Steakhouse salad subbed steak for chicken with blue cheese vinaigrette dressing.
    Kathy L.

We were so excited that Outback came to Concord but our experience with this location has been subpar at best. We wanted to give them awhile to work out any kinks but we've been at least ten times and it's not gotten better. My husband's steak was medium rare but was supposed to be medium. They forgot the blue cheese on my salad, which they did bring out, but it seems every time I order the salad they forget a topping on it. The onion petals were lukewarm at best and seemed like they had been sitting for awhile. Service was great and usually is. I just wish they could get the food part down.

    Blooming burger. I highly recommend!

This is probably the best service I have ever had at Outback! Denzel was our servers name. He was so attentive. He made great suggestions and made us feel like we were his only table. The food was incredible. We had lunch this time so we got the chicken sandwich and the blooming burger. Both fantastic!

    A classic Pina Koala.

West bound and down, two for dinner at this spot just off I-85 in Concord. This is a smallish Outback, and while it seemed new or recently refreshed, the floors were generally littered with bits of paper and food. With the onset of tabletop kiosks, service predictably is less attentive. A waitlisting that included a birthday celebration happily yielded a brief wait on this quiet night, but while ice cream and singing echoed through the place, this dining rewards member was overlooked. The new Toowoomba shrimp topped filet was tasty, but the sauce overwhelmed the otherwise delicious beef. The sirloin with coconut shrimp had great tasting shrimp, but the sirloin had interesting taste that neither of us could quite identify. The wedge salad is always a hit, and they offered a cute and tasty specialty drink called a Pina Koala. Not a great Outback.

"Porterhouse" actually a bone in strip or t bone
    Michael A.

Started off really great for my birthday dinner. Appetizers were excellent, can't forget the blooming onion. Wedge salad was good. The USDA is pretty clear on what a porterhouse is.." a porterhouse requiring a minimum of 1.25 inches of tenderloin width, while a T-bone only needs 0.5 inches" I ordered a porterhouse steak and what came out was far from it. It was barely a tbone. When I brought up how small the filet was to the server she simply said: "sorry about that". I don't appreciate having my money stolen and being lied to. This could have been easily fixed. Maybe they have a cook that doesn't know what a porterhouse is, maybe they do know what it is and cut the filet for another order to cut costs. You can tell the filet was cut off before it was cooked by how grey the cut mark is. I ordered it medium rare.

Baked potato ordered with everything. Came only with small tub of butter. 6 oz steak ordered; weighed it at home -4.6 oz.

Ordered 6 oz steak with ribs. Thought the steak looked a little small so I weighed it on my digital scales. It was 4.7 oz....not 6. Backed potato was oredered with 'everything' on it. Only butter in the little plastic tub was included. Salad and ribs were fine. Worth $34? No.

Food was delicious. Entrees took over 30min to come out but it was worth the wait. We got there a little after 8, not realizing they closed at 9. We got our entrees around 8:47. Ambience was dim but very clean, it's much smaller than others I've been too so I wouldn't advise big groups to go to this particular one. Our waitress was a sweetheart, all the staff were really great. I wouldn't advise big definitely go back again. I got the 1/2 ribs with a house salad and loaded baked potato. It was all gone before I realized I didn't snap a pic, that's how delicious it was lol

Rare sirlon, loaded potato, and asparagus

Just built in this area. Awesome waiter (I wish I knew his name) dark guy with short dreads. I'd request him everytime we would eat out anywhere if I could!. He knew the whole menu by heart, made sure our drinks were always refilled, consistently checked on us even with other having his area full. Food was wonderful!. Everything came out on time and when we went to leave it was all boxed nicely. Was a nice peaceful dinner.

Second, blooming onion a couple minutes later. $11??? hm.

I got the special which was a coffee rubbed NY strip, served with asparagus and loaded mashed potato's. All around a great dish. My wife got the pecan chicken breast which is always excellent. The ribeye cap was the highlight, super tender, and the eye had a great sear and a lot of flavor. Overall a really solid steak, especially if you like a slightly sweeter profile. Got the cream corn risotto on the side. It was really good but very rich, definitely something you can only have a few bites of before it starts to feel heavy. My wife ordered the pecan crusted chicken. The portion was huge, but it stayed really juicy and had a nice crunch on the outside. Easy to split or take leftovers home. Cocktails were great too. The Negroni was well balanced and the blackberry smash was super easy to drink. They had a fried shrimp special (ninja shrimp or something?) and that ended up being one of the best parts of the meal. Crispy, sweet and sour, and a great starter. Solid spot if you're in Mooresville and want a steakhouse that's a little more interesting than the usual options.

I tried one bone and couldn't get the fork into the meat. It was over cooked and dry as leather. What is sad: The server noticed it was dry but served it anyway. Poor choice of restaurant to celebrate 50 years of marriage. Tip: If you are celebrating anything, try another steakhouse. There are plenty of others in Concord that will cook the food properly.

The background music was enjoyable, the staff was friendly, and most importantly, the food was very good. I ordered the hanger steak medium, and it came out closer to medium-rare. Her salmon was excellent, and the beet salad was also outstanding. Our server, Tavian, was warm and attentive. We arrived around 4:15 p.m. on a Sunday and ended up with a small dining room almost entirely to ourselves, which made for a relaxed and enjoyable experience. My only real suggestion is that the area around the dumpsters near the parking lot could use some attention. It looks a bit unkempt and has an unpleasant odor, which isn't the best first impression. Overall, this restaurant has a lot of potential. The chef clearly knows what he's doing, and with a few small facility improvements, I think this place could go from very good to truly excellent.

Friends had been raving about this place years ago but I never made it out.....until this week. Queen's Feast (ie Restaurant Week) was the perfect opportunity to give them a try. I made a reservation, just to be safe. But it wasn't really needed at the time/day we went. When we arrived, we were promptly seated. I loved the restaurant decor....it has an old elegant feel with all the wood paneling. There is a row of windows lining one side which brightens things up. There was a bar area almost hidden behind a wall that I happened to find when walking to the bathroom. Our waitress, while busy, was very pleasant and accommodating. I ordered off of the Restaurant Week menu. The Zucchini Fries were delicious! The batter was very flavorful and the portion size was generous. My main dish, the Sesame Tuna was really good as well, although the Brussel Sprouts were the true star of the show. The bread pudding was pretty good, although the sweetness of it overpowered any other flavor profile for me. Overall, it was a great experience and I would definitely return again.
