Gluten free BLT wrap and lays plain potato chips
    Carrie F.

Great food and service! I love eating here because I'm celiac and never get sick from here. They have a wide variety of foods that can be made gluten free. My favorite lunch is the wraps and breakfast is the waffles. The staff is attentive and friendly. The food is delicious. Family friendly. Nicely decorated and layed out. Great ambiance. We always love the music they play!! Today I ordered the BLT gluten free wrap with Lays plain potato chips and unsweetened tea. Delicious!

I've had a better experience at this Branchview Concord location than the Concord Mills location though both can sometimes be hit or miss with the service. The omelettes here are larger and better constructed than the Concord Mills location and the fillings (meat and veggies) are plentiful. I enjoy upgrading my bread side and getting a waffle instead of toast because I love a little something sweet to accompany my savory! I asked for the berry compote on the side of the waffle but it is delicious on top for that added sweetness! My husband got the breakfast burrito and loved it.

Very disappointed in this place! I saw the reviews and still decided to give it a chance. Don't waste your time or money coming here. I ordered STUFFED French toast which was not stuffed at all..... it was basically 2 slices of bread with a cheap amount of peanut butter & 4 small slices of banana inside. My friend ordered classic eggs benefits which just looked like sunny side up eggs with a bland Hollandaise sauce on 2 tiny pieces of English muffins. He said he would prefer to starve than eat here again.... My other friend ordered a waffle which she liked but it's impossible to mess up a waffle. The only thing that was enjoyable was the fresh squeezed orange juice but it was a small cup for $6, definitely overpriced. & to top my experience off, my set of utensils had food residue on it. Lastly, the portion size was way too small, I've never gone somewhere to eat & left hungry until I came here.

Came to FT with my buddy who lives in the area . I was actually surprised by the lower ratings for the joint but as we know, nothing is perfect . Nice homely decor, with southern hospitality greets you upon arrival along with a large menu with many options . I ordered a mushroom / Swiss omelet with toast and grits ( my friend ordered similar with fruit ). Very very good flavor along with the toast which was perfect as well . I was happy with everything including the coffee and the service was cordial ! I will be back and highly recommend

    Cali Benedict. I recommend.

This was my visit to this location of Famous Toastery. I have been to other locations of this same restaurant. This place has the same consistent quality as the other F.T.s. Like other Famous Toastery locations, you don't really have a dedicated server. All of the servers share the responsibilities of waiting on your table. Our order was promptly taken once we were seated. Everything came out in a timely manner. We were checked on often and never sat there waiting for anything. Our orders came out correctly. The menu has a good variety of food. I got Cali Benedict with a side of grits. The others in my party got a two egg plate and biscuits and gravy. The biscuits and gravy were delicious. The grits were perfectly seasoned and flavorful. The Cali Benedict was a good choice. We all were pleased with the food we received. The restaurant was clean. The restrooms were clean. The tables were spaced apart. We watched as other tables leave an employee carefully sanitized the tables and chairs before another party was seated. They seem to be making an effort to follow COVID protocols.

The sauce on the biscuits and gravy was legit and I don't get this often living in New Mexico.

Seriously. Everything has pork. I got a handheld egg sandwich with tomato and cheese on a croissant with their potatoes. Basic sandwich, dry and the cheese & tomato were an extra charge. The potatoes were hard like they're old. The mimosa was good, regular sparkling with pineapple juice. And their tip machine doubles the recommended amount so for my $9 mimosa it generates a +$3 tip at 18 % but it should have been under $2. Just wanted to point that out too. I won't be back.

It wasn't long before my server was over with a bottle of water and a glass full of ice. The reason I came here was because there was a salad listed on the menu that just sounded very refreshing for the hot summer afternoon. I ordered the chop salad with grilled chicken and it was out to me, perfectly plated, in about 5 minutes. The salad was delicious and the chicken was flavorful and hot. The restaurant is small and bright with tons of natural lighting. The bathroom is small, unisex, kind of dark and dim, and a little dingy. My server wasn't the most friendly and she didn't come back to my table after she dropped off the food. I had to go up to the front to ask for a side of dressing. I'd still recommend the restaurant and go back hoping for a different server.

A must stop for both dinner and Southern breakfast enthusiasts…read more On my way home from Charlotte, I used Yelp to find me a classic diner to start my day off right. I choose the Crack of Dawn Diner in Concord. I am so glad I did. Crack of Dawn Diner is the real thing--a local Concord breakfast-and-lunch spot serving traditional Southern fare at reasonable prices. The menu caters to local tastes, the dining room is filled with regulars, and the atmosphere is comfortable rather than trendy. Parking is somewhat limited. The private lot surrounding the restaurant was fully used so I parked in the lot next door that had signs that said private property, but it looked like other patrons were parking there also so I took the chance. As it turns out, it was safe to park there. The entrance is very welcoming, as well as the staff. Amanda was my very efficient and nice waitress. There is great teamwork here, and Amanda was well supported by, I believe, the owner who ran my food out and talked a bit with me. The menu is fascinating. A distinctly North Carolina menu. Several things jumped out: * Breakfast special for $6.59 weekdays * Breakfast plates mostly under $12 * Grits included as a side option * Livermush available * City ham and country ham both offered * Pork chops available for breakfast I ordered the country-fried steak with white gravy (essentially chicken-fried steak), along with two sunny-side-up eggs, perfectly prepared grits, a large buttermilk biscuit, and a delicious diner coffee. The restaurant occupies a stand-alone building with a warm, "come on in and rest a spell" atmosphere. Inside, you'll find counter seating, an open kitchen, and tables throughout the dining room. I chose a seat by the window overlooking the parking area. This was a great breakfast, that was reasonably priced, in a great atmosphere, with very nice people. It stuck to both my mind and ribs all day long. After breakfast, I continued on to downtown Concord and spent some time exploring one of North Carolina's most charming revitalized downtown districts. The breakfast was the perfect start to the morning. Crack of Dawn Diner has earned a spot on my repeat list whenever my travels take me through the Charlotte-Concord area.

And the kicker, $18 for that... should have stayed home. I was really hopeful for this place but after trying it twice and it was just as bland, I unfortunately will not be back.
