I'm writing about my experience selling my 2005 car to North Park. I had checked Kelley Blue Book to see the value of my car, and immediately four dealers contacted me to buy the car. Three of them invited me to make an appointment to bring it in. One of those, I was there for an entire hour -- I had to wait a half hour to see the person I made an appointment with, then once they saw me, it was another half hour before they finally gave me a quote. One of the four, North Park Lincoln, was a completely different experience. Phil Smith contacted me and said he would come to my home to look at my car, and he promptly did so. He was ready to take the car right then, but I was caught off guard by that and asked for one more day. But due to various factors, including holidays, I didn't manage to be able to sell the car until a week later. Throughout that week, Phil communicated with me via text and telephone in a way that was courteous as we made arrangements for the next time for him to come out to my home. Meanwhile, at his request I emailed him a copy of the title and my ID, so that when he did come back out, he had a check in hand. I signed the odometer statement, the title, gave him the key, got the check, and he drove away. It took five minutes. No one else offered to come to my home. Literally everything I purchased a car from them almost a year ago and within a month had a lot of issues they gave me every reason under the sun and why they couldn't do anything about it. Recently I moved back and I asked them to do a simple task as to check why my mirror cover won't pop back into place or if they could pop it back into place for me. Shelby Corpus has NO business being a manager. He is a cocky, arrogant young manager. My saleslady was off and she left a car for me to pick up and drive and take to my mechanic and to keep overnight. I noticed the screen said the battery was low on the key fob. I texted my saleslady and she said take it to the service dept and they will change out the battery for you. I went inside to the sales desk and asked the young lady if someone could escort me to the service desk. Shelby was there laughing and goofing off and introduced himself to me as one of the managers and asked what I needed. I said the screen on the car says the key fob is low. I am going to take it home, but I don't want the key battery to die, and I won't have a way of getting it back here. The saleslady said the service desk would replace it for me and he said no, we can't do that, she has to be here to do that for you. I said I have her text here saying that someone can help me with that and he said no, we can't change out the battery unless you are ready to purchase the car. I said OK I'm ready to purchase. He said Well only the saleslady can help you and she's not here. I got frustrated thinking then you shouldn't say something you can't deliver! I asked him, do you know if the car comes with 2 fobs? He said used cars only come with 1. I said that's not always true because I bought a used car 10 years ago and it came with 2 fobs. He said I'll get an assistant to help you. He went and got a young man who was so kind/generous to take me to the car to show me how to put the fob somewhere in the car, so the battery won't die out but the young man said he was not familiar with a 2020 only 2025/2026 models. He called my saleslady and she told him to take the fob to the service desk to change out the battery and got it changed out. I told the young man, Shelby does realize I can write a really bad review on google, NPL, FB, Yelp, and other platforms, right? He said yes, I don't know why he was that way with you. When I went to see my saleslady the next day, I told her about my experience and I was so dissatisfied. I told her if he keeps treating customers the way he treated me, you will lose customers. I felt so disrespected and degraded for this young man to treat me this way when I am old enough to be his mother. Such a disrespectful young man he is!! A couple of my friends have purchased vehicles from Lexus/NPL and was told they have "great" service. I beg to differ!! I told my friend what happened and she said, call and speak to Billy Vaughn. I called and they connected me to his secretary, Christina. She did not answer so I left a message that I would like a call back and I left my number. Under no circumstances buy a used vehicle here unless you are a mechanic. North Park Lincoln should change its name to North Park Lemons because thats what they sell and with it they'll sell you the warranty which you still have to come out of pocket. This is a con place for people like me who don't know about cars and when I called and tried to get help they told me I was on my own and the almost 5K would come out of my pocket. I also called Lincoln headquarters who called the dealership and guess what told me they would not help me with anything. I spoke with Annette and Sandra from Lincoln and a manager who gave me a bogus name from the dealership. Again if you are a mechanic and have the time to inspect the vehicle by all means but if you're a regular person like me don't go near this place. Bought a truck with 70k miles on it about a month later transmission started slipping so I took