Steakhouse for a late lunch and really enjoyed having the place almost to ourselves! Clean, comfortable atmosphere. Our waiter, "Country" did an amazing job! The burger I lead on the greasy side. Not a big hit with me! We had onion petals but those were way too greasy also! But the bread was hot, fresh and really good! I agree with previous reviewers. The restaurant is not great. Service is attentive enough but they were really confused by my wine order. I asked for a Malbec, which may be confusing to some. It's understandable when my waitress returned and said they didn't have it, so I changed to a Shiraz. That was also confusing because it took a while and she mentioned they had a hard time finding it at the bar. Weird. The salad was bad, just bad: old produce, overdressed. But the meal was otherwise delicious. The bread was warm and arrived quickly. My server was quite lovely and very apologetic, full of vim and vigor, maybe new. My filet was fantastic, cooked properly and the excellent quality I've come to expect from Outback. It was the first time I've had the mac and cheese side. While delicious, I checked the calories online and had to put it down. Will save for lunch tomorrow. Overall, I would come here again, although not if I was in a rush. Ordered a draft beer and told they were out of the beer I wanted. Finally got our drinks with our entrees. Blooming onion had little batter and not cooked all the way. Forgot to bring our salads. Got salad after I meal. Ordered loaded potato and was given a regular potato. Waitress said she would bring the toppings, but never did. Restroom was filthy. Staff not friendly. Noticed that other guests were having problems also. They were not busy at all. Took over 20 minutes for someone to come take payment. Our lunch took over 2 hours. It was almost too much customer service. There's a fine line between checking on guest too little and too much. Autumn checked on me (one person) a little too often during my meal. Other than that she is great and I recommend her. She gave recommendations on the menu and shows interest in her guest. The music choices in this restaurant suck. We went to this Outback for my birthday and I highly recommend it. From the moment we walked in we were greeted with smiles from the friendly and courteous staff and they went above and beyond to make our dining experience a pleasurable one. The food was delicious and perfectly cooked and the prices are just as you would expect at say a Red Lobster just better quality from my point of view. This Outback Steakhouse must train their waiting staff on the morals of a Tasmanian Devil. Everything was perfectly fine(except for the music, it sounded like we were in a Claire's) until we ordered our drinks and appetizer. Our waitress disappeared as quickly as she arrived. Once our drinks were dropped off, we never saw our waitress again until over 30 long minutes later when our Bloomin' Onion was served. We sat hopelessly with our drinks filled with nothing but ice and watered down sodas, but at last, we were greeted with our delectable treat(which was rather delicious). When she brought us some refills, she disappeared once more, only for us to see her over 30 minutes later with our bill($18.98 for 2 drinks and a Bloomin' Onion), which took her another 10 minutes to pick up. Awful service! We had to wait 15 minutes to be seated when half the restaurant was empty. Then once seated, our waitress got our drink order but took at least 10 minutes to come back with our drinks and left. We then had to ask our waitress for the bread and our appetizer before the meal came as it was taking a long time. We had to keep requesting refills rather than her taking the initiative. Then after sitting for an hour waiting on our food, she came to tell us that the kitchen misplaced our ticket order and had to retake the entire order. Thirty minutes later our food came out with still having some of the incorrect food. The waitress was very slow and hardly checked on us the whole time. So we went to outback for dinner tonight and we waited for 10 minutes and then the lady said at the desk that we had to wait until the 5:30 waiter came in. So my husband ask her again if we had to wait until he came in she said yes. So we left and so did 4 other people. As my boss would say money just walked out the door. So in my family there are 4. And plus 4 others walked out total of 8 people. Now when I go to outback i normally spend 80.00 plus tip. Not at this place. So I wouldn't go here there was also a couple waiting to. Do not go to Albany Outback! Worst experience ever for any entry level steakhouse. Usually outback always gets their temps correct on steak however this was the exception. Porterhouse was ordered medium rare and came out medium. To start I ordered the salad and requested extra dressing. Extra dressing did not come out so waiter said he would get. Approximately 15 minutes later steak came with no extra dressing for salad. Had to send steak back due to concern of being cold after eating salad. When steak eventually came out it was over cooked. At this point I just expected a manager to come to the table to follow up however this never occurred. Next time in Albany I will take my business to Long Horn. I don't know what it is about Albany, but the service and kitchen experience has been really bad since we have moved here. We came into Outback on 7/17 around 5:30 when there was hardly anybody in the restaurant. It took our server 10 minutes or more to come and introduce herself and then it took another 10 minutes for her to bring our drinks. My husband ordered something with steak and I ordered the tortilla soup and a salad. My daughter ordered the grilled cheese. Those took forever to come out, and when they did come, they looked like they had been sitting for awhile on the counter. The family behind us barely touched their meal because they said the same thing. Drink refills also took forever in an almost empty restaurant. Outback was yet another disappointing restaurant experience in Albany. It seems that customer service and food quality is really lacking around here, which is unfortunate. read more

Overall the food at Outback has always been sort of a mixed bag. While the steaks are not bad, some of their other menu items leaves quite a bit to be desired. A couple of dishes that I especially dislike are their mashed potatoes and the blooming onion. The mashed potatoes just tastes weird and the blooming onion was too salty. I couldn't even finish it. Many other dishes are decent though. Customer service is usually good. I always sit at the bar and the bartender has always been attentive. I never had to wait for insane amounts of time for my meals. I will eat here whenever I'm in the mood for steak (although I will admit there are better options even in Albany for steak). read more

