Pictured as a Victoria steak prepared not like I ordered it. This is obviously very very rare, I ordered medium rare. The vegetables were not cooked correctly either. The carrots were raw while the broccoli and squash were overdone and tasteless. My 5 star review is specifically for this Outback location in Annapolis. I will start by saying I have been to an Outback in mid-Missouri and the experience was such that I thought I'd never visit an Outback again. I decided to give it another chance, this time on the east coast. I'm glad I did. The service was phenomenal. Super friendly, all smiles the entire time. Very attentive to getting empty plates out of the way, keeping water glasses filled, explaining menu items, etc. It's obvious that management at this location stress the importance of customer service and friendliness. The food was great (note * ratings next to individual food/drink items): ****The Steakhouse Quesadilla was perfectly cooked, with prime rib inside. Really good choice. *****The Bloomin' Onion was, of course, amazing! This is a classic, a must have! ****The Three Cheese Steak Dip was so gooey and delicious, but it's heavy so be careful. The long corn chips that are served with it are awesome. **The Blue Cheese Pecan Chopped Salad is something I'd avoid. I like blue cheese but this was overwhelming. The last time I went to Outback I also had a bad experience with the salad as it didn't have fresh ingredients. This salad at the Annapolis location had fresh ingredients but there were too many contrasting flavors. This was a great chance for me to try the new menu items at one of my favorite steakhouses. There are many Outback Steakhouse locations but I drove all the way from the Towson area to the Annapolis area for the experience. My waitress was slow and my husbands steak was bad. He got a $34 bone in ribeye. He ordered it rare but it was very undercooked. We told the waitress and apparently you have to wait for the manager to bring the bill when you complain. Except the manager took 15 minutes to come. This location has really gone downhill. Came here on a Monday evening, restaurant wasn't busy at all and most tables were open. I was seated quickly with my family and our server was very nice but unfortunately not very attentive. While looking through the menu my husband notice something on the floor at the table behind us but assumed it was fallen bread or something but I started to notice a smell and that's when we realized there was poop on the floor. We were completely shocked and let the staff know immediately, one server insinuated that it might have been my two year old or maybe a service dog but my husband and I are extremely confident we would've noticed our kid sh***ing on the floor and there wasn't a dog there so not sure who did it or where it came from but very disgusting. After we were reseated on the other side of the restaurant we thought a manager would come by to apologize or something but no one came by, not even to take our drink order or to give us water or bread. After about 10 minutes we ended up leaving because as you can imagine we had lost our appetites. Would've given the restaurant more stars if we didn't have the poop incident. The staff we interacted with for the most part was friendly and I recognize it isn't the restaurant staff's fault someone did that, but the way it was handled and the lack of service throughout the whole experience was disappointing. read more

I'll have to say it's been a long time since I've been to any Outback restaurant. I used to love this place years ago and was a weekly gathering place for me and my friends or family. But the prices kept going up and the portions kept getting smaller they took all the variety of sauces away and the quality to details disappeared along with their rewards program. I was invited to join a get together at the one in Annapolis MD and had a very good experience. I tried a few new menu items and enjoyed the food even though it's not as good as it used to be I was blown away by the service. Everything was exceptional and the manager stopped by our table and introduced herself and checked on everything just like they used to. They are not ready - all 4 steaks ordered tasted and smelled like old meat and were over cooked - food took 2.5 hours to arrive and seems like they cooked and kept it warm for way too long before delivery and left out the appetizer that I paid for on top of the bad food and late delivery. Wow what a disappointing experience this past Saturday night! We waited an hour for a table with a baby! Luckily, she slept the whole wait time. I understand it was busy so we didn't mind waiting. In the past, Outback used to offer complimentary appetizers to customers in the waiting area which I might add would have helped the situation. Sadly, this particular visit no such thoughtfulness came from the management. I would like to point out that my wife and I come here about once every month and a half. We noticed that the last few times we visited the service has declined significantly from a couple of years ago. With that said, we were finally sat at around 7:50pm. From there it was all downhill. Our server took at least 10-12 minutes to greet us which is really not acceptable on a busy Saturday night. All I ask for is at least acknowledge our existence and say I'll be right over to take your order. After finally coming over to our table our server, who very nice and respectful, took our whole order. I was willing to give her the benefit of the doubt at this point but she took another 10 minutes to give us our drinks was which unbelievable to me(2 sodas). We ordered medium wings which took about 15 minutes, not a terribly long time. But then my wife got furious from this point on. We realized we hadn't even received our salads yet and it was close to 9pm. My wife told me that she wanted to speak to the manager about the timing and the slow service. She also noticed every table around us that was sat after us had already received their meals. I would add that our server did not have any of those tables. I went to the restroom and evidently the manager came over to speak to my wife and she told him about our experience. When I came back our little one started to cry and I knew it was time to call it a day. I took our baby out to the car and my wife didn't come out for another 15 minutes. She told she had to wait for the check and the food to be wrapped up. On top of that I expected maybe a discounted check or complimentary dessert, but nope nothing from the management of Outback. I can't say that we will never eat at Outback again but I think we will seriously consider sticking to getting our food to go. We had a wonderful dinner at the Annapolis Outback last night. There was a significant wait, but we had called ahead and were seated right at the time they gave us. During our short wait, a server came around with bites of menu items which was nice. Our server was fantastic. I wish I remembered her name! She was efficient, attentive, and very friendly despite the place being packed. We had an onion and the ahi tuna appetizer. My daughter liked the ahi so much we ended up ordering more! For entrees, we had prime rib, the 6 oz sirloin, and the salmon. We were all very happy with our food. It was served hot, delicious, and presented prettily. We had the cake pops for dessert. They were what you'd expect, sweet and good. I still miss the chocolate cake they used to have years ago, and haven't yet found a dessert there that compares (hence the 4 stars). We also ordered an onion to go for a family member at home and it came nicely packed up in a bag with extra sauce. It was ok... My sandwich (chicken and Swiss) was very well executed with a fantastic side of sweet potato fries drizzled with what I think was honey. Delish. My son had some chic tenders and broccoli (over cooked, but he likes them that way), and hubby was the one who was a bit disappointed He ordered a steak and it came with a side of BBQ shrimp and scallops and a fully loaded baked potato. He was only truely happy with the potato. The shrimp were definitely not BBQ, they looked boiled and seasoned, same with the scallops. I didn't even eat them.
