Brought girlfriend for outpatient procedure. Check in typical ipad with additional paper forms. Reception Staff not friendly or welcoming just abrupt. When they called girlfriend in for procedure i waited just reading with waiting room maybe 20% full.. I was Yelled at by receptionist who never left her cubicle in front of people in waiting room : "you cant wait here,,, you have to leave!! Will call you when you can pick her up,,, all yelled at for everyone to hear. First impressions are appearance of facility and interaction with receptionist. This was a huge failure with poor social skills by the receptionist which reflects poorly on the rest medical team and the facility who could all be great. read more

This was the nicest staff I ever encountered. One nurse was just as nice as the other. I asked for something they pleasantly provided Without hesitation. It's unusual a busy place like this has such Pleasant staff. They even say it's their pleasure. read more

Went in for procedure here after having the same procedure last year at the Outpatient Center of Boynton Beach. Now I'm stuck with a large bill from the anesthesiologist. Last year I had no such bill. I really wish they would have been honest and upfront because I had the option to choose either facility this time around. I will not be back. read more

i had an endoscopy here and i was very very nervous like you have no idea. and after reading the mixed reviews i was even more concerned. but my experience here was truly so wonderful. even the front desk lady who assisted me was nice and helpful. the nurses in the prep area were beyond amazing, Raymond and i wish i remember the other girls name she was so kind and warm and comforting. and the anesthesiologist dr. Carlson just wow! he explained everything and answered my questions so nicely. i asked for an extra blanket and he gave me 2!! i could cry i was so relieved with the care i received from these people. though i will say in the recovering area which had different nurses it was not the same experience, i was told i would get water or juice and crackers and i was not even offered. i felt i was rushed out to leave and within less than 5 minutes of waking up i was out the door. thank you to the nurses in the prep area, Raymond, Dr. Carlson, you all helped me tremendously and set the bar. i hope others can learn from your care and kindness. they also call you to check on how you're doing the next day! read more

I had a Colonoscopy on April 23, 2024 at The Outpatient Center of Delray. Prior to this I was absolutely fine with no health issues at all. Over the next 2-3 days I began to have very bad diarrhea and stomach cramps that would not go away. I contacted the doctor after it got bad and he wanted to wait a little bit to see if it subsided. It did not. After 2 weeks of this I was directed to bring a stool sample for testing. I was then diagnosed with CLOSTRIDIUM DIFFICILE TOXIN/GDH W/REFL TO PCR - (C.Diff). This can be life threatening and is very uncomfortable and can easily recur. After speaking with the manager at this location she kept trying to convince me that I could have got this by opening a door at Publix etc... I did not go anywhere after this Colonoscopy and within 2-3 days I was pretty sick. Again, I was totally healthy prior to this event and I can not imagine I contracted this from somewhere else. I am not on my 2nd dose of medication and it has really not got any better. This has totally changed my life. I need to be close to a bathroom and am not sure what is next with this. It has been almost 2 months and am still going through trying to get rid of this. They talk about bowel transplants and a partial colon removal... at first I I was very impressed with the person at the door making sure only patients entered and got us temp checked and ready for check in (he even got me a warm blanket when he saw I was cold) .. the intial nurse was great but midway they switched nurses then the Anesthesiologist interviewed me and then they switched him to and then im wheeled into the procedure room and prepped to have my endo/coloscopy a staff meeting is called on loud speaker and they all leave me in there alone to attend the meeting and then came back 10 minutes later and yet a different nurse and from there it seemed everyone was rushing even the dr who said" get her on her sode and lets go " they put me to sleep in recovery room i was very groogy and wanted to rest but they insisted i get up and get dressed as it was after 5 nurse didnt even take off my leads said " sit there (in waiting area of recovery ) and wait for your ride." i said my throat was extremey sore and asked for water and maybe something soft to eat (i hadnt eatten for 48 hours) she gave me warm water from bathroom sink and a bag of hard oretzels(not great for a very sore throat ) they were all rushing around cleaning as many said they wanted to go home my ride came and knocked on back door as instructed for 10 minutes to no avail they tried to calll center to no avail as they got computer and front door was locked she called my phone and i started to wobble to exit door unsteady no one even notixed till last second and then didnt even walk me out my procedure was scheduled for 245pm they took me intoprocedure room at 330 then the staff meetimg somprob got started @345 i was picked at 5:10 so obviously they rushed me out of recovery as i was barely there 10 minutes before they made me dress and sit in chair and when i got home i had to pull all the leads off there was no follow up call today (the day after ) perhaps when i have to do this again in 3 years i go elsewhere read more