However, my family brought me to Longhorn Steakhouse tonight for my 38th birthday celebration, and after a 20 minute wait they wanted to put our party of 7 in two back to back booths. Being an avid Yelper, I used my Yelp app for iPhone to call Outback and found out they hade a table for 8 open with no waiting. Talk about a nice twist of fate; this was where I wanted to go all along, but didn't have the heart to mention it. They didn't disappoint either. The service was great, the food was great, the restaurant was great. The Rack of Lamb was a little tougher than it should be even though I ordered it medium, but it tasted great. We sat in a booth in the bar for over an hour and the bartender never cleared half eaten food and dirty dishes from the bar. Went here for lunch with a group of eight of my coworkers. This was an absolutely terrible experience. It took over an hour and a half to get our food. My steak was way overcooked, the mashed potatoes were about room temperature. After saying "I'll have your entrees out shortly" our waitress disappeared. She was polite, but seemed to be hiding. "shortly" apparently meant 40-50 minutes later. I and one of my coworkers had to return to work as we had stuff to accomplish and didn't wish to wait on the inattentive and slow service so we went to the hostess station to get our bill immediately. As compensation for the poor service she removed the mandatory gratuity for our large group. I said I would not be coming back and the service was terrible. One of my peers complained to the manager and he ultimately comped the remaining members of the group. They brought back the managers card for myself and my coworker that departed early on the back was a complimentary "onion blossom". Sorry, still not enough to get me to come back to this restaurant. They lost several of my coworkers future business as well. Avoid this place for lunch unless you have three hours to kill and want to eat terrible food. read more

Stopped in for a late lunch/early dinner on your way back from doctor's appointments out of town. Had Tawoomba Pasta, but was disappointed that had amped up the spices and made it a little too much for my palate. My wife and two other members of our party had steak. The wife's medium ribeye was too done and had to go back while a medium rare filet had to be sent back due to being too rare. The service was great and the waitress did everything she could to accommodate us, but really wish the kitchen could get it together. We were from out of town and sat at the Bar for dinner. The bar tender was so behind that the bar tops and ever flat surface in the bar area was loaded in dirty dishes. Ordered a simple meal of babybacks, when they arrived they were cold like just came out of the freezer and microwaved from frozen to cold. I actually witnessed this. A gentleman was finishing a drink and left, the bartender went to his spot and grabbed his freshly used glass, swished it in the "dirty sink" for a split second, no washing, proceeded to fling it around in the air, set it in front of another customer and pour his ordered drink into it still wet....no kidding. We were engaged in conversation about his potential military plans and also his love and knack for the restaurant business. A very interesting young man. The manager, Ben Truitt, noticed us talking and stepped in to join. He was a great guy too and very proud and supportive of the solid worker he has in Henry. THESE no doubt are the people I would want handling my restaurant if I owned one. The direct opposite of past experiences at the Albany, GA location. I gave this two stars simply for the waitress that was awesome and thoughtful. That is the only good thing about our dining experience was the nice folks that work there. My wife ordered a burger with fry's and looked and tasted as it was from the lunch time the day before. The lettuce was literally brown and the fry's were soggy as if they were days old and microwaved. It was so bad we elected not to even take it for our dogs. I ordered the prime rib and it was very spicy compared to other times I've ordered the same meal. We ordered the fried mushrooms for an appetizer and they were over fried and most were hard and burnt. The waitress was kind enough to remove the burger from our bill when she saw that mess. Absolutely a horrible place to dine and will most certainly not be going back. The quality of this Outback is rapidly going downhill. As we were standing up our appetizer came but by then we decided we would have to leave... we were thinking maybe it was a busy night but 3 tables that sat way after us had already completely gotten their food. This was very bad service, sat at the bar, 1st I orders a coke and received a crown and coke! I don't drink liquor. 2nd I ordered potato soup and it was so watered down there were no potatoes in it! 3rd had to ask for refill of coke. 4th when paid check, they did not return my credit card! I used to like going to outback until now. My last 4 visits were completely horrible customer service and the food isn't what it used to be either. It's not worth it. I saw the family behind us actually ask to speak to the manager and complained their service was horrible as well. The table next to us tried to leave after not being served. I wasn't trying to be nosy, I just wanted to look around to see if our table was the only one being treated like shit, and welppppp they were treating the other tables like shit too. The waitress comes by our table (finally) and says "sorry, we have a difficult table right now" (referring to the family who asked to speak to the manager), which is BULL SHhhT bc our waitress "Angel" was only serving THREE TABLES and was in the back most of the time... TIP**** expect your food to come out late, and your bread? Forget about it, you have to ask for it. She lied and said it was in the oven but when we got it, it was cold. 6 people and you'll only get one bread. Your drinks? They'll come in 15 minutes. Your food? They'll come out but the orders will be wrong or mixed with everyone else's. You want your drinks filled up? Don't even think about it. You need sauce for your steak? That will come by the time you finish your food. Your waitress will not come back to check on you and if they do, they leave literally within 10 seconds before anyone else can ask for something. Your check? Expect a 20 minute wait. Sorry for the long rant but every time I come here it gets worse and worse. I mean I've had another incident where a waitress threw a napkin on my food and took my plate and I said I wasn't finished and she was like "Oh....you still want it?" I travel for a living and love Outback for the normally great food and service. This location was a total letdown!! I sat at the bar for over 10 minutes without a single person asking if I needed help. The manager saw me within 2 minutes, walked by me several times never saying a word! He was dealing with 3 different upset customers at the same time. I should have walked out but hung in there and finally was able to order. It was not a busy night and there were 5 other patrons at the bar with 3 of them with empty glasses. I have the app and am a rewards member, but I will Never return to this location.
