My coworkers and I were so excited that Outback was now open for lunch...then we actually went. The server was nice, but he spoke so fast we couldn't understand him. He took our drink orders, but he totally forgot the only male sitting with us. He also pretty much ignored him a majority of the time. Our LUNCH order for 3 people took almost 45 minutes to arrive. (we only have an hour for lunch) The orders were wrong, the food was cold and overcooked, and there was no type of compensation given. Came on a Saturday around 8pm. Waited 30 minutes for a table. It seemed busy, but didn't look as busy. Perhaps they were short waiters. Our waitress had about 5 busy tables. When we got our food, mine was very salty (flat iron , med well steak). The brocolli was rubbery and my mashed potatoes were really dry. As we walk up to the front door the grounds , parking lot & landscape were a mess. Leaves and litter around the building ect.. Walked in to a friendly host who sat us in the bar area. We sat there in our booth for about 10 minutes before someone greeted us and took our order for drinks. When our drinks arrived I noticed my glass was filthy. So I asked the waiter for another drink . He then took our order . I ordered the burger with a side of broccoli. I asked him to have it cooked well done . When the food got to our table . The burger was undercooked! The broccoli was brown .. The waiter never came over to ask us how everything turned out . Never checked to see if we needed anything.. Terrible service and the food sucked !!! First things first, let me say our server, Carlos D was on point. Very attentive and accommodating. We had house salads and various appetizers (kookaburra wings, coconut shrimp, Aussie cheese fries) and drinks. I tried the Aussie Rum Punch and was pleased. Carlos checked on us several times to ensure we had the best dining experience. He was just as attentive with the other tables he served in our area. Had a bad experience at my neighborhood Outback so I decided to drive a little further to patronize this one. Glad I did! Food was great! Service was good. Went on May 14th @ 9:45pm. The dining room to the right was practically empty and the bar was loud and all the empty booths were dirty. The hostess offered us the bar but we just worked all day and wanted a quiet meal. When we let her know we'd prefer the dining room she told us it would be a 10-15 minute wait. I love steak so when living in a budget outback is the place to go... so we thought. Yesterday my girls and I had our usual ladies date. We were seated in a timely manner. Our server Alexis S. was not the friendliest. Though it was a Friday there was about 4 other tables in the entire restaurant other than ourselves. She greeted us with attitude and the service went downhill from there. Through the entire visit we seen our server about 3 times (Greeting, Meal, Check). Working in the service industry I know I should receive a check back during the visit. Our food was amazing as always but when we were ready for our check our server said and I quote "What! So I don't eat at Outback often, though I USED to. I'm not too sure that I'll resume frequent visits. They've undergone a smidge of a facelift in many or most of their locations and they look great. Got rid of a lot of the chintzy gimmicky stuff. I've found where they got the money to do it. Yeah, they've cheaped out on the actual steaks. I think I've had the benefit of not eating here with gaps of months and years in between and I've realized that the quality of food is not what it used to be. For the average dinner, it'll suffice. But if you're looking for a meal that you'll wake up at 3:38am and reminisce about, this is no longer the place. This isn't a scathing review and it's not a negative review. I'm just saying that I've had better steaks in cheaper places at this point......and Outback is a friggin steakhouse. *shrug* NOTE: I have not in the last couple of visits to this location experienced poor customer service or long waits. I came here last Monday on the 3rd for my daughter's graduation the service was amazing, thanks to Carlos and the food was excellent. Today however on Sunday the 9th the service again was amazing but the cooks felt like today was the first of April because we ask for our food to be a spicy and they put the whole bottle of Chyanne pepper in a small dry plate of pasta. I would have never thought that they would send something out like that but they did. Not to mention a manager saw it and didn't stop it from come to our table. Horrible! Foods. I spent 40 dollars on a ribeye steak, half rack of ribs, sweet potato, baked potato, and side salad. I asked for a medium rare with a little pink. The steak tasted like it was just about to turn bad and was drenched in some kind of super, salty seasoning, and was over cooked. The ribs tasted like they had been refried, yes, refried in yuck sauce, and boiled on sauce. Yuck! The bread was fine, but the whole meal was TERRIBLE. I WAS TO ANGRY TO EVEN CALL THEM. So I've read so many mixed reviews but still decided to go. Usually I would order a medium if I wanted a well (hint) and since I love steak, I realize what makes a good or great steak. Talk about bad service. We sometimes order from here given its the only one in the area. Service is hit or miss but mostly miss. This past weekend my wife order 10 wings and some cheese fries for curb side. Girl on the phone said 25 minutes which means 45 minutes. So we let 35 minutes go by and headed to the restaurant. Crowded Saturday they brought out samples to those waiting. When seated the table had a greasy film apparently from some butter or something from the party before us. Honestly it wasn't the easiest thing to cut through but the waitress did her best and I grabbed some paper towels myself. We had a horrendous experience here. It took 10 minutes for anyone to approach our table once we sat down. By then we were ready to order our food and drinks. Our drinks took another 10-15 minutes to come out with the warm bread. The soup came 10 minutes after that and the food took 15 minutes after we FINISHED the soup to come out. We then sat for 15 additional minutes waiting to see the server to get our check and finally had to ask a manager to send him our way. Great gluten free selection-even for desert! My family and I were greeted pleasantly and promptly. We were seated almost immediately. Our server was great, very nice and attentive. My waiter Craig seem disconnected and even rolled his eyes