I ordered an order for about 25 people. I placed it with a day ahead so I wanted to make sure no surprises. Unfortunately, the chicken was very cold upon arrival. It must've been sitting for a while before delivered. Then, my biggest problem was that we found worms all over the salad. I called the same day and complained about it. The lady told me they would call me back the next day and never did. The guy called me 3 weeks later and was extremely rude and called me a liar. Terrible customer service. I wrote a review on Grub Hub for them to hopefully give insight. However I ordered a gyro sandwich with a side of soup and cheese stick. When the food arrived it was cold, also with the soup I assumed If I ordered a gyro and a soup side it was lentil soup. (of course I could've called and asked for sure but I did not ) however it was chicken broth with spurs of carrots and celery in it AND served cold. However, I left the review. It wasn't nasty. I just said that they could have included what type of soup it is and I got a very strange response. I feel like it was more so snarky not strange. Please find it below. I would not recommend them. I've always ordered from them practically every Friday for well over 5 years. In the last year, the food has been bland and their chicken is either under cooked or dry. The Greek Chicken is juicy and delicious; there are many options for sides which include healthy options such as mixed vegetables and a Greek salad (the Greek dressing is superb), and everything is very well seasoned. The OLDER female cashier who might be the owner has bad customer service. On multiple occasions I've had to correct my order because of wrong order input and NOT due to the cooks. This lady will miss or wrongly input an order and claim you're the reason instead of self accountability. Not only that, when she gets corrected she rolls her eyes and gets animated to the point it's as if she's shaming you. Not a good feeling. She also let some cop say some super racist comment about her cooks in the back and shrugged it off like nothing and smiled. I feel sorry for the younger cashier and cooks in the back having to deal with this. After reading other reviews on here and on google, it's clear this has been a trend with this lady and probably will not stop so I give this place one star which is not to be reflected off of the cooks. Cute Clean Place! Great service. I took 5 teenagers that couldn't decide on what they wanted. Cashier was so patient and polite . Food was ready quick, not to fast. Everything tasted great. Great Service!! I showed up to pick up a couple of meals for my siblings and I. I ordered myself the half chicken bbq meal and ordered gyro meals for 3 of my siblings. When we arrived home, I noticed that my meal looked hot and fresh, however we were disappointed to see that 3 of our fries were missing. I called the place to let them know and they immediately delivered our missing items. My chicken was juicy and was falling off the bone. Mr Gee's, your are awesome. Tucked away on Fullerton Ave in the neighborhood of Hermosa, lies a great chicken carryout restaurant. I usually order the "family meal" from here. It comes with chicken flavored to your liking (Greek, or Jamaican Jerk), yellow rice, potato wedges, salad and dressing, and garlic bread. All this for under $30 and each entree and side comes in one of those aluminum trays. Perfect to feed about a family of 5-7. I love their Greek style chicken here. It's very flavorful and moist. Their rice and potatoes are also good. And you can't go wrong with the salad or garlic bread. I also heard that the meatballs are amazing but have not yet tried it for myself. The restaurant is not that big, but does have a few tables and chairs available if you want to dine in. Chicago police often frequent here to dine also. Too much neon and a chicken wearing sunglasses is usually an excellent indicator of a place's barbecue. No, really. While that's usually the kiss of death at any other place that serves food or drinks, it works for BBQ. Who would have thought that Greek potatoes, Spanish rice, and St. Louis ribs would be an excellent combination? Mr. Gee, that's who. I stopped by here on a whim and was very impressed with their food. The ribs were very well cooked and seasoned. In fact, they were in the sweet spot of cooking, firm yet tender. They stayed on the bone, but weren't too much work to eat. They weren't swimming in cheap barbecue sauce, but you'll still need a few napkins. The potatoes were a little salty for some, but had loads of flavor that cut through the fattiness of the ribs. The rice was just plain good; mildly spicy, light, and fluffy. The cole slaw was probably from a bucket, but average for most barbecue places. The staff were friendly and the space was exceptionally clean. A full slab with enough sides to feed 2-3 people was $20. There are probably lots of places that are just as good as Mr. Gee's, but I haven't found any in Chicago that are better. read more

Mr. Gees was less than 10 mins away and had such a variety. I tried their chicken and regular gyro. I also had an Italian beef. You will be asked if you want it spicy or sweet and dipped or dry. I ordered mine spicy and dry. Not a fan of soggy bread but to each his own. Everything had great flavor. I can't say that the gyros tasted like the most authentic Greek gyros. All I know is that they were good. Prices are a plus. About $7 per sandwich. The people working there are very friendly and helpful for those of us that might not know what to order. I saw many regulars come in and chat with the employees. Dont be surprised if the employees spark up a conversation while you wait. The customer service here is terrible. I should've learned my lesson when I walked in one day and the workers were being treated poorly. I should've turned around and never walked back in or even ordered from there. However, unfortunately I did. Today, I placed an order and when I received the order, my order was incorrect, my food was cold and one of the items was burnt. When I called (from my granddaughters phone) the restaurant to express our dissatisfaction, the son of the owner didn't even bother to hear us out. Instead of attempting to fix the issue, or even listen to the issue, he answered ready to argue. He then called my granddaughters phone back after hanging up and proceeded to say don't ever order from here again, I'm blocking both of your numbers. Shortly after, my daughter called to be the mediator of the situation and he didn't even let her talk, he hung up on her. This is unacceptable. I cannot tell you how very happy I used Mr. Gee's for catering this past weekend!! It was the AFC/NFC Championships and we had 20 hungry men to feed. The owner could not have been nicer on the phone helping me plan a menu that gave me the best bang for my buck. He was soooo helpful! Needless to say the party was a great success! The sausage, chicken and beef were EXCELLENT and the Greek potatoes were a perfect match!! Everything was outstanding ... from the food, the price, the delivery to the packaging!
