I have always like Outback Steakhouse but this visit had the be the absolute worst. Upon entering we were told we can sit in the bar area and someone would be with us ; we sat ourselves down and after 15 minutes our waitress came to the table to get our drink order. The restaurant was empty with the exceptions of 3 other tables so the reason for the long wait is crazy! After ordering our food it took another 45 minutes to get our plate !! This is not acceptable especially if the restaurant is empty!!!! Definitely will not be visiting this location again! Wow, this Outback impressed my husband and I today. We were immediately greeted by friendly staff upon entrance and through out our dinner. Our server Davin was also very friendly, professional and fast. The food was hands down the best we've eaten at any outback location as well. We will be revisiting this location soon. One of the best outback's. The managers genuinely care how your experience is. If something is wrong, tell them! They'll take care of it. Luckily though, rarely anything bad occurs. Our server, Hersh, did a fantastic job & made our experience a great one! The food was also delicious! No complaints on our end!

We were met by an unfriendly greeter and escorted to a table by an unengaged person who neither talked to us nor even looked at us. All she said to the greeter was "where do you want me to put them?" Wow, those people sure make a good impression. Our server Hortense was very personable and a great asset and only positive part of our experience. Husband and I arrived from Houston and decided to stop for a meal. Place was not busy at all. Husband ordered a beer on tap and was told that they were out. He then ordered a sirloin steak with baked potato only to find out that they were out of that too. I ordered same but with asparagus. Asparagus was limp, and shriveled up. When I told server he explained that the asparagus has been coming out of the kitchen like that and that it's because it must be out of season. Never once did manager come over. My family and I dined at the Gonzales Outback location today, and boy, let me tell you, this place sucked. Our waiter, Mojo, appears to have lost his mojo. Not only was he walking around serving patrons with a toothpick in his mouth, he was entirely incapable. Mojo lacked familiarity with the menu, and when one of our orders came out, it was completely wrong. We had to request bread multiple times, and we were at severe risk if dehydration, seeing as how it was nearly impossible to get a refill. Lastly, after expressing to Mojo how displeased we were with his lack of service, it appears as though he refused to bring our card back, and asked another worker to bring it to us. Perhaps this was because we hurt Mojo's feelings. I hope we didn't make him cry. Not gonna lie, at first I was pretty reluctant to eat at Outback Steakhouse due to the plenty of bad reviews on Yelp. However, my experience was absolutely phenomenal! Our waitress Alexis was very kind, patient, knew the menu like the back of her hand, and even went out of her way to sign me up for the Dine Rewards program (Give this employee a raise--trust me she earned it!) But on to what I ordered and recommend: My cousin ordered the 6 oz. Victoria's Filet Mignon, it came with sweet potato and 3 oz. lobster. The baked potato soup was warm and fresh but I definitely recommend the Steakhouse Mac n Cheese, you WON'T regret it. With that being said, I will most certainly be returning to this 5 star service and 5 star quality food. So much positive energy and nothing but good vides. Check it out for yourself! read more

I should have known the meal was going to be bad when the outback standard bread came out stale., we sent it back. For an app we ordered the coconut shrimp which is one of my favorites, came out burnt. Entree; Bloomn Burger was gross. Ordered it medium came out well. Bun was stale. Ordered cheese fries that seemingly were left over and warmed up. I was thinking the problem was just the back of the house but when the manager came around to 'touch tables' that was comical. He came by our table said "is everything good? Ok great" without us able having a chance to respond. My husband and I just looked at each other and laughed. Went to Outback today for Mother's Day. My husband and I arrived around 1:25 and we had to wait about 30-45 mins before being seated. When we got to the back to our table which was close to the kitchen, the floor was dirty with food and stuff under our table. The floor was greasy my feet kept sliding. Ugh! Not only that the table was dirty. They forgot the utensils. The bread was brought out without any plates so I had to hold my bread in my hand the whole time. My husband's glass was dirty looking. We waited for a good while. Every now and then the waiter would pass and say it shouldn't be too much longer. Yet we still sat and waited. So we asked the waiter when will our food be ready and he said we are busy today so we need to just be patient. Really dude! We've been sitting here way too long as is and he had the nerve to tell us this. So I told my husband let's just pay for the drinks and the salad and let's go. Right when I say this our food comes out. The food was first brought to the wrong table and then to ours. So I tell the waiter that he was lucky because we were just about to leave. So I tasted my food because it looked good but was overly salty. I took two bites of it and couldn't eat it so I sent it back. My husband ordered medium rare and it was rare. Just bloody. So he sent it back to get it cooked some more. The manager who was very nice offered to replace my meal with something else. I didn't want anything else. At this point I'm frustrated and disappointed with the service and