Recently went to the outer banks for a bachelorette trip. We love crab legs and were looking for a good place to go and had a few in mind. One of the locals recommended here and there we went. This is an order-at-the-counter place and it is small, but boy oh boy was it delicious! It was super cute and the staff was so nice and quick to give us whatever we needed like bibs, butter, and more. And the crab legs were affordable and sooooooo good! Everything was good, the calamari with melted parmesan was so flavorful and I am still dreaming about it! I highly recommend if you are in the area to visit them, and make sure to have extra time to look around the shops too!

Perfect for takeout or dine in. Great variety of seafood baskets to choose from. Loved the Oyster Basket, stuffed oysters with so much flavor in an excellent batter. Hush puppies were all that I could ask for. Had some crab as well and it was so tasty. Don't even need the butter at this point.

Highly recommend!!! We came for a late lunch on Friday and there was no wait. We sat outside w our two dogs and enjoyed the lovely weather. You order at the counter and get your drinks there. For drinks menu they do have wines and beers (canned and draft). There is a server that brings you your food. Service was fast and attentive. Our server came to check on us several times and made sure to bring our pups a bowl of water. - Scallop basket: DELICIOUS! Comes with 8 soft and buttery scallops. I subbed the side out for the sweet potato fries and it was a fantastic decision.

Definitely have to be paying attention to find this place! Check the hours too- hours vary based on what app you are looking at. Excellent food! Had plenty of options to choose from. We ordered to then have a seat in the outside area. Lovely place to sit when weather is good! Food came out 10ish minutes after placing the order! Soo good! Zero complaints from us!

We came to Mama Easley's for my 44th birthday while vacationing in Corolla. Mama Easley's is casual with orders taken at a counter as opposed to a server coming to your table. The food is brought out by servers. Drinks are self serve from a fountain drink machine. We had a group of 11. We were seated within an hour on a busy Thursday night in July. We started out with Calamari and Fried Green Tomatoes. For orders we got Shrimp, scallops, crab legs, crab cakes, and fish sandwiches. Everything was very well prepared. My only thing was that we were looking for something a little fancier for my birthday and this restaurant is really casual.

Visited with our group of 9 on vacation. This place was not fancy, and good for families. I believe we were on the water, but there are no water views. Everyone orders at the counter so a little less convenient. Staff were very friendly. Food came out really fast. Food was good and plentiful. We had a little bit of everything, but the apps were probably the best part of the meal. We had the calamari and the fried green tomatoes. They use paper plates and styrofoam cups so no dishes. I felt a bit indifferent about the tip being that it wasn't full service so I didn't leave my typical 20-25%, but I still left 15%. Tab came to $360 after tax and tip for the 9 of us.

    Fried green tomatoes delish!!

I really enjoyed each of the dish and all the beers that are on a tap is the highlight of the restaurant. There are two long tables in the middle for larger groups. The seats are surrounded by TVs and a great spot for the family. The second shift breakfast burger is delicious! The Pork belly BLT is also more refined and will please finer palates. The crispy apple jack chicken has all the ingredients for a delicious sandwich. But I would replace the 3 chicken tenders for a large chunk of chicken breast. That would make the sandwich perfect. If you're looking for a great restaurant for the family during your vacation... take a ride and check it out!

I don't necessarily blame the restaurant for that since people are constantly coming and going through both the front door and patio, but it did affect the experience. We didn't try the beer wall this time. We came primarily for the food, and I'm glad we did. We both ordered the Angry Chicken sandwich, and it was fantastic. It had great flavor, a good level of spice, and was absolutely massive. For $19, though, it better be big! Honestly, I almost wish they offered a smaller version with just one chicken patty at a lower price. The sandwich has so many great elements, but it's almost too much food. I'd happily order a smaller version. Our server was friendly, but he was clearly spread pretty thin. It took a while to get drink refills and our check. Overall, there were a few things that could have been better, but I'd definitely come back for that chicken sandwich.

The butternut squash bisque had lobster chunks in it and the bisque was super creamy and delicious. I also enjoyed the chopped salad which was refreshing and their raspberry vinaigrette was tasty. My cousin got the jerk chicken and he said the jerk chicken was okay but he is use to jerk chicken having a hint of more spice. As for the service our server was nice and everyone was sweet.

I woke up...and had a delicious time! The reviews here tell you how great this place is, and well...believe them! I thought for sure it would be over-hyped and not live up to what people write and say, but I will admit to being wrong. First, our server, Krickett, was agreed upon (by my partner and I) to be the best server we have ever had. She was friendly, outgoing, had good recommendations, and an all-around joy. Second, the food! Wow! My partner had a salad...simple enough, right? But no, she was amazed by it. And she is a vegetarian, so she has had a lot of salads over the years. This one blew her away. I had the grilled chicken sandwich. Was it life-changing? No. But it was way better than what a grilled chicken sandwich normally is. It was tender, juicy, with just the right seasoning. I would be a criminal if I didn't mention the bruschetta...get it with the burrata...it is worth it! The crispy bread with balsamic drizzle is good enough with the diced tomato mix, but the cheese gives it a new level. And, I hope you saved room for dessert, because the key lime pie was a mouth explosion.

The restaurant has two distinct dining areas: the front section is first-come first-served bar seating that offers the full menu. The back section, which would be ideal for families, holds about 30 tables, mostly booths, with the hostess stand. We chose to sit at the bar and had a great experience. We started with bruschetta topped with burrata cheese. I ordered the angel hair pasta in a white garlic butter, cream sauce with marinated chicken and grilled vegetables. My husband ordered the special hamburger with Swiss cheese bacon, spinach and mayo with a side of fries. We ended with slices of the key lime pie that didn't disappoint! The food, service, staff and environment were exceptional! We overheard the Server mention that veterans receive complementary meals on Veterans Day, which speaks volumes about how this restaurant supports those who have served. If you are in the Outer Banks- whether you're staying in Kill Devil Hills or nearby- this restaurant is worth the drive and all the hype!

As you walk in you note the feel of it being a converted diner made to look like a country place. You grab your own menu, seat yourself, and walk up to the bar/register when ready to order. If the first time, you need a minute to get your bearings. Food ordered (3% fee is not using the cash "discount" FYI, pretty common around here and absurd given these OBX prices). Drinks are self serve. Some coke products and excellent tea. This was the end of breakfast around 10:30/11, so it was empty. Service was pretty quick. (they bring it to the table). I thought the breakfast pricing was fair. Shrimp and grits for $12, etc. Especially for the portion sizes. Two things I didn't care for. -The ceilling tiles were crazy dirty and stained and the flor light bulbs were uncovered. -The shrimp and grits needs a re-do. It's huge, with a base of grits, ladels of bacon gravy, and about 5 shrimp and cheddar cheese. It's more like a shrimp, grits, gravy, cheese casserole. I would have much rather had a base of grits, the gravy scooped in the middle with shrimp stuck in it, and topped with cheese. Even with all that you'd think there would be flavor. It was kind of bland minus the occasionally greasy/burnt bacon piece. Also, the shrimp were flavorful but over-cooked and tail on, which is traditional--but in the casserole were a pain in the butt to get the tail off/cut. I know they can do good flavors and plates. My spouse's chicken biscut...omg the hand-breaded chicken was fantastic! My son's baked apples were to die for. You Philly visitors will be happy to see scrapples on the menu - yuck. All in, I would repeat and stick to chicken and the chicken coop.
