We had originally made a reservation for 7:00 but asked to change it to 7:30 on arrival. The staff was very accommodating and quickly seated us at our table. Unfortunately, the restaurant is very noisy with lots of screaming kids and parents who were letting their kids run around like it was a playground. I fully realize that this s is not the restaurants problem, just indicative of today's society. Very sad. I narrowed my selection to the Mahi Mahi or the Wahoo - only to be told that they had neither! It would have been nice if the waiter had informed me of this before I attempted to order. My wife started with a small Caesar salad and I started with a cup of corn and crab chowder. Both were good. I opted for the Mediterranean Cod with a side of scalloped potatoes and she ordered the Bang Bang shrimp. The shrimp were good, and the cod was good, except for the topping which had shrimp and scallops, and was way too heavy handed. I also didn't care for the scalloped potatoes, and the service was just fair. Located in Birkdale. As always, getting to Birkdale is a challenge. Although we were only 2 miles away, it took 24 minutes to slog through the traffic to reach the entrance. Fortunately on a recent Wednesday at 5:30pm there was plenty of parking available. 6 of of met to wish a friend well on his new retirement. We were seated immediately ( we were about 15 minutes late for our reservation). Chose indoor seating, but there were several nice tables outside in the shade. Downside is that you are on the sidewalk out front. Food was served promptly and correctly. It was just....OK. I had the shrimp and scallops and it was fairly bland. The alligator appetizer was ok bar food. The Tuna appetizer was also...ok. Nothing exciting going on here. The bonefish grill will not be on my regular rotation. read more

It was an amazing day to go out and enjoy the good weather. Met up with a friend and their family members for an early dinner before the dinner rush about 4:30. Right between the time where the staff changes their jackets. Service was great from Marry G, she was friendly and helpful with my little request. We had the Angler Catch special that takes place on Friday. So much good and so good and tasty. One thing I'll like to call out is the floor. Needed a break from cooking, so we decided to go to Bonefish Grill. It was a quiet Tuesday evening, so we were seated quickly and drink orders were taken. Started off with some warm bread and dipping oil. For entrees we tried the Lobster Ravioli, 7oz Filet, and the Parmesan crusted rainbow trout. Everything was delicious and I had to take home half the trout. It was a huge portion. Left myself with enough for a lunch the next day. Our server was very pleasant and came to our table often. Fish and chips were a greasy mess! Meal was served with tartar sauce spilled all over the fries. Brussels sprout salad had maybe 3 slices of Brussels sprouts on it and had hardly any salad dressing. I "flipped the coin" between the 2 chicken tacos or burger. Unfortunately, the burger lost. The lunch came with ice tea or soft drink, salad or soup- had a extremely nice Ceasar salad, and entree. Salad was good 2-1/2 , 2 tacos had some shredded lettuce, each had (I counted) six minute pieces of chopped tomato, a small smear of green stuff and 3 pieces of 1/4" by 1-1/2" chicken on soft tacos. NO sour cream or quac on the side and French fries. The fries were good bit it is hard to ruin fries. Wait staff was good, polite, personable and everyone got the correct food and there were several of us. Ice tea, water refilled before asking. They get 5s. Never ever order the disappointing tacos. Shortly after submitting my review, I was contacted by a manager, Nolan, at the Huntersville Bonefish Grill location. Not only did I receive a formal and heartfelt apology; but also, they offered to compensate us for a second "Seas and Sips" special event dinner the following week. Upon arrival, we were greeted by Nolan and the Head Chef, Taryn, with another apology, and treated like VIPs the entire evening. The meal and the drinks were AMAZING so I am glad that they were so quick at wanting to correct the earlier situation ensuring that we had a wonderful experience too! Let me start by saying no one goes out on Mothers Day expecting terrible service. We had a 5pm reservation and it still took 20mins to be seated. I later learned the restaurant had taken over 400 reservations today. There were two of us in my party. Our waiter Harrison was awful. Seemed to overwhelmed to working on Mothers day. After in hour waiting for food and watching a table of six (who arrived after us) get their food We said something. Harrison told us another 5mins. We asked to get it to go. I then grabbed the manager who kept stopping at the table next to us yammering on about how het daughter won't dress alike with her anymore. Sara/Tara could care less no apology no, let me take care of the one appetizer. She had no problem sneaking cookies to the table next us without them asking. This location always delivers great service and great food. We were seated immediately at 7:15 on a Saturday evening. Our waiter Garrett was attentive and friendly. We got lucky and found a parking space right out front. This is a popular shopping center so don't always expect convenient parking. The manager, whose name is Nolan I believe, greeted us and inquired about the service we were receiving. I always enjoy seeing the manager be attentive to the floor even when there's nothing wrong at the time. We witnessed him checking on several tables and being courteous to everyone. It was very refreshing. Our food was great of course. I do miss the former style crispy Brussel sprouts and the PEI mussels on the menu but they're still some old favorites. The Moscow mule tasted a little medicinal today but we kept it since we really didn't come to drink anyway. The restaurant was a little cool inside but we're experiencing a heat way so I have no complaints about great functioning AC. Just take a sweater if you're always cold. My wife and I ate at the Bonefish location in Birkdale, last night. It was "date night" so we saw a movie at the Birkdale theater (highly recommend Wicked Little Letters) and then walked to Bonefish for dinner. We started the meal with salads; a Caesar and a house salad. Both were crisp and the dressings good. We also had bread served before the meal. It was hot with a crusty exterior....delicious. I had the salmon with a mango salsa for my entree. My wife had the trout with a white wine sauce. Both dishes were excellent. We finished the meal with a dessert described as coconut cake. It had a warm, sweet sauce drizzled on top and it had lots of coconut! Did not leave a bite. The meal was wonderful so we lingered and had a cup of coffee. Throughout the evening, our server, Garret, was attentive and fun to talk to. We had both eaten at Bonefish locations in Dallas, Texas, years ago but this was our first time to eat at one in Charlotte. We will go back and highly recommend this restaurant! read more

While we have eaten inthere before, we made the mistake of going to the pairing dinner. What an absolute fiasco. The appetizer and main course were dry and overcooked. Drinks came out long before the food items that the drinks were supposed to be paired with. Unless you wanted to look at your drink for 10 minutes, you had to wait for the course to come out much later. They were obviously understaffed for the amount of people that they had. But that's no reason for the food to be overcooked. service was awful, management didn't seem to care, not impressed. As far as I'm concerned, it was $130 plus tip absolutely thrown away. Customer Service - 3 average. Pricing - 3 higher than Winston Salem was Overall this is a decent Bonefish, the food good, customer service good. I chose the pork chop as I have done for many years. It was ok, but the Bonefish in Winston Salem stood out far more with their attentive servers and service. And the flavors of the food really stood out more in the Winston Bonefish. This is my only visit to this site so perhaps this was just an off day. I would not let this one experience prevent trying the Huntersville location. read more

The house salad is amazing and crisp with a lite citrus dressing. But stars of the show for the evening were the Winter White Cosmo made with Reyka vodka. I feel in lust with Reyka vodka while learning to make a espresso martini at a virtual Yelp Event. The taste of white cranberries adds a tartness mixed with the sweetness of the Elderflower liqueur will changes lives. For dessert, we split the key lime mile high cake. My salmon and mashed potatoes were pretty delicious. They have GREAT bread and the oil and pesto sauce were top of the line. I thought they could have more options for the sides, but I also tried a white wine which was pretty great. Had to wait about 30 min to get seated but had a nice dinner.
