I especially appreciated the sack lunch that you can order at breakfast time (and other times, of course.) It's perfect for hikers and sightseers to take with them for later. We were there at breakfast time on an unusually hot day. So I wanted something cold, and lighter than the breakfasts. The delicious cold ham and cheese sandwich and orange were perfect. It also included chips, a chocolate bar and cookies. More than I could eat at one meal! My two companions enjoyed their hot breakfasts too. We stopped in right before 11 am to have breakfast. Didn't take us long to get seated. We waited 30 minutes and we left. We never got told "Sorry, we are busy can I get you anything while you wait?" Nothing. No word of communication. If they are "short staffed" Should be noted or communicated. While leaving the waitress didn't care. She said "ok". After mentioning "we waited over 20 minutes" then we discovered it was actually over 30 minutes. It's pretty sad for a "Twilight town service" So we went to SULLYS instead! I went here with a group of 11 on Monday night. The hostess was great and could seat us right away. Our waitress seemed a bit annoyed with our group and wouldnt take our drink order until we ordered food- it was really odd. Really bad food!! Unfortunately Forks has pretty limited options, and this seemed like the best. We got there right after breakfast ended so had to get lunch food at noon. I ordered the teriyaki chicken sandwich and was not impressed. It had so much mayo on it, when it wasn't supposed to have any... nasty. And the chicken has a bone in it, about half an inch long, that I had to pull out of my mouth. The fries were bland, and the clam chowder was canned and basically inedible. The service was ok, and prices were reasonable. Definitely avoid unless you are in desperate need of food. read more

Lets start off with the happy greating and fast seating right out the gate. The service was very fast and food on point! The fish and chips were lovely with tartar sauce and coleslaw. Enjoyed a nice apple cider it was perfectly made and warmed me right up. Chicken nuggets and Mac and cheese for the minion. She had zero complaints she's practically a chicken nugget herself. Nice strawberry lemonade for her as well Prime rib dip for the sis she ate it fast and had no complaints came with a side salad or fries I enjoyed her salad. The only bad thing was the bathroom stall didn't have toilet paper but after I told the server they rectified it right away. Bathrooms were clean no issues after that! Was looking for a spot in Forks to get some late night ice cream. Found this spot and got seated right away. My friends all ordered pie and I got the strawberry sundae. It was massive. The waiter was super nice and the decor was cute. It did have a strong fishy smell but I'm assuming that's because they serve fish. Yummy ice cream!! read more

We stopped in for breakfast while visiting Forks and unfortunately had a disappointing experience. Our waitress was noticeably warm and chatty with the other tables around us, but with our table she was extremely curt. When I ordered, she wrote it down without saying a word, didn't make eye contact, and didn't verbally confirm the order. Later, when I asked for strawberries, she again simply wrote it down without acknowledging me. Our coffees also went without refills while she continued checking in with other guests. The strawberries didn't come... so I thought maybe she didn't hear me... so I kind of just let it go. but then she brought the check and she still charged us for them - confirming she heard. Maybe she was having an off morning, but the difference in how we were treated compared to the surrounding tables was noticeable enough that both my husband and I commented on it during the meal. I hope it's not nefarious/prejudice - I don't want to assume - but we ARE interracial, and visibly queer. The food itself was fine enough, but the service left us feeling unwelcome. The price to food ratio in this place is awesome. Great value fpr the price. I just had a 12 oz perfect ribeye for 27$. The seafood salad is also great. The place has character and the servers are super cool. This does not deserve the rating its got. read more

A Good Meal, But Expect a Long Wait We stopped at The In Place in Forks and unfortunately experienced some very long wait times. We arrived at 11:15 AM, waited about 15 minutes for a table, and after ordering, it took until approximately 12:30 PM for our food to reach the table. The restaurant appeared to be short-staffed, and service was quite slow. Food also didn't seem to come out in the order customers were seated or placed their orders. We saw customers who arrived and ordered after us being served before our food arrived. That said, the food itself was good and the portions were generous. I don't blame the line staff or servers--they appeared to be doing their best under the circumstances. The issue seems more like a staffing and management problem that needs to be addressed. If you're planning to eat here, just be prepared for a potentially long wait. If you're on a tight schedule, you may want to take that into consideration. Good food and generous portions, but expect slow service until the staffing and management issues are resolved. read more

5/14/26: wonderful diner with friendly staff -- and attentive! When we walked in, the young gal said "Four? I saw you pull up." It's a pretty big restaurant and the food was very good. The only hiccup was that one of the waitresses thought we were drinking coffee (it was hot tea) & before we knew what was happening, she poured coffee into our mugs. Of course, we all laughed about it. :-) Easy mistake. Maybe the mugs should be colored to differentiate beverages. LOL! There was plenty of parking and Forks was a fun town to visit. We were driving through forks pretty late last night. I think The In place was the only place open so we stopped in. They said they were closing in 30 minutes but thankfully said they would be happy to serve us because we were starving. It's a casual restaurant that looks family owned. The service was really great. We were a pretty big group coming in before closing and they didn't make us feel bad about it one bit. I felt awful though but we were desperate. I had the fried fresh cod and it was delicious! The batter was light, crispy and flavorful. My kids raved about the salmon and the pasta dish as well. If you're in Forks you should give it a shot if you're in the mood for seafood. The hostess was incredibly pleasant and took our names down on a Wednesday night...we waited outside and after maybe a 5-10 minute wait, we were seated in the glass enclosed front dining area. We both took a risk and ordered steaks. Being from Vegas, we couldn't resist the price points. (Around $25 for a top sirloin and upper $20s for a 12oz ribeye.) Both steaks were tasty, good sear flavor, perhaps a bit over the requested medium rare but still good. They came with a side fries/mashed potatoes and green beans, along with a dinner roll. We did wait a perhaps 15-20 minutes for our food but we weren't in a hurry. Our waitress was attentive enough to provide a drink refill and return with our check promptly. read more

Terrible experience. While I understand there are limited options in forks and don't want to judge every spot, the food here was not worth the price. It was made with bare minimum effort, just something put together real quick and lacked taste/flavor! The worst part of the experience was the rude host. This slightly elder woman at the restaurant came in to take our order and had way too many things to say about us and everything we wanted to get. She even called out one of us to "eat more and not starve" and then had an issue when we wanted to pack our food to take back. Extremely rude behavior. Won't recommend this spot! read more

Well it was flat out a bad experience. $13.00 hockey puck burger, cold grocery store onion rings and poor service. I asked for a water refill and it never showed up. The other waitress finally brought my bill which took forever to get and process. The town has very limited restaurant options and they apparently know that. I was staying in Forks and wanted a bite to eat one evening after a long day at Rocky Mountain National Park. Everything in this town was either closed or had an hour long wait for a table. There aren't a whole lot of restaurant options in Forks. The In Place was busy for a Sunday, but not didn't have a crazy long line like the other places that I visited. The In Place Restaurant is open for breakfast, lunch & dinner and has a menu with a little bit of everything on it. I stopped by here because it was close to my hotel. I got their Philly Cheesesteak to-go and ate it in my room before crashing for the night. There's not much in Forks, so.. you get what you can get. Came during the summer. They have a very small sign at the front near the register about a 4% credit card fee. Definitely didn't notice it until I saw it on the menu. That's steep. The wait for lunch was 45 minutes or something and the restaurant was empty.. meaning they don't have the staff. Early dinner at 6p and no wait, but later when we finished there definitely was. Got the fried catfish ($16+). Standard stuff. I wasn't expecting to be blown away anyway. I wish I went to the burger place in town instead though.. read more
