Celebrated my friends Birthday here yesterday 3-14-24. The ambience was really chill, wasn't packed or decorated just a chill relaxing vibe. It was about 9-10 of us, they didn't have a server for the area that would hold all of us but they opened it up anyways. Jordan was our server!! we got seated & greeted immediately so customer service was good. Jordan was really good he started with drinks and appetizers. Also he was at the bar as well because they were obviously short on help but he managed well. I got that 3 Course special for 16.99 I got the 6oz sirloin 2 sides were house salad and thankfully I asked ! broccoli with garlic and butter, And cheesecake at the end. All else was chicken and shrimp pastas, wings, everyone got their own Bread with butter including the kids . The garlic butter Broccoli was soooo good!!! & it was steamed perfectly because it wasn't mushy. But PLEASE use 3-5 tea bags grandma got the sweet tea and we agreed it needed to be way darker she said it was like they put the tea bag in and took it out it was so light!!. I'm sad about the low ratings for this location. I don't come here often at all so my review is based on my one experience. Actually, before my last visit I had only been to this location once before back in 2010. Anyway.. I visited outback on a Sunday after church but it was before noon. I was pleasantly surprised that there was no wait and hardly any customers seated or waiting to be seated. I got lucky! My waiter was Josh and he was awesome. Very attentive, informative and we didn't have to ask for anything twice or almost at all. I tried the new chicken parmesan dish. AMAZING btw! It came with a side of mixed vegetables which were also so good! This is a great option if you are on the keto diet or you are a low-carb eater. There is also like a cheesy, bacon chicken dish that my sister ordered and we shared. The food was so good and fresh. I went here last Friday as it was a very nice day. they were very crowded and literally only had 3 servers. Sections were closed off because they were short staffed. I ordered a margarita fro and the server told us that they had no clean glasses. I really blame management as they are supposed to step in when short staffed to ensure the employees have ample help. everyonr was. complaining and it was no fault of the employees. I hope this gets better and the manager steps up her game. they lost quite a bit of money because someone was too lazy to wash some glasses. read more

One thing the Largo are is notorious for, and that is lackluster restaurants that feature poor service, subpar food, and so so ambiance. Well, the Outback Steakhouse in Largo is pure trash!! Back when I was in high school (2000-2004) this location was the spot to hit up on Sundays with the family. But now I wouldn't recommend it to my worst enemy. Not even trying to be funny. My wife and I went to the Largo location last year prior to us getting married with a premarital counseling class. So, we were a fairly large party and they were able to accommodate us with seats and multiple tables placed together. We were seated and our waitress got us all waters and took drink orders. But then, she disappeared for a while, then came back and took our orders. Then she disappeared again for a long time and people at the table and around us became frustrated with her poor service. One of our classmates mentioned to her that she took forever to come back and that's when the back and forth began and the young waitress walked off to go get the manager. The manager comes out and he had "I don't know what I'm doing" written all over his face lol. The guy seemed like he was a filler for someone who should have been the manager. He did resolve the issue and even offered a replacement for someone's meal which I believe had an over cooked steak. I can't remember what I ordered but I remember it wasn't great. The vegetables were the consistency of reheated frozen veggies and the rice was like they just reheated some leftovers. Whenever someone from my job orders outback for everyone of course they don't change the location because they wind up ordering from the Largo location. This location forgets items you ordered and paid for, the food always taste like leftovers, and the food is just tossed together. Last time my coworker ordered me something I got a chicken sandwich with lettuce, tomatoes, and pickles with French fries. When I finally got the meal I had no idea they didn't add any condiments to my sandwich like some restaurants do automatically; mayo, mustard..etc. So I ate a dry sandwich that wasn't good at all. Despite COVID-19, my coworker and I were able to sit down and eat here. I've never eaten here before so I really wanted to do some research on options that were popular here, We waited in our car for about 20 minutes since the restaurant had reached social distance capacity, so we were waiting for a table. We finally got a table and I ordered the kookaburra wings (not pictured) with bleu cheese. The wings were very good and freshly fried. I ordered the sirloin steak (medium well) with ribs, a loaded baked potato and mixed vegetables. My my my the food was good! The meat was falling off the bone of the ribs and the sauce was tangy. My baked potato was good too. I gave this place 4 stars because the restroom wasn't that well cleaned and maintained. I enjoy the food at Outback but was extremely disappointed with this specific location. We had to wait a while to be seated even when the restaurant was visibly empty. Then once seated we had to flag someone down to take our order, seamed no one noticed that we were sitting there. Once we ordered the drinks and food, one of the drinks was not the right one, it was sent back and then made properly. The steaks were over cooked even when requested medium, and fries were cold. The place gets a 3 star for the server that tried to turn over the experience trying to "cover up" the errors from the kitchen and bartender. Still, it's not an outback location that I would want to return to given the fact that the manager, who sat us, was not apologetic even when he was alerted of our wait times both for being seated and served. Seems like the few times we have been here there is always some sort of disconnect between the kitchen and servers. Food hasn't always come out the right way. We have returned because we enjoy the Outback dishes. But certainly this location is not making the cut for us. read more

