Nice neighborhood feel when you walk in. Order at the counter, get your food, eat and THEN pay like a real restaurant!! Meatball sub looked good and my buddy said he enjoyed it. Brooklyn Mike's is just like a corner deli. It's a small place with a few tables. While ordering Mike asks if want crispy bacon or regular bacon. Then he hands me a sample of both. Both are great but it's bacon it's supposed to be great. The subs come in 2 sizes and there are plenty of choices. I had the Fuhgeddaboudit Club. Its was great. Full of meat and of course bacon. The large is basically 2 subs. Mike and, I'm assuming his wife, were so nice and attentive. I didn't get the "Brooklyn Style" but word of mouth is if you like vinegar and oil you'll love that style. It's worth the stop if you're at Costco around the corner but they close at 2pm so don't procrastinate. read more

Wow!! You can tell Mike and Kathy LOVE making sandwiches and being creative! Friendliest place I may have ever been!! I had the spicy sausage sandwich (it needs a more spicy name), incredible flavor! The bread was perfect, onions, peppers, jalapeños, and homemade spicy mustard. I'm so glad I had them wrap the other half to go or I would've eaten it all! Service was awesome! The food was amazing. We ordered large sandwich thinking it was like chain restaurant sandwiches. Not the case all, it was overflowing with meats and veggies. Expensive and horrible flavors. I got a pastrami and swiss and it came sliding around in it's grease falling apart everywhere. There was some sort of mayo with the mustard and then the pickle which was the same size slice as the meat slice. Yes, SLICE of pastrami. And they claim to be NY deli style? What NY deli serves processed sliced meats that taste like store bought garbage?? He even touted that he made their own pastrami. I barely finished a bite. How do I even suggest how to do it better when you have a greasy mess on a thin potato bun or whatever. No way this place has this many stars or Phoenix has no idea what a proper pastrami sandwich is like. So it's been 8-9 months since the last time we've been to Brooklyn Mikes Subs here in Phoenix AZ. Let me tell you right now if you didn't RUN there from our last update and review, shame on you. I have relocated the entire family from CA to AZ and let's just say these sandwiches definitely tipped the scales on the reasons scale. 8-9 months later nothing has changed the owner and his lovely wife have been waiting on us as if we were family and the reunion today was as expected, WONDERFUL. Sure I can say all these things about how amazing it all is and the quality of the food and the NY deli vibes is superb and the owners are like family, but pictures say a 1000 words. I was on this side of town running an errand and found this place on yelp. The reviews looked good so I decided to give it a try. It was around 10:30 am so it wasn't busy but door dash people were in and out which told me the food must be good. It's a mom and pop outfit. I ordered the hot pastrami. The pastrami and pickles were made in house. The sandwich was piled high. I should have ordered a half size. The meat was mild and tasted more like an Italian beef. It was delicious. The people could not have been friendlier. I'll definitely go back next time in the neighborhood. read more

Visiting close by and Brooklyn Mike's looked intriguing. I tried the Turkey and cheese. It did not disappoint at all. It's a fully packed sub. They don't skimp. Unfortunately the soft drink and tea dispensers were out of order but had a very large variety of canned and bottled drinks. The owners are very friendly and personable. Not a bad sub, but the mayo they use needs to be changed to Duke's or similar, the mayo they use tastes like Kraft which is not great. In addition to organizing the shop a little more, not cluttered with random stuff...most importantly change your mayo distributor! read more

The owner/staff was super nice! I ordered the large Brooklyn Bomber combo. Kinda like an Italian Sub but oddly with mayo but it was STACKED. A little pricey for a sandwich and chips and a can of soda. It was $22. I had to pay with an app like venmo. Otherwise I'd be charging another $2. I think a $25 lunch is a little steep. It was a bit of a hole in a wall. The inside was a little shabby. The seating was just a mess. There was some kind of cooler parked in front of the chip area. Basically there was three tables to set at. Everything else is facing the wall and backed up to a broken cooler. The fountain machine was out of order. But anything else the staff asked multiple times how the food was. It was in a bit of a ratty part of town but while I was in there it looked like there was repeat customers so it can't be that bad. Overall I would recommend it. It's not Jersey Mike's but it was pretty decent. For some reason I can't post a picture on here. Something to do with my phone. read more
