Just wanted to give this shop some love after we purchased a new Ripmo for the Mrs. from them. We were visiting the area and stopped by. With bike demand so high right now, we were pleasantly surprised to find they had Ripmos in stock. After a short test ride, we made a deal on one and arranged to have the shop ship her old bike back home so we could drive off with the new Ripmo. On our drive back to Phoenix, we hit the Flagstaff bike park so she could start breaking it in properly. Thank you to Quentin, Jordan and the mechanic who did the final adjustments before we left. They were friendly, knowledgeable and professional. They made every effort to get her bike setup right, despite it being a busy day at the shop. Whenever I am in the area for riding I always make it a point to stop in - they have helped me with emergency repairs in past years and they always have great gear and clothes. I stopped in this past week and they gave me great advice on some new trails that I had not yet ridden. We rented 5 bikes and a bike rack and had an excellent experience from the time we called to inquire about rental prices, to the time we arrived. Very courteous and friendly staff. The bikes are of excellent quality and the rates are very reasonable. I highly recommend this place if you are wanting to ride around Hurricane, UT. My only recommendation is that you make reservations the day before and pick up the bikes early in the morning. We rented in the afternoon and the heat was a bit much. Would highly recommend Over The Edge Bike Rentals! The bike rental was worth the rental price. We rented 4 E-mountain bikes to ride the trails near the bike rental shop. The bikes were set up to fit us perfect before we even got to the shop. Then we hit the trails! We ended up having some bike issues and sent one biker back who got their flat tire fixed and the bike shop workers fixed the e-bike calibration quickly and easily. After we rode about 17 miles around the mountain trails, we came back down to the shop and they took the bikes back. We got to chat with the owner for a while and even got to meet the adorable shop cat, Squeaky. It was a great experience and we had a such a great time riding the trails. If I could, I'd give them 6 stars. These guys are awesome. They saved our trip. In a freak occurrence, my buddy's rear derailleur completely broke off. We brought it to OTE on Friday afternoon. In just over an hour, they replaced the derailleur, chain, and derailleur hanger, getting his bike back riding perfectly. I cant thank you guys enough. My girlfriend and I were visiting for the area for her birthday and I was finally able to get her to go on a ride with me. On our way in to town I called and spoke to a really polite gentleman and he was able to help me select a bike for her that would help make sure she enjoyed the experience. When we arrived for the reservation we were created by Quentin who was such a help in making her feel comfortable and giving her some tips on her first ride. I brought my bike in for servicing, and even though they were very busy he said he would have it ready for me the next day so I could continue riding on our vacation. If you're an avid local mountain biker the bad attitudes, poor customer service and over charging for small repairs is enough for me to flip them the bird as I drive by. This is an awesome bike shop with a lot of character. It's in an old house off the Main Street through town. They are well stocked with mountain bikes and plenty of accessories. The mechanics appear to know what they are doing. They didn't have the bike rack I was looking for but one of the employees sold me his used personal rack that he wasn't using anymore. Best bike shop in Southern Utah and I would venture to say anywhere. Quentin, the owner, is very personable and helpful. He knows his stuff and is very free in giving his advice, which is awesome. He has built the best shop in area and most like the whole state, He has surrounded himself with amazing mechanics and managers that go the extra mile. They have an amazing fleet of bikes to rent, at great prices (best price in area and the bikes are serviced well and maintained. For the type of amazing bikes you are able to saddle and ride, the price is great. We have rented from them on many occasions and they always have the sizes and quality bikes available. In a time where almost every other bike shop is low on inventory and charging arms and legs for their inventory due to everything being in short supply, they have a great selection, I mean amazing selection and they don't jack the price up. Zack, the GM, is such a friendly and great guy and truly helped in finding all the parts and components I wanted for the frame up bike build. He and the team went above and beyond. They exceeded my expectations. It was like I was kid in a candy store and it was Christmas morning when I fot the call that my bike was ready. They built it in one day!!!! I couldn't believe it all this during the pandemic, spring break, and another local bike shop saying they will have a 30 to 60 day waiting list for service. The peeps that will make you feel like a millionaire. Sanchez is a wizard mechanic and a master in putting my Revel Rascal together and tuning it to perfection. He was extra helpful with all my questions and his set up of the fork and shock made my bike ride amazing. (He also has most adorable little 3 month old boy that we were blessed to say hi to). He also bled my buddy's brakes and helped get a new stem and riser bar for my friend's wife, when he was supposed to be done with work for the day. He went above and beyond- we just showed up. Brent is a rockstar! After Sanchez helped getting those new components for my friends, Brent very kindly took the time with us and switched out the stem and handle bars and then switched out my GX eagle shifter for the ox1 that came in. Going the extra mile is what this shop is all about. They are busy and they should be because they are hands down the best bike shop I have ever been to, but they will treat you well and truly exceed your expectations!!!!! We were on our way to ride the Historic Hurricane Rim Job Trail for which Over The Edge Bike Shop is strategically located. (It's on the way to all the big rides, Gooseberry Mesa and the JEMs trails, just before you leave civilization.) We dropped in to drop off a wheel on our spare bike to fix a flat. We thought we would collect it on the way back. We met Sanchez who appeared to be the leader of the repair shop and, as it turns out, mountain biker extraordinaire. Sanchez said "wait." He fixed it instantly, I threw the guy a 10 plus 10 and we (5 guys) were on our way in 5. We all have higher end eMTB. Finicky. I had spent $400 to have my bike "expertly tuned" and some parts added in Los Angeles before the trip. Everything wrong with the bike was worse after the "tune". After the semi crippled ride on the rim, we returned to the bike store to plead for help. (It's not like the place wasn't busy and we were going to ride Gooseberry the next morning.) Sanchez greeted me and examined the equipment. Like a bike whisperer he laid his hands (and eyes) on the machine and diagnosed several problems with the bike in a few minutes and recommended several fixes. They were serious: chain constantly slipping (a problem that had persisted), brakes squealing like a bitch, dropper post malfunction and more. Sanchez assuredly showed me the parts I needed (new drivetrain and other things) and quoted me a price I thought was half what it would cost in LA, and, oh, can you have it by morning? I did everything he told me to do. Sanchez stepped up. I would say we are fun and generous guys and the staff was equally fun and receptive to our exuberance, so maybe that's why we got special treatment. We felt special anyway. They got it done. The bikes were ready in the morning. They upgraded my components and the bike was better then new. That's not hyperbole. The drivetrain was better than ever. It was the first time in a long time everything on the bike worked perfectly. We had a beautiful day and magnificent ride at Gooseberry. We returned to the bike store on the way back, we were kinda addicted to all the cool stuff they sell inside. It was, frankly, a little embarrassing. My friends and I bought all kinds of stuff, helmets, gloves, clothes, with Sanchez recommending his favorites. We just bought what he told us to. We love everything we got. Obviously, we reciprocated the generosity and the first-class service. We all had a lot of fun in the store, the staff and my friends. I'm already looking forward to next time. Oh, and everyone in the store was very good looking. It turns out Sanchez is a real MFer on a mountain bike. Have him show you some videos....and just do/get whatever he tells you to. read more

