    Chicken and Waffle

Located in the same building as the gas station convenience store, this unassuming eatery offers delicious breakfast options. Order at the counter and food is delivered to your table when ready. The chicken and waffle was so good! Chicken was well-seasoned and the waffle was the perfect done-ness. The baked apples were also amazing - so much cinnamon which I loved! My husband really liked their biscuits. This was a great find for us during our stay in Corolla.

We stopped here for breakfast on our way home from the beach. While it is attached to a gas station you would never know! There is a nice patio and the inside is so cute and rustic! This is an order at the counter place but the staff was patient with our large group. The food was sooooooo good! The grits were the best grits I have ever had. I dont know what their secret ingredient is but they were so creamy and savory! Their chicken biscuit was delicious, the chicken was crisp on the outside and juicy on the inside. The potatoes were classic homefries, you cant really wrong with those! Its a great place for a quick country style breakfast

Scrambled eggs, home fries, bacon, baked apples and rye toast. Yum!

Food is really good solid breakfast meal. The grits were creamy. The baked apples were delicious. It is on the side of a gas station. Because of this, it's easy to overlook it.

So good we came back 2 nights in a row. First night had the chicken and waffles - nice that the syrup wasn't too sweet. Boys had tenders and a burger. Second night got tenders and sides - all of it was good. Now on our Corolla regular restaurants list. Simple and good - great for vacation.

This is a real nice spot if you're looking for some souther flavor. The staff is very friendly and the food is prepared well. I really enjoyed the meatloaf along with the mashed potatoes. Their biscuits are worth the hype as well. My only complaint would be there seems to be a lot of bugs inside of the restaurant. Flies, gnats, things you wouldn't want to deal with while eating your meal. Other than that I think this place has a great menu selection and their prices are very affordable.

I had been craving biscuits on this trip, so I was glad that we were able to make a stop here! I tried the biscuits and gravy, which also came with eggs, grits, and a side of spinach. The biscuits were fluffy, but I thought the gravy and grits were a bit too salty for me. You could definitely split this dish between two people since it's pretty heavy. If I came back, I would probably try one of their biscuit sandwiches instead. They do have a smaller menu with all their biscuit sandwich options, but you have to ask them at the counter for it.

    Southern Style Chicken!

Had a hankering for sausage gravy so I took to yelp and found this hidden gem. Another treasure that's tucked away behind a gas station so drive carefully when trying to locate. I ordered ahead of time and got the Southern Style Chicken with eggs over medium, home fries and a biscuit. The call taker said about twenty minutes for pick up. I hustled my way down there like a savage. Once I arrived my order was ready. She showed me my order and I thought I was in heaven. The chicken was smothered with a helping of delicious sausage gravy. I couldn't wait to sink my teeth into it. They have a large dining area with a breakfast bar if you choose to eat in. The chicken was perfectly fried. The seasoning used was out of this world. It's was the best fried chicken that I have ever had. The eggs cook to perfection along with the home fries. If you want a good meal...you NEED to come here!

I had NY strip with broccolini and potatoes while my wife had the shrimp and grits and our 3 year old had butter pasta with Parmesan - all three were a hit. For dessert I had the sticky toffee cake with ice cream and the ladies shared the chocolate cake. Power Wheelchair Elevator access to the restaurant. Tables are high enough to get legs under. The restaurant is smaller and the tables are pretty close together. The atmosphere of the restaurant is nice but I just remember it being a bit loud from all the different conversations going on. This time around we skipped appetizers and went straight for our meal. I ordered the BPK chopped salad and the butternut squash bisque. I honestly enjoyed both of these. The butternut squash bisque had lobster chunks in it and the bisque was super creamy and delicious. I also enjoyed the chopped salad which was refreshing and their raspberry vinaigrette was tasty. My cousin got the jerk chicken and he said the jerk chicken was okay but he is use to jerk chicken having a hint of more spice. As for the service our server was nice and everyone was sweet.

I really enjoyed each of the dish and all the beers that are on a tap is the highlight of the restaurant. There are two long tables in the middle for larger groups. The seats are surrounded by TVs and a great spot for the family. The second shift breakfast burger is delicious! The Pork belly BLT is also more refined and will please finer palates. The crispy apple jack chicken has all the ingredients for a delicious sandwich. But I would replace the 3 chicken tenders for a large chunk of chicken breast. That would make the sandwich perfect. I don't necessarily blame the restaurant for that since people are constantly coming and going through both the front door and patio, but it did affect the experience. We didn't try the beer wall this time. We came primarily for the food, and I'm glad we did. We both ordered the Angry Chicken sandwich, and it was fantastic. It had great flavor, a good level of spice, and was absolutely massive. For $19, though, it better be big! Honestly, I almost wish they offered a smaller version with just one chicken patty at a lower price. The sandwich has so many great elements, but it's almost too much food. I'd happily order a smaller version. Our server was friendly, but he was clearly spread pretty thin. It took a while to get drink refills and our check. Overall, there were a few things that could have been better, but I'd definitely come back for that chicken sandwich.