What a bad idea. Came to outback steakhouse on a Friday night. We had a little bit of a wait maybe 20 minutes for a table, once we were seated it took 15 minutes for us to get a servicer we placed an order for drinks. The server came back, took our orders for food, and we were still waiting for a drink by the time the food came out guess what we were still waiting for our drinks. We ask for a manager, and within five minutes the drinks with both of the table by then everyone was upset and frustrated with the service we received or lack of service. Never again read more

Outback in Largo, Maryland is the worst Outback. The management and staff are less than stellar. We waited at a table 15 minutes before anyone greeted us. The server had walked past us 6 times before serving us. She brought out bread , no plates or a knife to cut the bread. I   specifically told the server I am allergic to shrimp , please substitute chicken for shrimp. She said ok. Once we received our meals shrimp was on my plate. The manager came out and never introduced herself or apologized.  Mistakes happen but it became apparent the trash service we received came from the trash leadership. When I finally received a new order it was on a cracked plate. Obviously aesthetitics mean nothing to this poorly run establishment. I'm so disappointed in my experience I had on Father's Day. We ordered a 14oz ribeye steak meal to go. Once we got home, we saw that the steak was not well done at all (as you can see from the photo). I called the restaurant to speak to the manager and she informed me that I had to come back the NEXT DAY to get a new steak!!!!!! I ordered my meal on Father's Day..... why would I come back the next day???? She did not want to help at all. She didn't even offer a refund. My hubby and I decided to dine out after Sunday service and we decided upon Outback. After walking up to the host stand, we waited while the young lady was on the phone. Once the call ended, she excused herself and said she would be back as she needed to use the restroom. Another young man came to the host stand and grabbed menus and seated us. Our waitress, her name escapes me at the present, brought two loaves of bread and asked for our drink order (two Aussie Palmers, one water with lemon, and one San Pellegrino), which was given. The drinks arrived, minus the San Pellegrino, after about five minutes. Reminded the waitress about the forgotten drink, then we placed our order. My hubby received his salad, but I did not. Reminded the waitress of the salad AND the San Pellegrino again. Finally, our food arrived and the San Pellegrino, minus my salad. My hubby's prime rib was over cooked, but my salmon was delicious and cooked well and the five pieces of asparagus were also delicious. My salad came about five minutes after receiving my entrée, but it was not satisfactory. Our waitress basically disappeared. We waited and waited in hopes of getting a refill. Another server eventually brought one, not the two drinks we requested. We finished our meal and just sat and waited. When our waitress finally came back, she asked if we wanted our receipt. Never asked if there were anything else we may have wanted, like dessert. She did apologize and said she had a party. However, the time we sat there and waited was unacceptable. We had to ask two other servers for assistance. Even after giving our card for payment, we waited, yet again, for quite some time. It has taken A LOT to get my hubby to dine out again due to Covid. We enjoy patronizing the establishments within our own community. However, the service today at Outback was deplorable. We left feeling robbed of our time and a misuse of our money. I've lived in PG County for over 10 years. I have avoided patronizing this location that entire time, until yesterday. Why did I stay away? Because I know what to expect from businesses in this area--poor customer service and dashed expectations. I finally decided to give it a try, due to the time constraints of traveling to Gambrills. When they brought my order to my car, my gut told me to open every container in that bag to make sure my order was complete. I didn't listen to my gut. By far one of my worst restaurant experiences EVER. I do not understand why people continue to frequent this establishment. I can only chalk it up to the "it is what it is" mentality. What is taking place in this restaurant is beyond reproach. Where do I begin? It took 49 minutes for me to receive a cheeseburger and fries. Forty-nine minutes! I arrived at 11:00 a.m. when the restaurant opened. I was one of six patrons in the entire restaurant, so one can imagine how long it takes to receive food when the place is packed. The bartender's shirt was dirty, her weave was down to her butt and her fingers nails are at least an inch long, which I'm pretty sure is a health code violation. She is one of many with said finger nails and hair length (see photo). I had to ask that someone be found so that I may order food. I imagine the bartender did not like her tip (an undeserving 15%). Having been a server and a bartender I can say with a degree of certainty that those who complain about tips are usually those who do not give proper service. Then, the system went down when I attempted to pay. The manager came to the bar with the same dismal "I hate my job" look on her face as the bartender. Then, others patrons came to the bar. The gentleman to my right ordered potato soup and a salad. He asked to have the soup plain (e.g. without scallions, etc.). Of course, the soup comes out with loads of toppings. He then requests that the soup be brought out plain. The bartender goes into the back and almost immediately comes out with a presumably new soup. However, there were soup scrapings on the side that clearly shows the toppings were just spooned out. The gentleman noticed it and looked at me with a "wow" look on his face. He then shook his head. Now for the good news. My burger was a properly cooked medium-rare. The hostess was pleasant. That's all. I neglected to mention that Wendy Williams was on the TV at the bar when I came in. It was abnormally loud and servers who had not yet begun their shifts were sitting at a booth in the bar area watching the television. Outback is a chain restaurant. I assume franchised because surely corporate would have done something by now. Admittedly, this is partially my fault because I saw that this restaurant had two stars on Yelp! I should have known better. If this restaurant were in Georgetown service and quality would have been better. That's a crying shame. read more

