Sorry to all you Outdoor Grill lovers- I was once one as well. The past 10 out of 12 orders I've placed for delivery have been wrong, burned or beyond the point of edible. I used to place a regular, weekly order from them- which I stopped doing appx 4-5 months ago- as I started to notice 1) the order was taken wrong; 2) the young lady taking my order couldn't get my credit card number right and rather than asking me to repeat my number, she always tells me my card has been rejected. Well- hello- that's because you can't get the number right. This happens almost every time I place a delivery order. 3) last night, I feel as if was my last straw, even though when I called the store to explain that my order, once again, was wrong. The girl who took my order claimed to be the store manager- kindly apologized and offered me a free meal the next time I planned on placing an order. This was a very kind gesture. Today, I opened the container that held part of the order I placed last night, which I was looking forward to for lunch today, to find that what I ordered was burned beyond the point of being edible. (see photo attached. let me know if you can even guess what this is) As much as I appreciate the "free meal" offer- I don't think I even want it- given the amount of times Outdoor Grill can't get an order right- I don't think I would want yet another disappointing meal. I'm all for supporting small, local businesses, having been a small (restaurant) business owner myself. It's important to maintain consistent customer service and quality (edible) food coming out of your kitchen. It's disappointing to see how their quality has progressively, increasingly declined. Sorry for the bad review- but you guys need to get your stuff together in order to maintain your regular customers. read more

Like the daily specials like perch dinner on Fridays. Gyros sandwich is huge. Recently added pork ribs on Thursdays are delicious and great price for the meal. Never leave hungry. Nice that there's a parking lot ioutside. read more

This place is right down the corner from us and is a great lunch spot if you are looking for something quick. You can order to go or eat indoors. They are always cleaning up after the customers and have masks on. We usually get the gyro this is filled with meat topped with onions and tomatoes. I got the chicken tenders with ranch it was lightly battered and just okay. I would probably pass on this next time and get the seasoned grilled chicken dinners they have this was flavorful and filling read more

This place is way too expensive for what you get. Something like $15 for a greek salad with 80% iceberg lettuce. Iceberg lettuce and Italian dressing are not things that should exist in a greek salad! Fries were crispy, but not seasoned properly. read more

I need to eat here again to go to 5 stars. I went after a rushing Record Store Day of not getting a single record I want. A gyro with fries and a drink ran ~$16. Nothing horrid prices but well worth the pay. The gyro was great, and the fries were most definitely fresh. As I was leaving, they said bye. It's little touches like that that'll definitely get me back through the door. All in all great experience. read more

Good neighborhood spot for simple, no-frills food. Went in for lunch on a Saturday and was greater by all three workers cheerfully. Ordered a gyro meal, with fries and a drink, for $9. Waited about 5-10 minutes and my order was ready. Meat was excellent...hot, lightly seasoned, and plentiful. The pita was hot and fresh and the fries were hot and well done. Been coming here since they first opened years ago. A lot has changed. The original owner ,who had a few other places was great & offered an excellent menu. He sold to the next owner who passed away, This owners family continued to run the place until selling the current 3rd owners back in 2023 . Was disappointed the last few visits, Food has not been the same or removed from Menu, A few weeks ago I ordered over the phone for pick up,, A Greek Salad w/Chicken. When I arrived the younger cook was eating French Fries right out of the fry basket with no gloves. The older cook was putting a few pounds of "raw" wet uncooked chicken that was in a container of marinade onto the grill,, After just a minute or so he took his also ungloved fingers and pushed down on the raw pieces that were not turned over yet. My Chicken was nearby and ready to take off grill. I asked him to please not use the same tongs he was tossing the raw chicken with ,on my chicken that was ready to be removed from grill ( to avoid cross contamination) With his raw chicken hands he went to get the Styrofoam container to assemble my salad.. I asked that he please wash his hands first before touching the lettuce and other fixings for the Salad! Be observant folks, & watch how our food is being prepared read more

The food is really good. My issue is the girl that takes the food order over the phone repeats your credit card numbers as your giving it to her. Which is a huge loss prevention issue. I would stop doing that asap. read more

