Called up Charles to fix a drip irrigation leak, and he was even able to come out the same evening I called. Very professional, efficient, and reasonable. I had tried to do some digging myself, but just enough to keep my Man Card :) Charles also gave me some tips on landscaping, and answered my questions about various landscaping topics. AVOID AT ALL COST. Our HOA hired OSM to do our landscaping and irrigation. They have been awful. The management is very professional and well mannered. The actual landscapers are not. I have had unpleasant and threatening interactions with their tree trimmers. They do not pick up trash like they are paid to do. Instead they spray the trash with blue weed killer and leave it there. They do not rake the gravel. Only occassionally will they blow my entry way. Our grass is dead and our trees look rough. Management has gone back on their word. During an HOA meeting I requested that Craig provide a list, with pictures, of the trees OSM plans to plant in our community before the removal of trees that are in decline. He agreed that he could provide a list of trees for the community to look over so we could know what would be replacing our beautiful trees. He never provided a list and claims I didn't request one. They came into a hard situation so I understand things take time. However, it is unacceptable to pay $224 a month in HOA fees to have landscapers who do not to pick up trash. Our community manager has shared my concerns with OSM multiple times. They continue to ignore trash. The Sedona Public Library ( a non-profit, privately held (501-c-3) Library) just completed a large courtyard project with OSM. Their entire team was professional in all aspects of the project. They kept the site clean, orderly, and well organized through-out the project. This is an especially important point while working around an open facility, such as a Library. After the old college try, involving digging multiple holes in my backyard and too many trips to Home Depot, all yielding no results, I needed to hire someone to help me with my irrigation system. Not knowing where to turn, the Sprinkler World down the street from me recommended Charles from OSMAZ - Outdoor Systems Management. After an initial call, Charles showed up within two hours and fixed my problem within 30 minutes. Guess that's why you call a professional. Anyone needing any kind of landscaping work, these are the guys to call. While I only did irrigation, they do all kinds of landscaping. They're bonded, having been doing their thing for a long time throughout the valley, came highly recommended from Sprinkler World, and perhaps most importantly, are fair. I plan on redoing my yard in the fall with some new plants and lighting and I know who I'll be calling. read more

I had a very bad experience with OSM. I had them come out and put in a drip system for my front and back yard. Rob came out with his crew and rushed through the process of installation. They left the old drip system in place leaving me unable to tell which was the new system and which was the old. They did not bury the new drip line hoses and I had to trench out my own holes to bury the lines. There is a leak that still had not been attended to 9 months later. Rob was in charge of the installation and was very condesending when I asked questions about my new system and how it worked. He was hard to get a hold of and when he did come back to check the leak and said it was fine, meanwhile I am losing water and my water bill has increased due to the leak. OSM including the owner did not explain the new drip system and did not provide answers to my questions. I will have to have another company come out at this point and fix the problems and help me finish burying the lines. Please do your homework when researching companies. I do not recommend OSM. read more

I needed to pinpoint a water leak - either inside house plumbing, irrigation, or pool. I purchased some water meters and then needed to find someone to install them. I made a lot of calls. Charles was fabulous. He called back right away and showed up the next day with his crew. I had him do some other repairs on the landscape lighting system and irrigation lines. The customer service of this company is outstanding. I will definitely call him again. read more

My husband and I had a vague idea that we wanted to install a patio in the front of our house and called to Charles to get an idea of cost, etc. He was immediately able to help us plan out what we would need, what would work with our existing landscaping and what elements could add to the usefulness of the project. While we didn't really know how much it would be, we had anticipated at least twice what he quoted us and figured construction would take twice as long as well. Charles and the crew he used for the job were efficient, polite, considerate and thorough even past construction. We've recommended him at least twice already and intend to do so as often as possible. He is competent, professional, and honest. Worth every cent. read more

I awakened to a very bad leak in my backyard about a week ago. I called Outdoor Systems Management because I had used them a few months ago for a major leak under my front walkway and they did an awesome job. The owner, Charlie, scheduled a 7:00 a.m. service call and rang my door bell at 6:55. He quickly diagnosed the problem. I was surprised because the diagnosis seemed totally unrelated to the actual leak. It turns out that rather than removing the valves for the grass that had been where the pool now sits, the former owner/pool builder capped the valves. One of those valves cracked, began leaking, and caused the flood in the backyard. In addition to diagnosing the problem, Charlie gave me three options that ranged from relatively inexpensive to a slightly more expensive, but permanent solution. He also offered watering tips and showed me how to operate my timer (which seems to escape me all the time). The work was completed quickly and was reasonably priced. A short time after the service was completed, the office manager called to ensure that I was pleased with the work. Great customer service. I will definitely call OSM again. read more

I will not be using them again. Update: I spoke to mgmt about the problem and they offered to make it right by giving me some of the money back since they didn't complete part of the job. The first week I spent talking to them we come to an agreement. Nothing happened. When I called back 2 wks later, I found out the guy I was speaking to was not the right one! This 2nd time around I finally had the right people's ears and I got some of the money back. I'm grateful they worked with me. Hope they learn something from it. I did. I have had them out to complete a dripper system upgrade and check for leaks in the line. I was originally given a ball park figure of "less than $200". The official quote was $275 but I added a couple small tasks. He showed up 45mins late. I had to ask why 8am when I was told he would be there at 7 and all I got was "sorry, I'm running behind". This caused me to be late for work. He did 2/3 things he was supposed to do but forgot to check the line for leaks. All 3 times they were out was to try and figure out why I had wet spots that would not dry up, so I am confused why he didn't understand how this was a priority. I even explained that my neighbor could sue me for water spots on their side of the raised bed which was the whole reason I had the work done. I asked after he left if he saw any leaks and he just said "didn't see any but it is odd your yard looks wet all the time". I checked the line myself the following day and found a leak in about 30 seconds, which I repaired myself. I shouldn't have had to do that since I paid them to do that for me! The work took him half the quoted time and when I asked why I was charged full price he told me his hourly rate was higher than the original quote (other people were supposed to do it I guess?) & materials cost more. Buying materials and dropping off his crew at another site was part of what he charged me. I don't know how time buying materials counts as labor for the job and there is no way I should be charged for time spent on another project! I also asked for a quote on a major project I am preparing for. I said it wouldn't be done right away but within a few months. I never got the quote and I was told I "made the mistake of saying it wouldn't be done right away". He had to re-measure again, making it clear to me, new business and happy returning customers is not a priority. read more
