I haven't visited a famous toastery in years. I used to go to the one in the university area all the time! I had a friend in town and we decided to come up here to the Concord location. There was no wait, so we seated immediately. Our waitress name is Imani. She is just cute as a button and very pleasant. She was patient as we decided on what we wanted off of the menu. I was impressed that they have a full bar. My best friend and I ordered espresso martinis which were compliments of another customer sitting in the bar area. The food was OK but not great, above all the customer service is what wins me over. I would actually come back here again and maybe enjoy a small plate and another espresso Martini. The only reason I wouldn't sit at the bar is because I would want Imani to be my waitress again. The bartender was super cool as well. Overall, I recommend this place as a casual spot to grab some breakfast. It's not over the top and the food is average, but the customer service is wonderful. read more

Never again. Not worth the price. Usually I don't eat egg bread aka french toast outside the house. This wasn't even egg bread... it was toasted Texas toast w/a sliver of cream cheese (stuffed french toast). My husband ordered banana nut pancake - no flavor.. hardly any bananas & walnuts. Two stars only because service was pretty good. We ordered a blueberry stuffed French toast as well as the raspberry/walnut pancakes. In my head I imagined like blueberries, lots of blueberries stuffed (hence the word "stuffed on the menu" in some delicious French toast and lots of raspberries and chunks of walnuts poured over my pancakes. Instead the French toast had like a tbsp of blueberry sauce and like 1 blueberry. And the pancakes were pretty much blended up with 1 raspberry and called raspberry walnut pancakes. You couldn't even taste wither ingredient. For the 15.00 per plate this food was very sub par and nothing like you'd think it would be. I left wishing I just made pancakes at home tbh. Was expecting more. Very very disappointed wouldn't come back. The value is just not worth it. Save your time. read more

I've had a better experience at this Branchview Concord location than the Concord Mills location though both can sometimes be hit or miss with the service. The omelettes here are larger and better constructed than the Concord Mills location and the fillings (meat and veggies) are plentiful. I enjoy upgrading my bread side and getting a waffle instead of toast because I love a little something sweet to accompany my savory! I asked for the berry compote on the side of the waffle but it is delicious on top for that added sweetness! My husband got the breakfast burrito and loved it. read more

Very disappointed in this place! I saw the reviews and still decided to give it a chance. Don't waste your time or money coming here. I ordered STUFFED French toast which was not stuffed at all..... it was basically 2 slices of bread with a cheap amount of peanut butter & 4 small slices of banana inside. My friend ordered classic eggs benefits which just looked like sunny side up eggs with a bland Hollandaise sauce on 2 tiny pieces of English muffins. He said he would prefer to starve than eat here again.... My other friend ordered a waffle which she liked but it's impossible to mess up a waffle. The only thing that was enjoyable was the fresh squeezed orange juice but it was a small cup for $6, definitely overpriced. & to top my experience off, my set of utensils had food residue on it. We stopped here for a quick meal as they are among the restaurants that can handle GF. The service was excellent, with prompt, welcome, pleasant servers and staff. The food was good. They were out of some ingredients and the portions were a bit small, burger taste is what we got was fine. I ordered the "famous hash" breakfast and it was good. The hollandaise sauce could have had a bit more tang and the portions a bit larger. The flavor was good and the eggs were prepared properly. The Turkey Brie sandwich was also good, altitude have been better on sourdough, which the were our of. The cucumber salad was tasty while the portion size was laughably small. Place has gone downhill. Used to love coming here but the last 2 weeks I have gotten cold food, and the service was beyond slow. Went on Mother's Day since we love the Famous Toastery in Charlotte. It's understandable on wait time because of the occasion. We waited :40 minutes for a table, ordered and waited almost another hour for our food. They forgot about us. Brought our food and the Avocado Benedict was like a hard boiled egg and was stuck in the middle of the avocado. The Huevos Ranchero crispy tortilla strips were soggy. The waitress was rude. Asked for napkins and she threw it on the side of the table and walked off. Without explanation or apology, they left the bill on the side of the table and walked off. I guess that was their apology b/c they discounted us almost our whole meal. Service is awful and I'll never return nor will I recommend this to anyone. read more

