What really made this place stand out, though, was the outstanding customer service. The woman preparing our food took the time to chat with us, answer our questions, and even shared some excellent local tips--including a better route to see the famous Tree of Life. Those kinds of personal recommendations make traveling so much more enjoyable and are something you simply can't get from a navigation app. If you're heading to or from the Hoh Rain Forest, do yourself a favor and stop here. They have local flavors of jams and candies including salmonberry and fireweed. They offer coffee and fast food type options. There are only a few picnic tables on the deck and a few tables below to sit at. We had to wait a little while to be able to get a seat. The bathrooms are porta potties out back. Uck. It can get rather crowded in such a small space waiting for your food. We ordered a burger, chicken fingers and a BLT. It took a little while to get our food as they were busy. Nothing was over the top good but it held us over until we got where we were going. The BLT only had two slices of bacon on it. So it may as well been a tomato lettuce sandwich. The burger was a standard burger. The chicken fingers had a different breading on them that I didn't really care for. If you need something quick to keep you going, it works. A little pricey for what it is and what you get. Next time, I will probably just make sure I eat well ahead of time or pack a lunch.
