1. Salmon with mashed potatoes and asparagus - 4/5. This was a good dish...good presentation and tasted good. My girlfriend was happy, so no complaints here. 2. Fish and chips - 2/5. There was not enough fish and there was twice the amount of breading making it look like it was coating fish but most of it was not. The coleslaw was okay but not flavorful, and the serving size was minuscule. I literally ate it all in one fork full. The view from the table was great and the service was good. The waitresses were attentive and the place was very busy on a Sunday evening. Overall it's a nice place with good food and good service. They missed on the serving size for the fish and chips and coleslaw for a $20+ item. Leftover breading with no meat inside does not count and should've NEVER ended up on my plate. Ambiance: Great location by the water. You can see regular seagulls and ducks but we saw some brown pelicans and a heron as well our visit. The restaurant itself is comfortable with leather padded seats and the music was fairly muted so talking was very easy. Service isn't necessarily the most attentive or snappy but not negligent either. Took like 5-10 minutes each time to get a beer, flag for check, and no one routinely filling water, etc. I kind of them to be more responsive since there were literally only 2 other tables when we came. Food: Hot honey Brussels: Strongly recommended but it was on their specials menu so may not be available year round. The Brussels were crispy and not too bitter, it was topped with healthy amounts of pumpkin seeds, dried cranberries, warmed pears, Gorgonzola, and a drizzle of honey that wasn't excessive. Fish and chips: The good of this dish is the fish. The flesh is tender, properly cooked and it comes straight from the fryer blazing hot. The breading is crisp and well adhered but a little dense and oily compared to other fried fish I've had. My major complaint however was that the crinkle cut fries had a rancid oil taste which is bitter with a slight chemical smell. This may not be a problem when you go but it was very off putting for me. The tartar sauce is also VERY dill forward and very rich without any relish so I squeezed most of my lemon in it to brighten it up and help cut the grease. Mac and Jacks African Amber beer - Delicious beer served wonderfully cold Overall, this place was a little hit and miss. We really enjoyed our Brussels appetizer and beer but the fish and chips were overall mediocre at best, even if you forgive them for the rancid oil. Prices were reasonable to slightly high: two fish and chip entrees, a beer, and a soda running about $67 w/o tip. Probably not a place I would bother trying again. read more

What an experience. Arrived around 6:30 on a Sunday night and expected to have a wait time but we were not prepared for the lack of organization of the hostess stand. It appeared they had been taking names/numbers earlier in the evening (and allowing people to leave) but at some point they stopped and you just had to stand in a line until it was your turn to be seated. This resulted in a 45 minute wait time in the lobby while some guests who were able to put names in earlier came back and "cut" you in line. We were in no rush but this certainly wasn't ideal and I felt very bad for the hostess (maybe she was new?) who was bussing tables, taking orders, closing tabs, and attempting to seat people. When we got seated we ordered right away as we had observed some other guests seated before us still not have food 40 minutes in. We ordered the fish and chips and the smash burger. Fish and chips were average, good fish quality but the batter had a strange taste and was quite flakey. The burger was very flavorful and a huge serving size, highly recommend. The views from the restaurant were also lovely, with lots of late evening sunshine and huge windows with a great view of the ocean/bay. read more

Dropped in for a late lunch with some friends. Location is phenomenal with oceanside views and giant windows to bring light into the space. Setup inside is spacious with nice wooden furniture. Parking outside is easily accessible in a gravel lot. Service was casual - we were only one of a handful that decided to come in for a 2pm lunch so we didn't have to wrestle with competing tables. Food exceeded expectations. Our bar was relatively low for smaller towns but the seasoning on everything was great. We had a salad, clam chowder, and the fish and chips and everything was tasty without being overbearing. The portion sizes are meaningful - took a photo of the clam chowder that could easily be an entire meal and more. Would come back again for the views + there's not a lot of alternatives in La Push! read more