Came to FT with my buddy who lives in the area . I was actually surprised by the lower ratings for the joint but as we know, nothing is perfect . Nice homely decor, with southern hospitality greets you upon arrival along with a large menu with many options . I ordered a mushroom / Swiss omelet with toast and grits ( my friend ordered similar with fruit ). Very very good flavor along with the toast which was perfect as well . This was my visit to this location of Famous Toastery. I have been to other locations of this same restaurant. This place has the same consistent quality as the other F.T.s. Like other Famous Toastery locations, you don't really have a dedicated server. All of the servers share the responsibilities of waiting on your table. Our order was promptly taken once we were seated. Everything came out in a timely manner. We were checked on often and never sat there waiting for anything. Our orders came out correctly. The menu has a good variety of food. I got Cali Benedict with a side of grits. The others in my party got a two egg plate and biscuits and gravy. The biscuits and gravy were delicious. The grits were perfectly seasoned and flavorful. The Cali Benedict was a good choice. We all were pleased with the food we received. The restaurant was clean. The restrooms were clean. The tables were spaced apart. We watched as other tables leave an employee carefully sanitized the tables and chairs before another party was seated. Service was great, but the food was lacking. I got pancake, eggs and smoked sausage. The pancake was just ok. The eggs, cooked how I like them except NO salt or pepper. The smoked sausage was greasy and tasted like cut up hotdogs. The atmosphere was sparse..definitely not crowded. I was pretty disappointed with the food, but our large group was treated well. Had a late breakfast on a Monday. Let me first start by saying the server we had was very nice and got our order taken quickly. When our food arrived, my dining partner unrolled the silverware and the fork was dirty. Like actual food on it. And my plate was dirty, I wiped it with a wet napkin just to be sure it wasn't just a stain. The stuff came right off. I ordered the fruit cup and the fruit was dry and the blueberries had white mold in them. I also had biscuits and gravy, but that gravy was way too salty, and I love salt.... Server never once came back to check on us during the entire meal to make sure everything was good. We won't be coming back. read more

I understand staffing is an issue across the service industry but service here was subpar. It took us nearly 15 minutes to flag down our waitress just to take our order and after taking our order she never returned. Came here with MIL and husband. Have eaten here many times, but not lately. We had good service, but restaurant was pretty empty. I ordered the Cali Benedict, which is eggs Benedict with avocado. When it came, there was no hollandaise sauce on it. The server apologized and said they were making it and she would bring it out. I ate my food slowly, waiting on the sauce. The fruit cup was great, with fresh strawberries and blueberries. Another server came by and promised to see where the sauce was.by this time, 10" -15 " later? My food was cold and my companions were almost finished eating. Then we saw the manager holding a side of sauce, walking up to us. She also apologized. I asked if I could get a to go box. She gave me one, and also a note for a free meal at my next visit. I left happy but hungry! Not sure what is going on there- probably need more help. The French toast was barely in any egg. It was mostly regular toast!! This was the worst part! The bacon was over cooked and full of grease like it has been soaking in grease! We have seen this place all over Charlotte and concord and decided to try it one morning for brunch. We did a to-go order and that could be why the rating is what it is. But I am open to trying it in seat. I ordered the biscuits and gravy with bacon and potatoes. The potatoes were cut larger and needed salt but overall with some spicy ketchup, they were good in my book. The biscuits and gravy were my favorite part. The biscuits were soft and buttery and the gravy had good flavor. My husband ordered the southwestern omelet. He said it was just ok. Overall I think because we did a to-go order we didn't get the full experience you get from being at the restaurant. I am open to trying it again for sure. read more

This time our server was nice and attentive, wait time was not as long as last time but they weren't very busy at the time. Prices are EXTEMELY HIGH on all items! This was an odd experience for my husband and I. From my understanding this location is new and it was also New Year's Day so I guess a lot of employees called out of work. There was a little bit of a wait before we were seated which was fine. When we were seated we were not attended to for a little while. We noticed that all the tables had no food so we decided to put in our food order with our drinks. I ordered the sunrise burrito which stated it was made with avocados. When I received it, it had no avocados but had peppers and onions in it which I wouldn't have ordered. My husband ordered a Buffalo chicken wrap which was plain compared to the pricing. He also ordered a second mimosa that we ended up having to order a second time through the manager since it was forgotten. read more

I would recommend this place overall as the omelete I had was really good and hearty. They didn't skimp on the ingredients! The breakfast potatoes were alittle hard though. The hostess and waitress were great. The hostess especially, she was about to seat us but noticed it was really cold next to the entrance and immediately offered us a new table. I do have to mention there wasn't any social distancing between tables but then again we all chose to eat inside a restaurant so... Another thing was that 3 glasses of orange juice was $13.50.