Didn't think so. ----------------------------- I had already drafted this review as such in my head during my wonderful lunch and settled in with New Amsterdam's first new episode of the season...yay! The latter + my delicious gyro & fries was a match made in heaven. However, Kostas made the meal even more memorable when he came over to help me on with my coat afterwards, saying, "women deserve everything" and "it is a woman's world." As someone who thinks, sometimes all day, about the status of women, it was kind of a psychic, perfect thing to say to me. Ha! Earlier, after I could not find the gyro place next to my dentist's office - it might no longer be there - I yelped highest-rated gyros in Chicago and drove all the way to Nick's on North since it was also the closest one to the Apple Store Lincoln Park. However, when I pulled in, I was shocked that Nick's was just in a strip mall + didn't look good and THEN I saw a man just sitting there in the window smoking INSIDE nonchalantly and it was closed with a paper sign posted on the door that they had a gas line issue/repair. I would come here about once a month for a couple years now. During my last interaction, I ordered food with the same credit card I always use there. That day, their credit card machine had a processing error so the girl working behind the counter tried to resolve it. The owner of the place began micro-managing and being extremely rude. He was blaming me for trying to use my credit card and saying I broke his machine. He even slammed his hand on the counter. After waiting several minutes while they tried to resolve the problem, he pretty much told me sorry you can't get your food. This was after they had finished cooking it and I'm a returning customer. Today I checked my credit card statement and I was charged twice by this place! I'm going to contest and never come back here again. I feel bad for his employees. What I find great about this place is the above average menu selections. Not just your typical beef and burger joint, rather an emphasis on dinners. I recently discovered their dinner portion of the menu that comes with salad, fries or rice and pita bread or garlic. The serving size is more then generous so come hungry and bring a friend. I can easily tear into their gyros plate however try their Milanesa plate or Steak Fajitas. Everyday they have a cream of chicken rice soup with a lemon egg flavor. Its my favorite and will warm up the appetite. I suggest if you order a cheeseburger ask for the "Angelo Special". A toasted bun, grilled onions and cheese that will melt right into the burger itself! I'm getting hungry just writing this review. read more

Today was the first time I was eating there the food was great .good service not bad for the meal pop fires and Argiro with the sauce and free refills on the pop . I can't wait to try another thing on there meal next time my friends mom told me about this place because they live right around the corner which is not bad to go over in the summertime try different types of foods that they have there they speak Spanish and English and they also have an ice cream parlor right in the same establishment as the restaurant so that's even better thank you for your great service read more

Tried this for the first time because of the yelp reviews. The best thing about this place was the parking lot. It's private and has a lot of space. The good was ok, not bad but nothing special. I got the chicken soup and it wasn't great, I wouldn't recommend it. I also got the gyro meal. That was ok, not the best gyro but it was decent. If you like big proportions then this is the spot for you. I couldn't finish the gyro meal. It wasn't expensive either, I got everything for about $11 which isn't bad. I probably won't be coming back based of the quality of the food I ordered, but if you are looking for a decent gyro at a great price, it's worth a try. read more

I love this outdoor grill. The burgers and gyros and awesome. Everything is always fresh and hot. Delivery is quick! The owner and staff are no nice! Today in particular I must applaud them. I ordered a sandwich with the sauce on the side (i should just have said no sauce since I don't eat it) and it came lathered in sauce. I called to let them know and without a beat, they offered to send a new one. It was back in 10 minutes. They made a happy customer for life. I can't recommend this place enough. Great shakes too. You walk in and it feels like not even the workers want to be there. First time coming here, completely stumbled in by accident because Livewire didn't want me there for a half hour plus I was really hungry, after walking half a mile I found this gem. This place has a great variety of food and even has a breakfast option that can cater to most demographics of people. Food is phenomenal. Got myself a club sandwich. Everything was cooked to perfection. The restaurant isn't high scale or high priced which is what I love but I got that five star quality. Best thing here is the amount of food for the price. While they are offering tons of different menu items, several are cooked or heated up with a microwave even though there are plenty of grills and fryers.