We were exploring La Push, hoping to catch some fish from the jetty (beautiful spot, even if you re not fishing) and this is one of the few restaurants in the area. Frankly, this might be the best restaurant in the area, all the way to Port Angeles. Don't be fooled by the exterior! tThe restaurant is very nice, the food is great, and the service is kind and reliable. The views of the river heading to the ocean are sweet! It's not cheap, but what is, especially this far from a big city (and in the PNW no less...!?) We had the salmon, clam chowder, fish and chips, calamari, chicken sandwich, and fry bread apple dessert. Everything was really good. The Mac and Jack Amber beer was fresh and delicious as well. The standout was that dessert though, sooo good! Wish we hadn't been so full. Most of the portions were very large, though the salmon was a little small imho. Note: My pickiest eater, who lives on chicken sandwiches, didn't love the beer batter on his sandwich. The view is amazing and there really isn't a bad seat in the restaurant. The window seats are clearly the best but even the non window seats have pretty good views. The food was excellent. The service is slow but they had 1 person serving the entire restaurant and it was packed and honestly it could of been worse for the situation but if they were staffed it be a 5 star experience. read more

If you're looking for a place to eat during lunch while you make your way through all the twilight themed adventures, this is it! Right on the beach with an incredible view sits this incredible restaurant. You're greeted with a warm smile by the waitress and the amazing smell of the kitchen. We got to choose where we sat so of course, we chose a window seat, although plenty of seating options were available. Their lunch menu is easy to navigate, as it wasn't extensive but still offered options. My husband and I tried the mozzarella sticks, clam chowder, fish and chips and the club. The marinara for the mozzarella sticks was out of this world! Don't forget the cheese pull when you bite in! All perfectly seasoned. The clam chowder had a healthy amount of clams, served with oyster crackers. The consistency of the soup was perfect. The fish for the fish and chips, along with the crispy batter was the best fish we've had in a long time! Even the lemon on the side was bright and vibrant which explains the dish perfectly. The club was a wonderful traditional club with a GOOD amount of meat. The bacon added an awesome salt factor and was crispy, which is how we like it! The best part is the fact that after lunch, we only had to drive 3-4 minutes away to explore La Push Beach! Overall, the service was awesome, the food was incredible and the views were beautiful! During our dinner, we enjoyed looking at an eagle that was perched on a nearby wooden piling right by the restaurant windows. Order something other than salmon. Even though there are fishing boats 100 meters from this restaurant, the salmon they provide, for $30, is frozen sockeye from ALASKA. It was way overdone, too salty and fairly small. There are zero other options in town so this place is it. Alternative is a 20 min drive to Forks. Kitchen closes right at 8. You wait in line out front to get a table as they don't take names. Cool atmosphere on the harbor and stunning sunsets. Good beer selection but very limited wines. Nice atmosphere. Pretty views. People were kind, but service was slow, poor, and uninformed. Waited for far too long to get our food. Went there twice, once for lunch, once for dinner. Lunch wasn't that bad, but dinner they really shined. Ordered the fettuccini shrimp. If you do the same, make sure you get the "flavor blast" for an additional $3, because there was zero flavor. I had to drench that pasta and shrimp in salt and pepper, but the lack of flavor kept consuming any flavor. It's ridiculous that they charge more, for more flavor, when there's 0 to begin with. Other members of my party ordered BLT's, and asked to add ham. One sandwich came out with no bacon and two slices of deli ham. The other sandwich came out with no protein, just lettuce cheese and tomato. When we asked for the ham on the other sandwich and the bacon missing from both, they then informed us they were out of bacon. You should know that prior to taking an order, as it would have changed what they ordered. A couple behind us are waiting for probably 20 minutes to order, their faces clear how they felt about it, then they started complaining about wanting to go home yet, 40 minutes before closing. Great, friendly service. The man we spoke with told us all about his childhood there on the reservation. Staying the night in the Big Tree with his friends and Patches, his dog. We ordered fish &chips and clam chowder to- go ( strict schedule) in our RV. The restaurant has a big parking lot (big enough for our 30ft rv) overlooking La Push beach. The clam chowder was the best that I've ever had and being from San Francisco Bay Area, I've tasted some of "the best". The clam chowder at Rivers Edge was way better than anything I've ever tasted. It is homemade, creamy and thick with onions, celery and potatoes. I even suspected a bit of bread mixed in. It was amazing. I'm sad we took it to-go because I need a few more bowls. Staying near the Hoh Rainforest, I realize there are few options, and I had little expectations. This place met the definition of little. One, it smelled like a grease fire was ready to spread outside the restaurant and set ablaze the national park. Perhaps I got the wrong thing...the smashurger sounded great, not a smashburger, the patties were dry, the bacon undercooked, the aioli nonexistent. Fries as well undercooked. The only reason this place exists is because its what seems like the only decent option within miles. Do yourself a favor, just go eat at the gas station subway. read more

