We were seated but we waited about 15 minutes before someone came over to take an order for drinks and appetizers. About 10 minutes later we got drinks and a total of another 20 we got our appetizers. We also did not get a bread basket until we asked about it later. The burger finally came over 35 minutes later. Gingerbread fizz: The drink was not what I expected and tasted like limes that were starting to turn bad. There was also a grey, hard fleck on my whipped cream. The only good part of the drink was the little koala The Bloomin shrimp: it tasted like it was covered in burnt crumbs and I couldn't finish it. It also did not come with Bloomin onion sauce as advertised on the menu The Bloomin onion: it also had a burnt flavor The burger: tasted basically like a Big Mac. Overall, the service was really slow and the food was disappointing.

We went to Outback today and it was the first time in a long time and we were very impressed! Food was great and our server very was very friendly. We all had a great time together.

It's been quite a while since my Grubbing Buddy and I have eaten at Outback Steakhouse in Newport News, Virginia. I believe, at least two or three years have passed since we last visited. We enjoyed the tasty steakhouse back then and, after returning, we were just as much pleased with our meals (if not more) than our last time here. Because we wanted to try the high-end and new pop up steakhouses in the area, sadly, we ignored our old favorite. Outback, we are back! My Grub Buddy had the center cut sirloin, and I had the prime rib medium rare. Lots of folks can't deal with the bright pink color, but the portion is not rare but is thoroughly cooked and oh so tasty! I also had a delightful and refreshing Tito's Cucumber Lemonade (served in a glass too small), and my sweet Buddy had a virgin Bloody Mary. Because of the wait to be seated, we ordered a flight of Margaritas to pass the time. In the future, we will no longer neglect our beloved steak eatery and will definitely return more frequently.

We enjoy eating at this establishment. Our food is delicious. It never comes under or over cooked. Steaks are succulent. All salads remain fresh and crisp especially the "wedge" salad. Service is quite attentive. Requests from patrons are quickly handled with a smile . Our favorite time to dine is an early dinner, say between 4-6:00.

They were also out of the snake river Wagyu ribeye and strip steak. We were told they didn't receive a shipment of meat. The food was really good regardless of that, luckily they had three orders of lamb chops left so some of us ordered the rest of that. I like that when you order a steak it already comes with two sides. Other steakhouses you would have to order sides à la carte. The cocktails were amazing and service was great. Only thing that was a little weird was we had two birthdays and asked the manager if they happened to do a complimentary birthday dessert or something for the two birthday guest. He responded politely with we don't do any birthday desserts but you can order champagne since it's a celebration. Mind you it's a party of 12 and each couple's bill was at least 250+. Nonetheless, we had a great time and money was well spent, definitely worth trying out!

The restaurant is beautifully designed, and the staff provided professional, attentive, and friendly service throughout our visit. Unfortunately, the food did not meet our expectations. While everything was presented well, the flavors were somewhat bland and lacked the level of taste and quality we anticipated for the price point. Given what we spent, we felt we could have received a more memorable dining experience elsewhere, such as Eddie V's, where both the atmosphere and flavor profile tend to align with the premium cost. Overall, the service and ambiance were highlights of the evening, but the food itself fell short of delivering the complete upscale dining experience we were expecting

I started with the buffalo chicken mozzarella sticks, but they weren't for me so I sent them back. I ended up getting the blackened chicken flatbread, which was actually really good and full of flavor. A few others in my group had mixed experiences too--my cousin ordered the crispy Brussels sprouts and didn't like them, and my daughter tried the crab cake appetizer. She said the flavor was great, but the texture was too mushy inside. My sister, on the other hand, enjoyed her shrimp appetizer and said the mac and cheese egg rolls were just okay. One thing we all agreed on--the drinks were AMAZING. Definitely strong and well-made, they did not disappoint at all. The overall vibe of the restaurant is nice, especially being in the Oyster Point area. It's a great spot to hang out on a Saturday night. Not sure if I'd rush back, but it was a decent experience.

We started with drinks and ordered a mimosa flight (around $36) with four different flavors--mango, passion fruit, and a couple lemon-based ones. My friend also got a lavender mimosa. Individual mimosas were about $12 each, which is a little pricey but pretty typical for brunch. For food, we tried several items. The shrimp and grits were good, but not the best I've had. The bell peppers were cut pretty large, which I didn't love, but overall it was good. We also ordered the Biscoff pancakes. The flavor was fine, but the texture was not it. They looked thin but were actually really dense and thick. We prefer lighter, fluffier pancakes, so these were a miss. Honestly, you kind of needed something like milk to get through them because they were that heavy. The Nana's Chicken plate was good, solid, no complaints. It was almost like a sampler platter which I enjoyed. The turkey sausage was also good. The deviled eggs, though, were very underwhelming. They honestly just tasted like plain eggs nothing special. The highlight of the meal was definitely the short rib bruschetta. It was delicious and easily the best thing we had. My only note would be that there were a lot of tomatoes I would've preferred a little less, but overall it was really, really good. Service was fine. Our waitress was nice, but nothing stood out, it was standard service. The atmosphere was also nice. We sat at a high-top table; the space looks a little small, but there's actually enough room to move around. It wasn't too loud or too quiet and the food presentation was nice as well. One thing to note is that the menu seems to change. My friends had been here about seven months ago and said the previous menu was amazing, everything they had before was delicious. This time around, though, it just wasn't giving the same experience. If this had been their first visit, they probably wouldn't have come back. Overall, I'd say Sate was just okay this time around. A decent brunch though. I'd probably wait until they update their menu and maybe give it another try, since it seems like they've done better in the past.

I rarely remember ordering a dish that I didn't like from here. Let's see how this visit went. It was fully packed when we arrived. The wait was 15-20 minutes which was manageable for the both of us. Once we got seated, it took almost 10 minutes to receive service. But once we had a server, things went a lot quicker. I forgot the guy's name, but thank you for saving the day. During the wait, we did look at the menu and made our choices. For apps, we picked fried pickles which came with both ranch and horseradish sauces. They really exceeded our expectations. The cost was $7.99, but they sure didn't skimp on the amount (same as before when we ordered previously). There was enough to take home. For my main entree, I chose the grilled BBQ chicken dish with Ceasar salad and loaded baked potato (minus sour cream). The dish itself was good and made me full near the end. This has been high on my "want to try" for a long time and finally saw an opportunity with an available reservation, went for it and am so happy I did. I dined solo, which I rarely do, but this was the perfect place for it. It was apparent that most people dining were regulars. The owner was chatting with just about everyone and diners were popping over to other tables to say hello, as well. Felt like a very small town. Service was perfect - not overbearing, but perfectly timed for a good flow throughout dinner. Their menu changes often, so some of the items I loved, may not be available - but it does seem like their fried oysters are a mainstay and holy moly, they were delicious. I had one cocktail - I believe it was called Watermelon Sugar. It had vodka, aperol and fresh watermelon. Refreshing and smooth. I tried two apps: the fried oysters and the bao buns. Both were fantastic. Perfectly prepared, so much flavor. I think that next time, I would stick to the appetizer section and try many rather than getting an entree. I got the scallops, which were delicious, but the apps wow-ed me more. Prices aren't low, but you get what you pay for - really high quality dishes with lots of thought and execution embedded. I don't say this lightly - this has been added to my top 10 list in all of Hampton Roads!