Wow!!!! Rode Gooseberry Mesa 2/28/2021. My friends and I stopped in here because we needed a few things before we hit the trail. We came out from Vegas. We came in with the front of our bike severely damaged thinking we would need to rent in order to enjoy the rest of our trip, but they quickly evaluated and told us it would be a quick fix because they had all the tools needed to fix the bike in shop. Not only was it fixed it in less than 24 hours but done so well that there was no sign of previous damage. The customer service is incredible here! Not only did they get our bikes serviced (mine half rebuilt) in only a few hours, but all was done with honest pricing. I've been to Over the Edge Sports every year for the last five years that I've been coming to Utah. I will not come back. Today I brought my bike in for a simple brake adjustment and they attempted to charge me the "tourist mark-up" of $260. The person I spoke with on the phone was not polite and was obviously irritated when I questioned him about the ridiculous charges that he was trying to scam me with. Update: I took my bike in for the same issue to my local (and honest) bike shop and the mechanic fixed the issue for $25. So, the mechanic at Over the Edge was either dishonest or incompetent. read more

When we arrived we were greeted with a handshake and great enthusiasm. The energy of this bike shop is like coming home from a long day at work only to have your kids and family tackle you at the door. Quinten & DJ Morrisette are the owners of the Hurricane Over the Edge Sports where they not only sell full suspension dream bicycles...they sell experiences and memories that will last a lifetime. Now I can see why Quinten & DJ have owned this shop for over 12 years. They have such a great love of people and the sport of mountain biking. Over the Edge Sports is situated at the base of the mountain biking Mecca in Southern Utah. Quinten took us up the mountain and dropped us off at the top of the trail for us to experience what riding on full-suspension bicycles is like. He made sure we had water, bike pump, tool kit, and a map that my wife thought looked like a "treasure map". The map is made out of the same material you use to clean your glasses, "How Rad is that" ? I also was amazed to know that they preserve the trails through the Bureau of Land Management (BLM) as well as the city of Hurricane. Not only do they provide amazing bikes, they also care about the environment. They don't provide the standard name brand bikes you'd see at big city bike shops, they focus on quality, precision and comfort and offer mountain bikers specialty brands that are worth every penny customers spend on them. Over the Edge Sports is 12 miles from the Gooseberry Mesa trail head. They fitted me professionally and had me out the door in 20 minutes. They are what everyone should expect from a top notch shop. They have a large selection of rental bikes and bikes for sale as well as a big selection of mountain bike clothing, helmets, pads, and accessories. They take care on fitting insuring the bike is set up specifically for the rider. The staff is very knowledgeable and is not shy about sharing information that will improve the quality of your ride. They made suggestions about trails direction of travel and other items that greatly improved the quality of my ride on local trail systems I had no knowledge about. read more

Bill shuttled us 4 ladies to Gooseberry Mesa-- my sedan wasn't going to be able to handle the rutted "road" to Windmill trail head. Local knowledge on which trail was "walkable" or ride-able depending on skill level and which loops to "not miss"-- PRACTICE loop so much fun and "direction" important although, we passed people both ways. Plenty of time left over when Bill picked us up, friendly and smiley. Shop dry fit t-shirts and some mountain bike fashion up to date. Coffee shop inside, smells amazing in there and the shop men look like a GQ magazine or Outside centerfold of what sexy is. Our All mountain trail riders met at this shop over the weekend and they were so hospitable. Quick fixes for a few of our 35 trail members who swarmed around the shop. Again, super homey and comfortable inside the shop. Get their eyeglass cloth that has the TRAIL map etched on it! One cozy bathroom inside... but courteous and don't number 2 in it! read more