Beautiful views from the dining room and we were seated promptly. The menu is very small and not accurate to online menu pics. Played it safe and just got a bowl of clam chowder and calamari. The chowder came out and it was the biggest bowl I've ever seen which I'm down with. After a couple bites it's so congealed and thick it was like eating a bowl of seasoned mud. Couldn't do it. Calamari arrived with tartar sauce and no lemon. It was fresh but felt like I was just eating seasoned batter. The tartar sauce was mehhhhhh. Definitely out of a jar. Asked for a lemon and it helped. No hard alcohol so I had a beer to wash it all down. This place with that view has so much potential. I really wanted the ribeye that was an option online but now it's top sirloin. I sat and watched a young girl eat hers like she was chewing on beef jerky. Glad I just did soup. I would absolutely not eat here again. First of all, this place is still definitely open! The "permanently closed" notice is wrong. My husband and I went here to celebrate our 4 year wedding anniversary and had a wonderful time. The food was amazing and the service was great! I got the Caesar salad with salmon, and it was delicious! The salmon was cooked perfectly and the salad had a generous amount of dressing, which I appreciated. My husband got the fry bread green chili smash burger. He liked it! The restaurant is right on the water, too! The interior is nice, and there was 70s/80s/90s music playing that evening. Our servers, Melinda and Denise, were great! Great food! So why only 2 stars? It was my wife's birthday and we arrived at 5:01 pm. Asked if we could sit at the 1 open window table. The host said "let me go ask". He came back and informed us, that, no, we couldn't, they are reserved for families after 5pm... management policy. I said, "we are a family.... still "no". My wife asked again when 2 more window tables opened up.... "no" was still the answer. 2 more window tables opened up and they seated 1 more couple and 2 individuals at a table for 12, and one more couple at the last table, not at the windows. We ordered our food (fish and chips, my wife wanted the blackened Halibut with a small salad..... again, "no, we don't do side salads". So I asked if she could have the berry salad with (the offered Halibut on the side), and could they prepare it blackened. Another trip to the manager.... yes but for a $5 up, charge for the seasoning.... ok... My wife's salad showed up, but was missing the blue cheese.... told the waiter, she went to the kitchen, came back... sorry we are out of blue cheese. So I asked that they take the up- charge off our bill..... back to the manager.. she came over again, and said she would take $3 off..... I asked if she was kidding. She said that's all she would do. I then told her she was the worst service oriented manager I can remember. We eat out 1 - 3 times a week, and this was the worst service I've had in 30 years. Food was good, but they need a new manager. She said if we weren't happy, to just leave... so we did. We waited patiently for our table. Tevis was very stressed out. We got there roughly about 715- 720. She told us that we needed to wait for a table then she arrives to us and asked us....Do we want takeout or a table after we've been waiting for a table I thought that was a bit odd. It didn't seem like she wanted to serve us if she didn't, she should've turned us away. However, Tevis never brought us water and took additional 5 minutes to have another server bring water . Tevis exact words were I need to hurry and take your order . Tevis returned to help another table without checking on us she never asked if we wanted an appetizer or a drink ! She brought the check with our food, citing her computer's closure. I felt rushed and refused credit card payment, leading Tevis to yell. I offered cash payment, which upset her. The adjacent table found the situation amusing as he had not paid and she didn't harass him ? I requested a manager, but Tevis claimed to be the manager. The experience was stressful, but other team members were helpful. I suggest hiring someone who can handle stress and multitask. I only came to this restaurant to support the tribe as I am native as well. It was really sad. The food was amazing. However, customer service like this is it going to benefit the business? We're praying for her as she may be going through something we were going through something . We were on a trip because my mother-in-law is very ill with cancer . You don't treat people like this, you don't help the world be a better place . I would like to say thank you to the young native girl who brought us water thank you, to the other native girl that brought our food !! I believe her name was Marina ? and thank you to the gentleman that got our napkins. You're a great example of good customer service and the chef thank you. The view from the dining room is hard to beat. We were lucky enough to snag a window booth-- with full view of the spectacular sea stacks and brown pelicans. An unusual and (somewhat prehistoric) sight. I had the scallops with garlic mashed potatoes (omg) & asparagus. *A funny thing happened when we told the hostess of our 7pm reservation made through the website-- she said they didn't take res for tables of two.