at me when I asked for my soup, my hot tea was cold, my Order wasn't complete and my friend who ordered the endless soup and salad was never offered anything after the first order. When I told the manager that there was a butter in my Italian dressing she looked at me as if that was normal and I was crazy. It was very unorganized. You can tell the people in the bar were regulars and satisfied but that's because they have liquor in their system..other than that outback in largo sucks and you couldn't pay me to return. I had to go in to get my food because it never came out. The manager she tried to offer me a voucher to redeem the next time I ordered I told her no that's not right. We came to only have a few drinks and an appetizer. The young man was ok. The clean up at the bar was slow. People that came in and had to sit in front of dirty dishes weren't recognized as new customers so they had a much longer wait to order. A young lady came in to bartend and butted in my conversation when I just happened to be talking about my drink I was waiting on from the young man. She hands me a dirti martini that tasted like a lemon drop with olives. I gave it back and we left and went to another restaurant and 5 other customers did as well. My wife and I went to this location to enjoy a nice dinner, and had the "quickest dining experience ever" (quoting my wife). While the customer service encounters with the staff was very pleasant, the service was way too rushed! We ordered one beer, two appetizers, two entrees including two porterhouse steaks which were described by our waiter as "marbled." The soups and salads came first, followed by the beer and tea. Not more than two minutes later the appetizers came with the bread. Keep in mind this a table for two, so now we had to put our beverage glasses on the bread plates for space because there was now NONE! The appetizers were way overpriced and the blooming onion was burnt as well, but we kept it all the same. The wings were not as advertised, as they were super small, and at $15.89 a plate for 10 wings, that was crazy, but still we kept them. Less then 5 minutes later here came the steaks, as with everything else brought by different staff members (never once by our waiter until the very end, keep reading) so they had no clue which steak was who's. The "marbled" steaks were both literally 1/2 fat and gristle, and the medium (I guess medium because again our waiter was not present to tell which one was which) steak was burnt on the outside. We would have complained but the waiter, who after asking him several times for extra sauce for the burnt blooming onion, finally came with to go containers which we had not even asked for yet instead???? We ordered a desert to go since we felt like our presence or business was not appreciated. We have always had excellent experiences overall with Outback in the past but this was by far the least favorable dining experience so far this year, and we will not recommend any member of the local community to expect anything more than this if they decide to spend over $135.00 on dinner with their family or friends. read more

Out of all the Outback we have been to this has to be by far the worst one. We happen to be in the area so we stopped by to have a quick lunch. QUICK is an understatement. When we walked in, the host greeted us at the door and asked how many where in the party. We responded and asked for a booth. He then asked us if we don't mind seating in the bar since he had booths and someone "ready to serve" in the area. We said that it will be fine since the place was empty. The server came and took our drink order and brought lots of bread (now I know why...that's to entertain you and fill you up in the mean in order to wait for eternity for your food). Then some people starting coming in and we didn't see her for awhile. She said she was coming back to take our order. Once she came back, we placed our order. We waited and waited, people that came in way after us received their food, left and new people came in and received their order and we still haven't received our meal. Well after 45min, we asked the manager what seem to be the hold up and he said he was going to check. He later came back and said the medallion where the hold up. Mind you, all we ordered for was a kids chicken tenders meal, an adult chicken tender meal and medallions, sweet potato and asparagus. We then asked him to please bring all the other entrees that we needed to feed our child food not bread. A little bit latter, all the food came out. The medallion were not hot considering if they were the last one done plus all my veggies were cold and seasoned and not steam as requested (kitchen failed to do as requested by the server). So you get an idea of how long of a wait this was, we came in at 12:50pm and left at 2:00pm. Do yourself a favor and find yourself another place to eat. read more

My sisters graduation and my birthday were the same day so our family took us to Outback after the graduation. We had so much fun! My server was Reesa and she was so funny. The manager Danielle stopped by because something was wrong with my moms steak, when she realized we were celebrating she gave my sister and I free desserts. And the birthday song they did was so much fun, almost our whole side of the restaurant sang happy birthday to me. Some of us arrived at 4pm on the dot, checked in. Didn't get seated at 5:30. Talking about they didn't have any room for a big party, then what was the point of calling. There were 2 other big parties 8, and about 12 that came after us and got seated before us. They got the 2 parties confused, told us to come back but then the other party i took our spot. So we waited for another table to get up. Finally got seated around 5:30 ish... no waiter in site. We had to ask for a waiter, someone came over gave us a comp appetizer that we asked for instead of offering it to us. Gave us the appetizer, still no waiter. Finally a waiter prob 30 mins later we just ordered our food, then he asked for drinks. Took us forever to get drinks. Every time the waiter would come over we asked for something and it took us at-least 20 mins to come back with napkins, ketchup, cocktail sauce. No refills- had to go to the bar to get refills b/c the waiter was so slow. This restaurant is just so slow!!!!!! Everybody was slow. Also don't get the lobster tail, it's just nasty and chewy (what some of my fam got). I knew outback was nasty so I just got wings. We didn't leave til about 8pm.
