Can't beat the quality for the price the Outback is always a good meal they are always consistent and the steak is always tender

I ordered a large takeout totaling 200.00 for Christmas Eve dinner. I hadn't realized they gave nine of the accompaniments for the baked potatoes. No chimichurri sauce for the chimi steak. No bread no rice for two of the steaks.... They also forgot the chili which was a side for one of the steaks.... Very dissatisfied. If you order takeout you must check it while in the parking lot..... no dressing for salads..... they need to do a better job with quality checking the orders. read more

The food was terrible; all the meats were served at the wrong temperature and had to be sent back to the kitchen. On a Saturday night, they didn't even have mashed potatoes. The dishes were poorly presented and unappealing. The service was good, and the manager was polite, but the cooks were terrible, and the price was high. I do not recommend it. read more

Good enough. My server, Sam, she was great. Attentive. Perfect. The food, average. I had the bone-in ribeye. I was really looking forward to it. It was thin, 3/4" at best. There's not much room for medium rare steak after a sear on both sides. The grilled shrimp that came with it - cool to the touch. Definitely not freshly grilled. Disappointing. The steamed broccoli was quite good. Anyway, if you need to be fed, come here. It's better than fast food... but not good enough to be a proper steak house. We had a server named Vinny who helped us out with coconut shrimp the last time we were here I felt so bad because we came in close to closing without realizing it and there was so much patience and politeness I definitely recommend for the sirloin too I asked for medium rare and it was beautifully cooked! read more

When I say the french onion soup was piping hot and almost perfect, I mean it. The blooming onion was nice but need more sauce. Our waitress was busy but only was waiting one two other tables so she wasn't asking if we needed anything other than filling our soda. My wife and I stopped by the outback yesterday she had the fillet mignon which was excellent cooked of perfection and I had the ribeye bone in cooked to perfection. We love going to Outback , today I ordered the 6oz steak with fried shrimp combo , as always it was delicious. My partners steak was not cooked to how she liked it (it was too pink for her liking) , we called over a manager who was super friendly, Donna I believe , and she made sure we got a fresh steak cooked perfectly. We were seating quickly and waited about 10 minutes for a waitress. She was nice and took our order after taking drink orders. The food took over 30 minutes to come out. Some of it was cold and some was super hot. The loaded potato had practically nothing on it. The upgrade Mac and cheese side is peppery and plasticy. The filet was tough and hard to cut (I did order medium well, so that's also a faux pas on my part) My husband's pasta was tasteless and he hasn't eaten more than 2 bites. My son's rib eye (medium) was fatty and hard to cut. It's not super busy and we've been here over an hour. We are still sitting here, at least 15 minutes after finishing our food and just got the check. Our check is $101 and the food is hardly edible. Update 15 minutes later and still waiting to pay. If you're going to be stingy with anything, don't be stingy with basic vegetables. Also, maybe don't hide the sauce? More on those later. When I think of Outback, I think of three things: Bloomin' Onion, Coconut Shrimp, and TV ads with Australian accents. Steaks don't cross my mind, but the reason for that isn't important right now. The Bloomin' Onion was great. It was hot, fresh, and tasty! It seemed to be a fair value as well. My only critique here is that I would have liked the actual onion pieces to be thicker, as the ratio of onion to breading was a little off for my taste. Where it comes to the Coconut Shrimp, this was pretty good as well. They seem to be cooked well, and the marmalade-like sauce was pleasant and offered a nice contrast. My only complaint here is that the pieces of shrimp are [relatively] rather small, and with that the price the value wasn't great. Oh, and before I get into the lambasting, a little about the drink. I ordered one of their Margaritas from the $7 drink menu, with an extra shot of Cointreau. I should have skipped the extra Cointreau, as it made the drink a little sweet and orange-y for my taste. However, it was still tasty, a good level of boozy, and at $7, a hard-to-find value. So far, we are in four-star territory. Maybe even five... But then I had the abomination called the Burger. When I tell you, that I have had more enjoyable burgers at McDonald's (ignoring even the price), I don't exaggerate. Good burgers are all about two things: good meat, and good balance. The meat is self was pretty good, but the execution of it was abysmal. As for balance, what balance? The patty was nicely seasoned, and it appeared to cooked as requested at medium rare. However, when you have a patty that is about as thick as you get at McDonald's, and with only a very slightly larger diameter, there was no juiciness to speak of. That, and the fact that there was no sauce or condiment on the burger of any kind give it a very dry feeling. The bread didn't help either. By itself, it was fine, however in proportion to the rest of the ingredients, there was way too much of it. The overwhelming majority of flavor and texture when eating a burger shouldn't be bread! Where it comes to the vegetables, other than some shredded lettuce and a slice or two of tomato, the pickle and onion was dang near insulting. They used these ingredients as sparingly as if they were bona fide truffle. There was one or two slices of pickle the size of a quarter, and less than a teaspoon of diced onion. When we asked for a little more, they were brought out in cups slightly larger than those used for condiments, and thus were in similarly insulting amounts. The fries that came with the burger were OK. No complaints there. Only that I was surprised how few of them there were. Oh! And if I may be allowed a quick reprise in terms of dryness: my dad ordered a steak (came with two sides). He asked for a baked potato and Caesar salad. The salad was served more than a couple minutes before the steak, which is less than ideal since it would have been the only fresh component. This is because the steak came with no sauce whatsoever! Sure, not everyone likes sauce with their steak, and, of course, it could have been requested. At the same time, it ended up being a small hunk of meat with no moist components!. Besides this is an Outback Steakhouse, not a Ruth Chris, sauce is not insulting anyone. Where it comes to the service, it was overall fine. I would have liked if it was a little bit more attentive, and a little better organized. There were a couple other small misses, but I'm not going to get too salty about that. Outback was never in my top restaurants. Still, I have to say I left disappointed. Unless I stick to the Bloomin' Onion and a margarita, I do not see myself returning. read more