It's a Thursday afternoon. It's not busy for-real it was a short wait. But today was not the day. We waited an HOUR for our food. The drinks were well made so shout out to the bartender. And the grill master was fire because the steak as delicious. However my experience overall with the service was terrible. My waiter didn't know the soup of the day nor did he care to go back and ask. My sister is allergic to tomatoes and all her request for her burger were not accommodated. The waiter forgot half our orders and had to keep reasking what we wanted. When we asked for the manager the manager had no concern what so ever about the situation that happened. I ordered through DoorDash and the meal was really good! Food arrived warm and cooked to order. My only complaint was not receiving any plastic eating utensils since I'm staying at a hotel. But, I carry some of my own for situations like this. I also received a potato soup I did t order. read more

This is the second time I have visited this Outback. I'm a big fan of the chain and I travel for work so, I usually know what to expect but this restaurant needs to train the employees how to just be aware and be nice. I sat for over 20 minutes after being seated on both occasions before getting service. Tonight I had to go back to the hostess desk where 5 employees stood laughing and talking to get someone to come get a drink order. Service was decent after that, but both times servers are seen huddling rather than taking care of customers. The food was fine and the restaurant was decently clean. Service is the problem. Me and two other customers waited a while before anyone even asked if we needed help. After 7/8 minutes someone finally came and assisted us. The takeout area needs renovation and reorganization. I won't come back here again, I'll admit the food was good and the waiters were nice, but I requested a plain burger with just lettuce and onions, the waiter wrote it down but still got it wrong by adding everything and adding American cheese for an extra dollar which I did not order. I also got the blooming onion as a appetizer but it did not come the waiter said we did not order it, but he clearly wrote it down in the beginning. My children were so excited to have the bloomin' onion. But they couldn't because of the service. :( read more