over all dirty floors and table. My husband wanted to leave a tip and I said no way. He was not a good waiter. But then I thought about it and said to myself, no don't do that. So I left the waiter 10 bucks because I know that's where his income comes from. We weren't charge for the food but that was not the point. We waited all this time to get crappy service and less than favorable food. I will not be going back to Outback no time in the near future. We ordered curbside to go and had an excellent experience. We called ahead about 20 minutes before we pulled up. When we got there we waited maybe three minutes before they brought out our dinner. I always check our order, they've been wrong before, and found it all there. The food was fantastic! Blooming onion, taz crawfish, and crusty bread to start. And with this Outback Steakhouse location, we had pretty much visited almost every chain restaurant along this I-10 Exit. The best thing about chain restaurants is that you pretty much know what you're getting no matter where you happen to walk in. That can be a comfort when you're far away from Home. This Outback did not disappoint and probably had the best service of the chains that we chose. Actually, a British colleague thought our waiter was a little intrusive, but maybe that was a cultural thing. The Outback on Acadian in BR was so bad I quit going years before I came here. The service and food at this location are very good, and the online ordering for delivery makes things super-easy. Special requests are accommodated, as is the order is usually 100% accurate. After ordering delivery at least a dozen times in the last few months, there was a minor omission from our order tonight. Went last night and my daughter got a ribeye med rare with a loaded baked potato husband got a prime rib med rare with a loaded baked potato. Both steaks were over cooked and the potatoes hardly had anything in them. 2 of the 3 salads had maybe 4 croutons, they were out if tomatoes and only had a few pieces of cheese sprinkled on top. Only good thing is the fried crawfish tails and the fried mushrooms were well seasoned except the mushrooms were at room temperature. They were really not that busy but it took forever to get our food. This is the 2nd time my husband has been there for a prime rib and was disappointed both time as for the first time they didn't have any left. I'm not a big fan of carbonated drinks (alcoholic and non-alcoholic). Others may like it though. Took my wife out here for our anniversary and I was not impressed by the least! The waitress, was constantly gone. She only came by 3 times in the hour I was there. My wife ordered the 6 Oz filet mignon w the lobster tail supposed to be medium rare came out medium w a baked potato on a entrée plate. OUTBACK IN GONZALES ON HWY. 30 Placed a pricey pick-up order with Outback for a family of 5. Child has gluten and dairy allergy. Outback has a gluten free menu and it's pretty self explanatory what contains dairy and what doesn't. Planned to check the order before leaving and noticed something was either missing or added, but it was a bunch of containers to sort through. Decided to bring the entire bag in to "let them figure it out." Someone (young male with blonde hair) was coming on-shift completely clueless as to what my complaint was and immediately stopped to help me and sort through the boxes. Another dark-haired male apologized for the mistake and explained to me why it happened-- computer error printing ticket slightly different from actual order. The young male with blonde hair took both boxes that were incorrect to the back and assured me the child's meal was not made with gluten/dairy and there was no cross contamination and went through the entire order with me to make sure everything was indeed correct. This experience was the customer service expectations I didn't expect, but appreciate tremendously. So, we decided to go to the bar and sit have a drink and wait for our table, the bartender was very generous and kept checking on our table so we would know how much longer it would be. We were seated at our table and our waiter was not far behind. We already had our drinks and decided what we wanted to order. I would say our waiter was very unattended and distracted. After waiting for 30 minutes and being seated in the restaurant was not very busy. We sat and waited with no bread and a different waiter brought us our salads. We sat for a while with our salads but had no silverware. My drink order was wrong, which honestly is no big deal. But, I asked the waiter if he wouldn't mind getting me a Dr Pepper, I didn't want to be rude and tell him that my drink was wrong. He proceeded to tell me that he had brought me a Dr Pepper already, so I told him it was a root beer, and that's the way the Dr Pepper tasted but that he would bring me another one anyway. He brought me the Dr Pepper and insisted that it would taste the same, I told him it was 100% better and he didn't look pleased. I have been to this outback many times and I always seem to have mixed feelings when I go. The food is always very good but the service is subpar. Our food came to the table, and I was instantly unimpressed. My steak was very small and an odd shape compared to the other times I have been to this restaurant. I did not want to say anything to the waiter because he already didn't seem pleased to have us as a table. My steak was cooked perfectly but had a lot of gristle, and it was very hard to eat. We started our evening at a local restaurant, only to have an awful service experience. We decided to leave and stop at Outback on the way home and the service was amazing! (we aren't typically chain restaurant people) We decided to sit at the bar and had Taylor as the bartender.