My son and I went to this Outback last night for dinner. To be fair I haven't been to an Outback in about 8/9 years but we had a gift card. I have to say I was pleasantly surprised not only in the food but the customer service provided by our server, Sienna, and the manager, Autumn. Our steaks were undercooked but the team went above and beyond to wow us. Instead of just putting our steaks back on the grill, we were provided 2 new steaks with all new sides and Autumn handled the situation perfectly. To top it off, the food was awesome. My son LOVED the mac & cheese and my baked potato was better than I have had in a restaurant in a long time. We will definitely be back. read more

The two female bartenders were more interested in talking to an ex employee than doing their job with us paying customers. I was going to have a main meal ... but after my app plate sat there for over 15 minutes because they were so engaged with their conversation. ... I lost interest and my appetite. This was the WORST!!! I threw up twice they did comp the soup n salad....the croutons were like a dried out salt lick. Steak N mashed potatoes were OVER SALTED. The Mac n cheese had cayenne pepper!!! I went into the bar side and ordered chicken pieces... and shared them with the patron next to me, and he shared his steak. I left and when I got home had a very bad reaction almost immediately. It was food poisoning and found myself doubled over for most of the night, along with what you might know are the associated effects. It took almost 2 full days to ward off the effects. I went back almost a week later and talked to the new owner, a blondish woman. I tried to explain to her about what happened. Her reaction......" You must be allergic to chicken". Shame on me for returning after a poor experience over a year ago where the waitress double charged my mother and they basically said too bad and refused to refund when we called the out on it and spoke to a manager. I figured since this was take-out and I was paying online maybe it'd be a smoother process and to be fair there was no issue ordering online and picking up, although I found it hilarious that while it was ready at 1:37 and we picked up around then I also received a text after 2 to tell me my order was ready and waiting. Not a great system apparently. I ordered the Victoria filet mignon, medium rare with the side salad and Aussie fries covered in cheese. The complimentary bread was excellent and the salad was good, albeit mostly lettuce and that's about it for compliments. I don't know who cooked the steak but they did a real disservice to what appeared to be a nice cut of meat. It was totally charbroiled to black on both sides. Yuck. The charbroil taste totally seeped into the meat and it was all you could taste. Nothing was going to save that meat and it was a total waste of money. The Aussie fries with cheese amounted to a huge glob of microwaved cheese that was hardened and tasted awful. Luckily, I could pull it completely off the fries and they were salvageable, although not very tasty. I guess this is the last time this chain fools me. The beer on tap has always been fresh, cold and carbonated. Stopped at the outback for a quick bite yesterday and thought I would try something different for a change. I ordered the Alice springs chicken with mashed potatoes and of course a Diet Coke. My bartender Angie brought me piping hot bread quickly and refilled my diet Pepsi several times. The Alice springs chicken was grilled chicken with bacon and Monterey jack cheese and it was delicious. In fact it was above and beyond what I thought it would be. Everything was cooked well and hot. Instead of dessert I had a New drink called a boozy something. I liked it a lot but I did not think it was as good as their castaway drink. I'm sure I'll be back soon. read more

I know a lot of people thumb their nose up at Outback but I really love many of their menu items and they're pretty consistent. Their ribs are outstanding and the coconut shrimp are great. The salt baked potato is wonderful and the deserts are huge. This location has been very good and I get a lot of to-go from them which they always get right so I'm quite happy with them. The only disappointment I've had was a few visits where they ran out of ribs which I took away one star for. Otherwise I recommend this restaurant. read more

Since Covid, it's been hard to find service staff willing to work and accommodate. Tonight was a different experience for my family. My daughter's steak was a little bit on the rare side... and not only did the waiter go out of his way to make it right, so did the manager. We decided to have dinner at The Outback last night. It happened to be close by where we were shopping and we've had great experiences there in the past. The place was a little busy but we still got seated right away. Our server Brian was excellent! He came right over and asked us what we wanted to drink. A few minutes later he noticed from a distance that I was looking at my napkin as I saw a stain on it, he ran right over with a new napkin and utensils and said he noticed something might be wrong and wanted to give me a new set. While he was there he saw my soda water was running low and got me a refill, not something you see often these days. Our food order came out in a reasonable amount of time. The food was cooked like we asked. I got a hamburger which was delicious and good portion not to mention they only charge $12.99 unlike most places that charge $17-$23 and you get a small burger and a few fries. We enjoyed our food and decided to get a meal to go for our daughter who was at home. Brian put our order in and brought it out when it was ready. We asked if he could add one of their dark breads to the bag in which he responded he already did which again shows he's attention to detail and his know how with customers. It seems you don't see that level of service anymore! I would recommend eating at The Outback in Peabody and if you get Brian it's a bonus! read more

I'm really not a fan of franchise restaurants. It was what I expected, nothing amazing. My plate was just so boring. Looks like it was homemade. My sangria tasted the best. The blooming onion was really good but didn't like that after taste it leaves in your mouth after eating any onion dish. The steak I got was tough, I usually don't do sirloin and should of gotten a better cut like ribeye or something and maybe I would of been satisfied. The kids enjoyed their meals.
