Subject: Trailer Damage Report - Negligence While In Your Care Dear Outdoor Living RV Team, I am writing to express my profound dismay and frustration regarding the state in which my trailer was returned after being in your care. The damages inflicted on my trailer were completely preventable, and I am absolutely upset about this situation. I trusted you to take care of my trailer, but when I got it back, it was covered in mold and cost over $1,400 to fix. My insurance is charging a $500 deductible, which I feel you are responsible for paying. Timeline of Events: Tuesday, May 9, 2023 I dropped off my trailer at 8:00AM for it to be resealed and to get an inspection. I told Cory that the last time it rained, I noticed water on the floor of my RV but didn't know where the leak was coming from, and for him to please check all the sealed joints. He agreed and quoted me $300 for that job and $238 for the 28-Point-Inspection. He told me that morning that it might take up to 2 weeks before he could look at it, at which point I asked to take it back home and bring it back closer to when they would be able to look at it. His response no, that he preferred to have it on the lot in case he had time to look at it sooner. Wednesday, May 10, 2023 During that very day and night, we got a ton of rain and wind, so, knowing my trailer had leaks somewhere, I texted Cory to see if my trailer was covered and if not, if the water leaks were taken care of. I was unable to reach Cory by text, so after calling quite a few times, I finally got hold of Cory who said he would take care of it. I offered at the time to go check on my trailer myself, and to dry it up if need be, but again, Cory said no, he would take care of it. What Cory ended up doing was putting a tarp over my trailer WITHOUT LOOKING AT ALL to see if water had leaked into my trailer. It was there to have leaks fixed, of course water got in. But no, instead, it was left there to rot for two more weeks causing a ton of mold damage (see photos). Two Weeks Later... I eventually get a call from Cory about 2 weeks or so after that initial date. I was excited, I thought my camper was ready to get back on the road, all fixed up and ready to go. But no, I was told to come look at the damage that Cory's carelessness caused, and to call my insurance to have it fixed. The insurance asked me for an estimate, which I tried getting from Cory, but he completely stopped responding to me. I found someone else who was responsible and professional, got my estimate and was able to get my trailer fixed. These damages caused me a lot of trouble and money. It's hard to believe a company like yours could treat a customer's property this way and then not try to rectify the situation. I'm really disappointed with Outdoor Living RV, and I wrote them this letter asking for some compensation and still did not heard from them. So I do NOT RECOMMEND this place ever! read more

I'm updating my review based on follow up customer service. It was unfortunate David was out of pocket because I was left to deal with someone named Tom. All I needed was the NADA value of my RV printed out and he was argumentative and reluctantly helpful. It was only after calling for SEVERAL days with no answer to the business line that I finally drove an hour to stop by. He also talked to me like I was a small child which I never appreciate. (Especially after sitting in the car) It's always unfortunate when someone doesn't ensure the same level of service as others. read more

After attempting to do business with other dealerships we called Outdoor Living and spoke with Ben. Within one phone call a deal was done and we picked up our new travel trailer the same week. Upon pickup Ben gave us a complete walkthrough and was very informative. He even took a question over the phone a week later when we had a question. Bait and switch used car sales like. The service is terrible. After months still can't get problem corrected. I have big time buyers remorse. The storage area sucks. Not open on Sunday. We looked around for a trailer and decided to go back to Outdoor Living. David Bumpass was our sales rep and very helpful. The service has been great. The storage is convenient for us. The ground is dirt but the price is right. We have used other storage and they were all dirt. The paved storage we looked at were all too expensive. The guys from sales to service were very helpful. I was going to wait to do this, I did since we ordered our RV last March and took delivery June 2014. I was waiting to see if things improved with the dealership, sadly it has not. We are still waiting almost a year after taking delivery for items that where shorted by the factory. I am still working on getting a refund on items that we were charged for but never installed. I was very frustrated that during our transaction we were constantly asked to wait while the sales guy went to go help a walk in customer. We drove 5 hours to get here from Dallas and thought it was very disrespectful that we could not get the same dedication back. After driving five hours the last thing one wants to do is sit doing nothing just to be delayed to be caught in Austin Traffic on the way back home. These interruptions are why I am sure so many mistakes have been made. They are very short staffed. It seems no one follows thru on anything, hence why I am still waiting on items from the factory, Just received my warranty reimbursements from August. Regarding the over charges on the purchase transaction, it was I the customer that discovered it and brought it to their attention. With the short staff there, everyone is so over worked, no one has the time to follow thru or complete tasks. As far as the personalities, they were all very nice people. But nice doesn't always get the job done. Sadly I can not recommend this dealership to any of my friends including those in our RV camping groups, which consist of close to 500 members in the central Texas area. read more

