This was my first time visiting this specific Outback but I had family in town and we were hungry! Originally, we missed the turn. We are a party of four. When we arrived the host was extremely stale, which prompted me to ask her what time do you close, and she said nine. It was 8:18 PM. My party was seated and we chatted while reviewing the menu. After a ten-minute wait- I went up to ask the hostess if we would receive service. This visit wasn't starting off exactly great. Lauren, our server came over and apologized for the wait and said that she had been in the ladies' room. Ok I get it we are all human. We then placed our food and drink orders. I must say that although the cook may have been mad that they were closing soon he/she did an AMAZING job with the food. Everything came out with perfection! The food was seasoned appropriately and the presentation was good. Lauren, was an amazing server as well and her customer service was not lacking. As we requested boxes for our food someone from the kitchen yelled out "get out"! We laughed it off because I'm not sure if we were meant to hear it or not. As we waited to pay at the table on the little machine we Lauren had to split our checks two ways, and the hostess turned the lights out. Lauren yelled that guests were still in the restaurant, and apologized. Again, we laughed it off. My advice : if you don't like your job, then don't come to work or find a new job that you enjoy. If the door is open for guests to dine in they should be treated as fairly as any other customer. To yell and turn lights off on guests that are dining in was simply rude and unprofessional. I know that it is hard to find good employees in food service and retail but this is most definitely my first and last time dining at this restaurant. read more

New Location, Same Old Menu (In a Good Way?) I don't eat beef, so I always get the chicken here. This is a brand-new branch of the chain, but the food is exactly as it has been since I initially went to Outback years ago--it isn't anything spectacular, but it is consistent and the prices are good. The atmosphere at this new spot seems to be leaning into a family-friendly gimmick; they have bright green drinks with rubber alligator toys on top, which isn't really my thing. As for the sides, the bread tastes very sweet, maybe overly so, and the loaded mashed potatoes taste like they are boxed. On the plus side, the service was friendly and efficient, and the new building was very clean. It's a solid three stars because the experience is fairly forgettable. So I was just here the other day and really gave it a great review because it was a great experience. So I decided to go back today, but this time I ordered takeout and I ordered it ahead for pick up at 3:30. I get there at 3:30 and I do as the instructions tell me which is to let them know. I've arrived and let them know what spot I'm sitting in Via the link that they texted. However, I'm waiting for like 10 minutes. Nothing, so I finally called them and they come right out, so I said why did I have to actually call instead of just letting you know via the text as instructed oh we're shorthanded is what the response was. I can appreciate that but service kind of went down for me. In addition when I got home the quality of how they packed things wasn't great. I ordered a sweet potato. I just got like butter with no sugar and cinnamon even though I asked for everything so clearly you're gonna have a different experience if you sit and dine in because you can immediately raise your hand when something's wrong versus takeout as it appears they don't do any quality checks. read more

Aniya was my waitress. She is very accommodating and sweet in her delivery style. She brought my main meal out to the table. It was hot and tasty. The ambiance was applicable for 4:30 in the afternoon. There may have been 15 people in there at this time of day so it was fairly quiet. They did have the music playing some good tunes. Very disappointed by our experience yesterday. Ordered two bloomin fried chicken meals ($50) from to go with mashed potatoes, and broccoli. We waited in to go for an HOUR. I've never waited more than 20 minutes for a to go order. To top it off, the food was not good. Chicken was mid at best, broccoli nearly raw and had brown on every stem, mashed potatoes were okay, just incredibly small serving. We were so excited that Outback came to Concord but our experience with this location has been subpar at best. We wanted to give them awhile to work out any kinks but we've been at least ten times and it's not gotten better. My husband's steak was medium rare but was supposed to be medium. They forgot the blue cheese on my salad, which they did bring out, but it seems every time I order the salad they forget a topping on it. The onion petals were lukewarm at best and seemed like they had been sitting for awhile. Service was great and usually is. I just wish they could get the food part down. read more

West bound and down, two for dinner at this spot just off I-85 in Concord. This is a smallish Outback, and while it seemed new or recently refreshed, the floors were generally littered with bits of paper and food. With the onset of tabletop kiosks, service predictably is less attentive. A waitlisting that included a birthday celebration happily yielded a brief wait on this quiet night, but while ice cream and singing echoed through the place, this dining rewards member was overlooked. The new Toowoomba shrimp topped filet was tasty, but the sauce overwhelmed the otherwise delicious beef. The sirloin with coconut shrimp had great tasting shrimp, but the sirloin had interesting taste that neither of us could quite identify. The wedge salad is always a hit, and they offered a cute and tasty specialty drink called a Pina Koala. Not a great Outback. read more

