Once upon a time Over Easy had one restaurant and there was usually an hour wait to get in. Now Ashely tells me the original location is closed and they have 8 restaurants total. Wowza!!!!!! So I stopped by today for breakfast and had the Basil Pesto Egg and Cheese sandwich with hash browns. iI also ordered a side of pepper grits. I had to take half of it home since the portions were large. All of the food was really good and I enjoyed chatting with the server Ashley. All in all a great experience. I however, do miss their original coffee vendor though from when they first started out. I was told it was a special import from Italy. Not sure if the waitress was pulling my leg or not. lol Nothing against Press though they are pretty good too and local. I love that they have State Forty eight gear for sale. read more

Came in on a Saturday morning around 11am. It wasn't as busy as I was expecting which was a surprise! We had a party of 2 and were seated within 10 mins. Both indoor & outdoor seating were nicely spaced out and comfortable. After being seated my husband and I noticed the table was not fully clean. There were no silverware set & some trash from previous guests laying under the salt & pepper shakers. Our server was nice & very informative which I appreciated! Towards the end the service did lack a bit. We asked another employe for boxes since our server was not around much after the order was taken. We tried the spiked chai & it was just okay. It lacked flavor & just wasn't worth it in my opinion. I wouldn't get it again. I tried the biscuits and gravy & it was pretty good. It was a bit cold on arrival but I was starving so I dug in anyway. The house made jalapeño biscuits were tasty & filling! Wish there was a bit more gravy though. My husband tried the chicken & waffles & was a huge fan! The chicken was delicious & so flavorful! The waffles were soft & perfectly sweetened. This was our favorite part of our experience! I've been to Over Easy many times since they opened and they aren't that bad. This last visit, we ordered the infamous Banana nut French toast and it was absolutely amazing. Great taste. We also ordered the chicken and waffles, it was okay. We had to ask for hot sauce and syrup (which is notes it comes with on the menu) just to be told the hot sauce is on the table and they brought us syrup after. The Chicken fried steak was okay, crunchy and nice however their gravy is more sweet than savory. Not a personal favorite. The have fresh OJ which is always a win. Hot coffee and delicious. Service was okay, wasn't the best until the end when we noted the CFS wasn't a personal favorite. Otherwise it was okay. We'd visit again but mostly for the French toast. read more

I've ordered takeaway twice recently and had a great experience! Over Easy has a wonderful online ordering system that makes it very easy to customize your order and add things. They also text you when your order is ready which was nice. The food was ready on time, and packed nicely with hot sauces, ketchup, and utensils. I picked two of the meals featured on Diners, Drive-Ins, and Dives. They were both really good but the ham steak was my favorite! The red eye gravy really brought the flavors together. It had such a great coffee taste with a tiny hint of sweetness. They gave me extra red eye gravy for no charge and it was great to dip the tots in! The chicken fried steak was good too. It's a huge portion that will last two meals. The country gravy that came with it was fantastic. I added the hot sauce they gave me to it which added a nice extra bit of spice. Also they cooked the eggs for each meal exactly as I requested. Over medium for the ham, and over hard for the chicken fried steak. Very nice. Overeasy is very easy to get used to in Arcadia(eastern Phoenix neighborhood). Alonzo, the GM, was very gracious and professional serving me a full meal even though they were almost closed, I still had time to eat and it was all delicious. Note: Ashley, my server, made my Paloma cocktail which was awesome. The corn beef hash, one of my all time favorites, is the best I've had in Arizona. The fresh squeezed OJ came in a large 16oz. glass and was another all time top ten for me. My Paloma cocktail(I believe named after Paloma Picasso)was delicious giving a great tequila with grapefruit juice buzz. The sunny side eggs and pecan premium taste bacon were also outstanding. I've pondered over what to say about the food here and the only thing that comes to mind is an overwhelming feeling of being underwhelmed. We were able to be seated within 10 mins which was great, however by the time I joined my group the server was MIA. We were told she was really busy but when my group spotted her, she was rolling silverware. Once we got her, she took our order and was extremely friendly. Hubs and I ordered omelets (mine veggie and his had chicken) with a hash brown and he ordered a side of pancakes. My sister in love ordered the chicken and my bro also ordered pancakes and something else (can't remember). My omelet was just ok, Hubs said his was ok as well but was thrown off by the slice of melted cheese. My hash brown was also good but I should have asked for it fried harder. Sis enjoyed her meal as well but my Bro didn't enjoy his pancakes, we didn't enjoy our either. I thought maybe we'd gotten sourdough pancakes or something but the server confirmed they were "buttermilk", I don't think so. So DDD visited and recommended the chicken fried steak with scratch gravy, eggs and potatoes. Glad we asked for extra gravy as the smear received didn't even cover the very tough and chewy chicken fried steak! Asked for hashbrowns crispy/well done, barely brown, almost raw. We were seated right away but had to wait a while for our drinks, when I received my water the glass was dirty, it had MILK all over it! After we finally we're able to order our food, my husbands food came first and his whole order was cold, then everything else came separately! The tables around us remained dirty for the entire duration of our visit! There was an employee eating where the food was being prepared and served, the floor and booths were all dirty! We came specifically because they had mimosas on the menu but the rest of our order surely did not disappoint either. The pancakes were the perfect texture and level of sweetness. Have visited this place many times and it always delivers food-wise - I really enjoy it here.. We met with some work colleagues who were in town briefly and decided to meet here for a breakfast meeting. While the food is always great here, and the service quick and very friendly, the cleanliness of the floors were definately not up to scratch. There was lots of old food and dropped eating utensils underneath our table that had obviously not been removed or cleaned after each party of guests who had sat at the table prior. This was rather off-putting to us and our colleagues. While I will be back again for their famous "Wolf Pack" and other menu choices, I would like to see a little more attention to keeping the place clean and fresh, just like their menu! read more

Boy I'm having a good time eating in Phoenix. This place was just what I needed after our wonderful foot massages. I guess this place has has been on a lot of food shows. It very 50's seating. Which I found out later by eavesdropping on a customer's conversation with the hostess that it's going to be renovated tomorrow and they're going to push it out and make it a bigger establishment. And they have a full bar which is always a plus. Bathrooms were clean staff was friendly. I decided to try something I normally would not order. We had the waffle sausage with delicious maple syrup on the side(3 per order). They look like corn dogs on a stick. But let me tell you the batter was so light and airy and the sausage was sooo juicy. Then I enjoyed the fried chicken steak with gravy and 2 eggs over easy on top. Hash browns on the side. I heard about it but I never knew before if it was chicken or steak? I finally had it today. So when you go you'll find out if it's chicken or steak. So tender, not overly seasoned which allowed the flavor and textures to come through. I would definitely visit this place for comfort food any day. read more

The decor is spot on and the service was amazing. We loved the freshly squeezed OJ. The coffee was really good and our breakfast was absolutely delicious. My husband had the Two Egg Combo and I had the Classic Avocado Toast - both entrees were fresh and extremely flavorful.
