In multiple sessions with Alexander I was able to heal effectively. When orthopedic surgeons, chiropractors, and physical therapists couldn't help, Alexander did. He worked with me to find the source of the pain. I left every session feeling great. After several weeks of sessions the pain reduced quite considerably or was eliminated in my back, legs, and arms. Alexander is really good. It was difficult to arrange payment through insurance as he takes payment through an app but I was able to work it out with the attorneys handling the accident. I want to remain going to Alexander as I train periodically but during that time I needed a lot of help after the accident, Alexander was deeply empathetic and effective at helping me deal with and eliminate pain.

My bar of expectation for therapeutic bodywork is high. Casey is at the very top in his field, and you will do yourself a great favor by entrusting your body to his restorative care. Casey's gift is finessing tissue, somehow producing profound results while also creating deep relaxation. I went to see Casey because I felt "due" for a fascial reset, having received the standard 10-series of Rolfing treatments about 10 years ago and another 9 years before that. I know this stuff works! Despite being older and less active generally this time around, I regained more range of motion and saw more dramatic improvements in my posture (including gaining a half-inch in height) from Casey's work than I had from the other therapists. Even better, the chronic twinges and stiffness still hanging around in my injured knee despite years of physical therapy and targeted strengthening finally disappeared. I now feel as if I have the fluid spine, hip, and shoulder movements and general body comfort of my much younger self. Although I completed the 10-series with Casey as I intended, I keep coming back for additional sessions of targeted work. I suppose this is because I know that I could search a very long time before finding another practitioner so exquisitely skilled in both the science and art of working with another's body. Over the course of several months, Lilah worked closely with me to improve my balance, alignment, posture, and range of motion, as well as helped with alleviating pain from repetitive strain and improving flexibility. Her approach with me was warm & supportive, and she provided me with great information and exercises so that I could get the most from my experience. As a beginning dancer, I especially love that Lilah has a background in Tango and belly dance, and her knowledge of anatomy and movement definitely made me feel like I was in good hands. Speaking of hands, Lilah's Rolfing style is firm but gentle, which is exactly what I was looking for. Not too wimpy, but not unnecessarily painful, either. I've run the gamut; nothing got rid of the pain, and I was, needless to say, very frustrated and feeling a bit hopeless that I would ever find a solution. Well, it turns out that I did, in fact, find one. Myofascial release! This was my first experience with myofascial release therapy, so I have no comparison to other therapists, but Spencer was THE ONLY person I have seen throughout the two years that took one look at me and knew what was imbalanced and misaligned. He knows his stuff, for sure. After only one treatment I knew that this was going to help more than anything I've tried thus far. I've had two sessions so far, and the improvement is marked, and I have full confidence that I will reach full healing with this mode of therapy. I cannot tell you how relieved I was when I found this. Try it just once if you think it might be a solution for you -- once is all it took me to know that it would be beneficial. P.S. For whatever reason, myofascial release can bring about emotional releases as well, which Spencer is great about encouraging. It was a bit awkward for me to get so emotional in front of a stranger, but he's good about giving space for that as well. MFR can be more of a mind-body therapy if you want it to be, and Spencer bridges that world nicely.