Started off really great for my birthday dinner. Appetizers were excellent, can't forget the blooming onion. Wedge salad was good. The USDA is pretty clear on what a porterhouse is.." a porterhouse requiring a minimum of 1.25 inches of tenderloin width, while a T-bone only needs 0.5 inches" I ordered a porterhouse steak and what came out was far from it. It was barely a tbone. When I brought up how small the filet was to the server she simply said: "sorry about that". I don't appreciate having my money stolen and being lied to. This could have been easily fixed. Maybe they have a cook that doesn't know what a porterhouse is, maybe they do know what it is and cut the filet for another order to cut costs. You can tell the filet was cut off before it was cooked by how grey the cut mark is. I ordered it medium rare. read more

Sat at bar for takeout. There are maybe 3 customers in restaurant. I had a beer and ordered a large takeout. 15 minutes later they bring it to me at the bar lol. On plates . I tell them it's to go. 20 minutes later they bring it in a bag cold. No reason. No apology. Not the waitress fault but dang this place sucks. I will not be back. Ambience was dim but very clean, it's much smaller than others I've been too so I wouldn't advise big groups to go to this particular one. Just built in this area. Awesome waiter (I wish I knew his name) dark guy with short dreads. I'd request him everytime we would eat out anywhere if I could!. He knew the whole menu by heart, made sure our drinks were always refilled, consistently checked on us even with other having his area full. Food was wonderful!. Food was good! Server not so good, every time he came to our table he had an excuse of delay. Took 20 minutes to get our drinks, had to ask for them as a reminder. Potato should have butter only came fully loaded, I ate and didn't complain. Told server before ordering aarp discount, when bill came reminded him and after 10 minutes he said managers were busy and he couldn't get them to approve it. This location just opened about a year ago in 2024. Since then my wife and I have visited several times.. Weve sat at the bar, weve sat at tables and weve ordered pickup. At all of our visits the staff always does a GREAT JOB! Food is fresh and delicious. Service is friendly fast and efficient. So far it has been perfect every occassion. In particular, the steaks have been perfectly cooked to temps ranging from Medium Rare to Medium respectfully, as ordered. 5 stars across the board! Just for due diligence, this review is ONLY for the Concord Parway N location. We have had mixed experiences at other Outback locations. But if you're in Concord or Kannapolis looking for a great affordable place to have dinner, look no further! read more

He immediately without any hesitation took care of my situation (and yes the food was awesome) and even gave me a very good suggestion to try light sear the next time. This is a new location and it's already bustling. The service by our waitress Michelle and helping staff was excellent as was the food. I had a medium rare prime rib and lobster tail and both were cooked perfectly and delicious. This experience surpassed any others we've gone to for prime rib including other Outbacks. I can't put Outback anywhere near the top of the food chain. Baked potatoes were over browned on outside and bone dry inside. appearance was like it was baked 3 days ago and kept on a warmer. (A quarter pound of butter helps a little) Sirloin steak cooked medium was just as dry. I'll pass on this and stick with the coconut shrimp appetizer as my meal. read more

PROS: Service was 5 star; food quality was 5 star; lighting was perfect (not bright, not dark). CONS: (reasons for less than 5 stars) Price? Almost $50 for one person, including tip? My daughter and I each had the 6 oz filet. I ordered mine medium rare and it came out raw inside. My daughter ordered hers medium and it was beyond well done. They put mine back on the grill and returned it medium well. I just kept it. They cooked a new one for my daughter which was almost extremely rare to the point of being unsafe to eat. As soon as the person who delivered the food saw my daughter cut into the steak, she apologized and took it back . Everyone was done eating by the time my daughter's steak came back out. My daughter asked if they could make a skinny margarita and the waiter said, "do you mean pour it in a skinny glass?" I ordered a glass of wine, and he said, "do you want the wine in a glass?" Then he came back to the table and kept asking if everything was tasting great even when neither of us had food in front of us. Also, no plates were brought out with the bread. And, we had to ask for silverware as there was none on the table. We were very cordial to the waitstaff and tipped 20% in spite of everything. I realize that things happen and it's not the end of the world, but I would have thought that they would have taken my daughter's steak off of the bill, but they didn't and that is the reason that we will never go back to this Outback location. read more

The blooming onion was delicious and perfect proportions for two. However the lunch portion steak was horrible. I ordered medium well and my husband ordered medium but somehow the center of both looked the same and mine was completely inedible while my husband's was. It makes no sense. Also, the mixed veggies are unseasoned and uncooked. We add to order ranch just to try eat them and even the ranch was disgusting.