The Outpatient Center of Delray double billed me and I paid twice in err. I sent them copies of the bills and cancelled checks and I called 4 times and reported the double pay to 4 people, over 2 months later no reimbursement or acknowledgement. The Billing Office number on their bill is wrong. (the colonoscopy they performed was was done professionally A to Z.) read more

From the time I entered to the time I left the facility I got nothing but extraordinary care. They did an excellent job with all of the COVID-19 procedures and etiquette. My appointment was right on time and everyone from the doctors to the nurses to the anesthesiologist did an amazing job. People leaving bad reviews here must leave bad reviews everywhere. Horrible communication issues with this office. Every time I call them, I get a machine especially with Maddie who runs the scheduling for procedures. I have emailed and called her numerous times and I had to cancel my colonoscopy scheduled this week. I got a text from them saying it was 4/30 but I already had scheduled it for 4/29 and that caused confusion. Maddie confirmed 4/29 but she promised to get back to me yesterday. However, she never did and I tried calling her again plus emailed her again. Zero response - zero stars! Do not come here for your procedure if you value peace of mind. Go elsewhere. I hope Dr. McGuire sees this. He's a nice guy and does not deserve employees like this. read more

While the facility and the people at the facility are great, their billing department is not. I was required to pay over $450 for a procedure up front. My insurance covered the entire amount so I've been waiting for three months to get a refund. If the reverse were true, they would be sending me to collections. read more

The built in 45 minute to one hour "wait time" in the outside waiting room negates the good experience that you have once you get through the front gate. Facility management won't change their over-scheduling habits until patients start going elsewhere. That's too bad cause the surgical staff does a great job. I had a dreadul experience at this facility from the initial person checking Covid test results to the next level nursing staff. I was scheduled for a colonoscopy and spoke with a male nurse who did the basic intake (even though I filled out a 7 page detailed form online). I was very explicit in describing the issues I have with rolling, collapsing veins and vaso vagal syncope. He was very dismissive and said "oh, we do 7 of these a day". Not at all "hearing" that these are very real issues and that I needed someone highly skilled to insert the intravenous. Then he said, I'm going to take you right into the procedure room. In my street clothes!!! This is a room where sterile surgeries are performed.?! Unbelievable and unprofessional. It was an ongoing mess from there. The result was that I couldn't have the procedure because the med tech couldn't find a vein and I fainted. I will say that the entire staff in the recovery area were absolutely superb though I will never go to this facility again. read more

I did have today EGD test at The Outpatient Center of Delray. I'd say it's the best outpatient place I ever have been. It made me feel like around the family. Such a Great service, very friendly&lovely staff, and very professional service. After two excellent experiences: one in 2015 and one in 2016, our experience on 2/2/2017 clearly showed a diminution of service. 1. The nurse who inserted my IV hit a valve and the pain was excruciating. She apologized and then inserted it correctly. Two days later, my hand is still swollen and turning green, black and blue. 2. In recovery, I asked for an extra blanket. I was told, "You have blankets!" When going through a procedure and recovery, the sensitivity of the staff is critical to a positive outcome. Needless to say, I was very disappointed. 3. My husband asked the receptionist when I would be ready be leave. She barked, "Half an hour!" Five minutes later she called my husband's name to tell him I was ready to leave. I suppose a whole new staff is there. read more
