I am already a fan of First Watch but their new seasonal steak hash with chimichurri sauce is divine. I ordered my beloved ham and buyer's cheese omelet. They took it off the menu but it can still be ordered. My husband ordered the steak hash. I wasn't in the mood for that much flavor variety (mistake). We were both only eating half our breakfast - but I finish the other half of his so delicious hash since it wouldn't reheat as easily as the omelette. Planning to return frequently since it is only here for a few months. My friend loved the farmhouse hash and plans to find the CA Riverside location. read more

I usually always order the BLT Eggs Benedict; it's probably my favorite breakfast item they serve. However, the picture on the seasonal menu looked so good I had to give it a try: tender steak, potatoes, peppers, and onions, topped with feta, eggs, and a vibrant, garlicky green chimichurri sauce. There are so many great breakfast restaurants around Phoenix, though when it comes to First Watch, I have learned it is a chain of breakfast restaurants that is consistent, offers great food, and has some wonderful deals here and there. While I typically frequent other First Watch locations, my wife and I stopped here yesterday morning on the way to do some errands in the area. This was our first time visiting this location. It had a large indoor seating area as well as outdoor seating. The waiting area inside was rather small with overflow to outside. The staff were nice and welcoming. First Watch serves breakfast, brunch, and lunch. They have a Jump Start menu with unique dishes along with a juice bar, iced coffee, breakfast cocktails, healthier side dishes, EGG-sclusives, omelettes & frittatas, from the griddle items, power bowls, salads, sandwiches, a kids' menu, and small plates and sides. My wife and I chose to each get one of the two classic favorites on the menu. My wife ordered the Traditional, which includes two cage-free eggs any style with your choice of bacon, smoked ham, chicken sausage patties, turkey or pork sausage links, and it is served with whole grain artisan toast, all-natural house preserves and fresh, seasoned potatoes. I chose to order the Tri-Fecta, which includes two fresh cage-free eggs any style with either a light and airy Belgian waffle or a multigrain pancake plus your choice of bacon, chicken sausage patty, turkey or pork sausage link. We both ordered our meals with fruit instead of meat. The pancake was large and warm (easily melting the butter on top). The potatoes were tasty, and the fruit, toast, and eggs complemented the meal for both of us. As there was a 15-20 minute wait today, we used the app and checked in online in advance. This allowed us to jump to early in the line. The service was good and food arrived rather quickly with everything correct on our orders. I love FW. So I stopped into this Arcadia location to quickly grab a to-go bite to eat. Upon entry I noticed the set-up here is a little different. Very cozy, nice lighting - staff was quick at servicing me. I did recognize some staff were a little more preoccupied in sharing a little gossip - but figured; that's what they do here - so I pretended to not hear. I ordered my food with the tall gentleman and received my to-go order (drink and meal) within 8 minutes. In the meantime I washed my hands in their bathroom and noticed there were 4 single-use bathrooms labeled M (Men), W (Women), M/W, M/W which I assume was men/women. I happen to peek into the M (Men's) because I'm always curious to see if the restaurants I visit ever think about Single Fathers or Father Daughter time and to my disappointment- there was no baby changing station in the M (Men's) Restroom. There was one in the W (Women's) Restroom - but in most cases in society- that's to be expected. Back to my order. I purchased a Quinoa Pesto Bowl and upon receiving it - I quickly noticed it was lacking in portion size. I've visited a couple other First Watch locations and this portion size seemed a lot smaller than other locations - I'm not sure if it was a fluke or may e portion size was smaller in this area because folks are on specific portion control diets? Lol. Welp, this was my first visit to this location and while the flavors as a whole were spot on (once mixed - the temp of the food was at best a little warm (I prefer a hot plate; but I figured since it was placed in a to-go container, that was the culprit of cool food). Hopefully next time, both portions and temp will be on point. The question is: Would I recommend this particular First Watch? My answer; Yes. The facilities were clean & while a few of the staff could transform their gossiping into positivity; I believe this place would make a great place to enjoy a delicious meal. read more

From the eggs to the pancakes, everything tasted homemade and high-quality. The menu has great variety, and there's something for everyone. What really stood out was the service. The staff was friendly, attentive, and made me feel genuinely welcome. For a first-time visit, it felt like I was already a regular. On top of that, the prices were very reasonable for the portions and quality you get. It's rare to find a place that checks all the boxes: great food, great service, and great value. I cannot speak higher about our experience at First Watch- everything was perfect. The project sunrise coffee is some of my favorite ever, it's perfectly balanced and just strong enough. Our server Kate was amazing, she was so kind and bubbly, gave us amazing recommendations and really took time to make sure we had a great experience. We modified multiple items (cheesy eggs and grits, gluten free french toast, and extra crispy million dollar potatoes) and every single item came out perfectly. The food always tastes very fresh and flavorful so huge props to the kitchen staff. I would recommend first watch to anyone in the area and can't wait to return again soon! I came here as a group of 5 around 12pm. The wait wasn't that bad, about 20 mins. The service was so quick and very very polite. My whole table LOVED every dish they ordered. I had the best smoked salmon hollandaise entree. I also ordered a blueberry muffin, the waitress asked me if I wanted it grilled, she recommended it so I ordered it that way. I came here for brunch with a friend and I was excited for the seasonal menu dish with the pulled pork, corn flour tortillas, eggs, and potatoes. I knew the staff was under pressure and our server said they were short staffed. I didn't want to mention anything about the undercooked potatoes to them out of respect. I did ask about the tortillas because what I received was white flour tortillas. Our server was very nice and said they ran out of the corn flour tortillas and asked if I wanted multigrain toast and a substitute I said sure. She understood what a surprise and disappointment having basic flour tortillas is with a green hatch chili dish like this. Corn tortillas are always preferred in my book. The dish overall was smaller than pictured and it was bland as well. I will doctor up my leftovers when I reheat them. The food selection is great and they usually have some sort of special menu as well. The fresh juices are awesome and I always grab one. We had the breakfast items and all of it was super fresh and tasty. The service was 100% excellent and polite. Alison, my foodie friend, never disappoints on her venue choices. First Watch was awesome. Our server, Rachel (?), was friendly, and attentive. I ordered coffee, but my friend ordered Cinnamon Toast Cereal Milk. After a few sips, I knew this was the drinks of gods. YOWZA. Our app was Gingerbread Spice Donuts (two dipping choices) delish. Our food order was: Smoked Salmon Benedict, a side of bacon, 1 pancake, and more. The ambiance started off quiet but as time approached the early lunch crowd, it started to be noisy. We decided to try First Watch for lunch as we've only been here for their famous breakfast. I had the Cobb salad and hubs had the chicken salad. He really liked the fact that it was served on a toasted piece of bread- as well as the chicken salad itself was yummy. My Cobb salad (minus the egg) was HUGE- the waitress let me know that in the future, I can order a half salad - so take note of that. The salad was very good, I could only get thru half of it. It was served with a 'toast' that has butter and some spices on it and was really good! Service was excellent , we had iced teas to the table even before our first round was gone. We ended up getting butternut squash bisque to go as I didn't see it on the board before we ordered. We had it with our dinner and it was fantastic- creamy comfort food. read more

Partners and the biscuits and gravy (demolished) and a single carrot cake multigrain pancake (equally annihilated). And I had the chili.
