We spoke with Fiona the day prior to when we wanted to go e-biking. She was able to help and accommodate with last minute reservations and my group was able to complete the waiver ahead of time. Once you arrive, they'll have you watch a quick safety video and then explain the mechanics of the e-bike. It's fairly easy and straightforward. Their shop offered options for e-bikes, but they will assign one to you based on your needs. Be sure to ask if one with a basket is available! They are a game changer. If you plan on doing the Narrows, their e-bikes do have a compartment near the back tire to insert your hiking stick. Another thing to note, they have parking available behind their shop. The entrance is in the side of the building with the light gravel. Very convenient since you don't need to worry about street parking. We had no issues whatsoever during the trip. We even had some guests inquire about our e-bikes and where we rented them since they didn't seem too fond of what they rented themselves. We had zero complaints and only good things to tell them. Plus the provided helmets were clean and in good condition (especially the inner liners/protection foam).

Forrest struck the perfect balance -- fun, knowledgeable, and great with kids -- so everyone felt completely safe and comfortable while still having an amazing time. Our 9- and 11-year-olds crushed 50-foot rappels and were so proud of themselves. Highly recommend, and we'd book with Forrest and Zion Adventures again without hesitation. We also rented our Narrows gear through them, using the new Virgin location instead of Springdale. It was more convenient for us since we were staying in Hurricane, making it easy to pick up gear the night before. Easy process, and Maile made sure we had everything we needed plus all the info necessary to stay safe on the hike. One tip: if you're not staying in Springdale and are booking a canyoneering tour, book the Virgin location. It's right by Kolob Canyon Road where Lambs Knoll is, so it saves you the drive into Springdale.

Seeing crowds of tourists in identical boots carrying the same poles felt like classic herd behavior and an unnecessary upsell. I was wrong. The rocks in The Narrows are uneven, slippery, and constantly changing. The boots provided great traction, and the pole was invaluable for both balance and gauging water depth. Could you buy cheaper gear for about the same price? Probably. But it likely wouldn't be as good, and you'd have to carry it around. Sometimes there's a good reason to follow the herd. This was one of those times.

Knew the place was going to be packed so we went a day early and were able to pick up our equipment by 2pm the day before. (Side note: if you rent the dry bibs, be prepared for serious self-doubt when you stand in line for the shuttle and see hundreds of people around you without bibs. Take heart, the water is very cold even at this time of year, and people without bibs usually can't go as far or as deep in the water, so you'll be glad you have the bibs, although I kinda missed being able to feel the water on my legs! Also whether or not you need the bib depends on the time of day you plan to go. We got to Zion early in the morning, and made it to the Narrows around 10:30, so it was still kind of cool. By the time we came back, it was 2pm and the sun was hot so I could imagine not needing a bib then!) Pickup was pretty fast, after we signed in we were able to get our equipment right away and tried them out for size. My husband exchanged his shoes for a larger pair but I'd say they were pretty spot on with sizing for the rest of us! We were in and out the door in less than 30 mins. After returning the bibs, I realized that I might have left my sunglasses in one of the inside pockets, so I called them to check. Even though they were handling a crowd at the time, somebody (Michelle) still picked up the phone and went to check for me, and called me back to tell me what they found (which weren't my glasses), for which I was incredibly grateful. Their team members really helped us have a good time, and their customer service was great. They are very nice, helpful and they explained everything we needed to know to ride the bike. The bikes were all working properly when we got them! We spent some time exploring Zion with the E-Bikes. Using E-Bikes helped us explore at Zion the area at a lot faster pace than if we had been using traditional bicycles. One big advantage is being able to see the beautiful Zion views without having to worry about where you will be able to park your car too! But then realized it should have been for all day. A quick call before they closed made it easy to change the length of the rental. We were met by Brian and Hannah at the store on Sunday morning. They give the best customer service with their knowledge, friendliness, and patience. They made sure we were on the right bikes for our height and comfort level. Each bike was taken around the store to make sure everything was in working order before we hopped on them. Rental includes the bike lock, helmet and carryon pack. The store location makes it so easy to get to Zion National Park. It's so much more convenient than waiting for the shuttle. The ebikes allowed us to stop wherever and whenever we wanted. There were so many photo opportunities that at times it was just a start and stop. As the day got hotter, the breeze from riding the ebike was refreshing.