it to valvoline to get the transmission flushed, guy pulls dip stick out and my transmission oil was right below the L and dirty at that the lady I bought the car from Michelle assured me that "they can't sell the car without it being in tip top shape" assuring me that the mechanics looked at my truck and made sure it was up to spec. Personally I don't think a truck that has no transmission leaks would have low and dirty oil after just 2k miles so that tells you that these mechanics like to cut corners and the sales people don't know what they're talking about! Buyers beware the used car salesman's. Do not communicate with you after you purchase a vehicle and leave the lot. They will tell you your vehicle has had a inspection meaning all of your fluids. Everything that's on the vehicle is in tiptop shape. New topped off you will not have any issues leaving and they will give you a warranty saying that they will help you if you have any issues. Also, they will detail your vehicle and make sure it's completely cleanin my case my husband purchase a vehicle there and none of that was done even though it was told to him that it would be done. We have been waiting now almost a week to hear back from them and we've only had the vehicle for a week and we've driven it twice and they have not given us a call back or any answers so I'm warning everybody to please make sure before you leave the lot that you're vehicle is exactly how you want it to be before you leave because they will not be contacting you or communicating with you read more

1st Engine Failure Dec 2021 I paid for multiple tows, including 1 from South Padre to San Antonio over $800. A full teardown of engine, diagnostics, & the reassembly at a third-party shop to prove it wasn't driver error. ext warranty refused to pay for since it was a manufacture defect. Forced to pay $240 for a battery just to start to the diagnostics which felt very corrupt almost as if I was being bribed. Never mentioning I was eligible for a loaner vehicle. My mother had to ride the bus at 4 a.m. to work adding 4 more hrs to her work day & missed multiple important doctor visits. After the repair I came to look at it & I found, Bolts were missing--including from the undercarriage, battery mount, & power steering reservoir, splash guard, inner wheel well shield. Tools (10mm Snap-on socket & unidentified loose bolts) were left inside the engine bay. The coolant hose came loose, which your team tried to charge $4,000 to fix, despite it being clearly related to poor installation of the engine. The engine mounts--normally last 10-14 yrs before needing to be replaced--suddenly failed. Wiring harnesses weren't secured, not informed of new engine warranty coverage being only for 1 yr. 2nd Engine Failure (Dec 2024): Less than 22k miles later, the engine failed again--this time 4 months outside the so-called 1-yr warranty that I was never told about. Now, I'm expected to pay out of pocket for another engine, which would conveniently include a 3-yr warranty this time. Why wasn't the 1st replacement engine covered under the same terms? Purchased with: 45,000 miles 1st engine failed at: 53,594 miles, Coolant hose/engine mount issues: 61,000 miles, 2nd engine failed at: 84,193 miles. 2nd failure was likely caused by the poor installation: improperly torqued components & loose motor mounts cause excessive vibration which can damage engines overtime causing cracks in head gaskets causing coolant intrusion. My 78-year-old mother was and made to feel stupid by their employees and completely disregarded. All complaints as well as try to point the blame on her when she keeps everything she drives so slow and keeps all of her maintenance up to date with receipts and everything there's no way that this grandmother was driving this car so hard it blew a head gasket. It's just impossible. I can't even ride with her because she goes so slow irritating to me, but I love death and they're just taking advantage of a sweet hearted woman will not argue with anyone because she doesn't wanna make anybody else not me though.... I just found something weird somehow for some reason unknown to me the receipt that I received when I picked up the vehicle and receipt was emailed to me. Don't have the same exact dates but they are on the exact same invoice which is crazy weird so there's a week that's been removed from the original invoice to make it seem like they had the vehicle for less amount of time which is weird. I do know that she was having to ride the bus every day for four hours a day to get to work when they didn't offer us the loaner that I found out later we were supposed to be offered... Now they're telling us that we have to pay $4000 to get the car back and it's Kelley blue book is well under what it should be because of the engine defect. Everybody knows about it. Nobody wants to buy these cars, including lincoln and it has plummeted and depreciated in value from well below what it should've been so I owe $14,000 on this vehicle to the bank even though the trade-in value is only like 9000 and that's for private buyer and a working vehicle and they want $12,000 for the engine to be replaced at first so this is amazing how they can just get away with. read more