Bumpy gave me a clear direction to take amid my consternation of whether my husband and I needed a destination trailer or a lightweight towable. He also showed me some of the most amazing towables I have ever seen in the form of the Sonic and Sonic Lite lines. Thanks to him, my RV future is clear! And what a relief that is. We just got our Denali TT out of the shop for repairs (busted pin in the Bedroom slide transfer case). We took it to Outdoor Living RV, and not only did they fix our slide (1/2 hr fix under warranty), they also did a $7 state inspection, plus inspected/resealed our roof for a total of $106 out of pocket costs....all done in under 2 weeks! We paid the additional warranty deduction of $100, and then we were on our way...happy campers again. Here's why we like them: 1) Labor rates are LOW, the best in this area ($99/hr), Camping World/NB charges $139/hr then keeps your rig for months, 2) Shop is easy to access (off N. Loop 1604, between Braun and Bandera Rd), and 3) They're very honest, friendly and knowledgeable folks. For example, Chris the service manager, found that our roof seals/seams were in good shape, so he didn't charge us the full price originally quoted. When's the last time your bill was LESS than your estimated cost? Also, we sent copies of our insurance and ext service policy via email so that cut down our wait times as well. During our repairs, Chris kept me informed via email every step of the way, and actually gave me inexpensive options on how to add a bike rack. For those of you in San Antonio area, please call or email Chris to see if they can service your rig the next time you need repairs. read more

Jason here and just recently purchased a 2018 Sporttrek 320VIK. Hands down best customer service from a service department. Cory the service manager is truly sincere and just doesn't talk about what he will do. Stuck to his word and went out of his way to assist me. Had 2 small issues and took time after hours to assist my family as we transitioned full time to our first RV. Sales is sales and their job is to get you to sign paperwork. Mr. Bumpass got us through that phase seamlessly in the middle of the San Antonio RV show which from a business perspective is very challenging. Once you sign though their job is done. When I recommend this place it will be because of Cory's service to my family and I. read more

When I bought my travel trailer last year, I got it at cost. I was very happy and I really like the trailer. I have had a few bad experiences though: When I picked up the trailer, they forgot to connect the breakaway cable. I noticed something was wrong within the first mile but since I was new to pulling a trailer, I went a little further. I finally stopped and called the dealer. They came out and connected the cable. They did not inspect the tire and I drove to my destination where I inspected the tire and it was badly damaged. I called and was told I should bring the trailer back to have the tire exchanged.What an answer, since we could have easily had a tire blowout and been killed that day. So I took it myself and took it to the dealer. They replaced it it. I had to put it on. The other issue was with storing my trailer at their location. One day I went there to put up a curtain and noticed my trailer was not in the spot where I had parked it. I asked and they told me they accidentally did some warranty work (exchange my cabinets) to my trailer instead of somebody else's. I asked to see my trailer and there were tools, my faucet had been removed and so forth. Why would they put in a new cabinet if there was nothing wrong with mine. I spoke with a salesman and they did not offer any compensation until I asked. 3 months of free rent is what they offered. I looked for a new location and will pull my trailer out in a few days. read more
