Our trip to this establishment was mediocre at best. We had 4 adults and 3 kids. We got seated pretty quickly but after that the service was not good. Our drinks came slowly, the food came out slowly. We were not checked on very often and when we were the waitress seemed very indifferent. The crab dip and Bbq were good but all the rest of our dishes were pretty average especially for the price. The place looks good. Another evening at Adam's--meeting a small group of friends for supper. Service was S-L-O-W tonight. One friend and I arrived right at 5:30 and we put in our drink order. We would have given our food order too, but she did not ask if we wanted anything or come back. The other friends came in, and by 5:45 the table was full. The manager helped with table & chair setup, which was nice. We had to flag down the server to take our food order. I told the server (Sophie) that I needed to leave early, so I was just ordering a bowl of chili. The chili (really an appetizer) took 30 minutes to come out. When they brought out the other full orders, it came out last. I waved out the server down again at 6:18, gave her my credit card, and asked for the bill, saying I had to leave early. She disappeared again with my card. So at 6:25, I gathered up and went to the register. She was up front and had been carrying my bill around. So I wrote it out standing at the front counter. Pretty good sit down place, most items are ok, the sides are kind of lame. I've been going here as long as I remember. In terms of highlights: -tuna sandwich(very meaty, have had it a few times, never gotten food poisoning from it) -Buffalo wings(great Buffalo sauce, crispy, good dressings) -Gator wings(they've got a little bit of a kick, and are smoked to perfection) -Buffalo chicken sandwich(certainly not as crispy or sumptuous as your favorite fast food chain's version, but it's solid) -chips and dips(hot homemade tortilla chips) -cheeseburger(haven't had it in a while, but my dad likes it) -ribs(nice crust on them, I don't have them very often because I'm not a huge baby back fan, but they're good for what they are) -onion rings(always crispy) My biggest gripe is with the sides. Aside from the onion rings, the others are very average. Their fries, dinner rolls, applesauce and chicken tenders are most likely Sysco that aren't cooked enough. And I don't get the point of including things on your menu if they're not better than what you could get at a fast food place or the freezer section of the grocery store. Another issue is their tuna wasabi cream dish. The tuna is tasty, but they cover it in overly sweet sauce, and the wasabi doesn't have any kick at all, which would be nice. Apparently they make their own salad dressings, but the chefs salad looks like something you'd see at Applebees in 1992. I feel like there's potential to update some of this, and maybe remove or fix some items that aren't as good as they could be. If there weren't better bbq places nearby, like Chad's or Mission BBQ, I'd give Adam's 4 stars, Most importantly, BRING BACK THE ONION LOAF!!!! read more

We ate in for the first time today. For the last two years we've been ordering takeout in deference to the pandemic and health issues she have relied on their consistently well prepared food. Today we decided to eat in and enjoyed the the daily special of strip steak with pepper, mushroom, cream sauce. The day's vegetable was asparagus and it was prepared perfectly. He had the rice and beans and coleslaw as the sides. We both ate the whole thing! Their key lime pie, a favorite of ours, was boxed and came home with us. The restaurant is a homey bar/Grill popular with the local crowd and it gets really noisy when people are packed in on the weekends. The noise is a problem for us because we're over 70 but we had decided LINNER was called for on Father's Day and arrived about 3:15. Went to a Playoff Football game last night decided to get some Bbq. Two places open in Annapolis to grab some Smoke House food from, decided to go to Adam's Grille wow. Well 9 minutes ride home looking forward to a good meal. Well when we got home and started pulling out the food, it reminded me why I have not eaten from Adam's since 2013. The baked Potatoes skins were warm nice taste, my son smashed the Pulled Pork sandwich and onion rings, Half of rack ribs my wife said was tender and flavored with care my Chicken and Ribs were good. I'm going to start with the Corn Bread great recipe I would recommend and return for the Corn Bread. Everything else all I'm going to say stop being lazy. Wow! BBQ is fabulous. We came in here by accident after arriving in a local marina and wanting a relaxed atmosphere with TV, beer and his food. Well this place knows their BBQ, so much so that we've been back twice since! I get takeout from Adam's all the time- I'd highly recommend the pulled pork. One thing that was extremely disappointing was the Mac and cheese. Fall off the bone meat!!!! Not only are the ribs good, but their apple sauce is phenomenal! Homemade and fresh. All of their veggies are fresh too. Although it's a BBQ place, they do have some healthy options for those of us that are on a diet. The website clearly says that rolls come with the rib dinner, but when you request dinner rolls with a takeout order, they tell you that the rolls cost extra. Nothing annoys me more than a "bait and switch" like that - when the website says something comes with a dinner and then they try to upcharge you. We have been to Adams in Eastport a few times for happy hour but went for dinner last week. The place was really busy for a Tuesday evening! The seating was immediate the staff is so friendly and pleasant. They have a huge bar and good supply of beer on tap. I got the baby back ribs and they were marvelous. My partner got the crab cake and filet and those were very good as well. What's notable about the place is the friendly service and staff. Dave's out by the mall generally has better quality food, but who wants to go out there? The food is usually good, but the menu unfortunately has changed little in 20 years.Yes, you can hop in, get a decent pulled pork barbecue sandwich and a coke and get out the door for a little more than 10 dollars with tip. But order ribs and your wallet will start to hurt. They're good, but not $20 a rack good. The wine list is egregiously overpriced and boring. You'll usually get good service for carry out or dine-in, but the place has not been renovated since the dark ages. The best way to describe the atmosphere would be "dank" and "musty." Not dirty, really, but in need of an update. Looking for a quick weeknight bite with the prospect of fairly decent food and decent service? Not a bad bet, but with the aforementioned caveats. I have lived in Eastport for 10 years and have gone to Adams Ribs with reduced frequency during this time. Heck I even remember living in DC and driving all the way to ANP just to come to one of the Adams Ribs. Used to order ribs to take home at least once or twice a month. But last two experiences were very unimpressive at best. Last month we ordered ribs to take home and my girlfriend and I agreed, never again. Not as good as we remembered them to be. Last night we were looking for a quick place to go and I suggested Adams Ribs. She said "I thought we weren't going to go there again?" and I answered "well you can just get soup and salad", so she agreed. I ordered the Bourbon Brisket Sandwich, which was overcooked, overly sweet, tasteless and dry. Cole slaw was excellent as always. the fries were "fries", but I was surprised that the server didn't ask me if "fries were ok as a side" because I would have chosen something else. Girfriend's Caesar salad was good as was the Maryland crab soup, but nothing that you couldn't get anywhere else. Sever came by to check on us a few minutes after our food arrived, and as I gathered my thoughts and began to tell her that I didn't like my sandwich, I looked up and she was gone!!! Obviously this was a routine question and she wasn't interested in my answer. then when I went to order another beer, to wash down my very dry sandwich, she was nowhere to be seen. It was fairly full with people watching football, but we had no problem getting seated and had a good view of the game we were most interested in. The hot apple cider was perfect for a chilly fall day. My friend and I were not super hungry, so we shared the half rack with a side of macaroni and cheese and baked beans. Solid choice all around. Plenty of food, that we were surprised we polished off. The ribs were tender and had good flavor independent of the BBQ sauce.
