I rarely ever leave a review, even when the food is exceptional. However I feel like people need to be aware of the situation going on at this establishment. Me and partner came here expecting your local diner with a twist as this place was featured on the food network. I order Chilaquiles (something I order very often if the menu has it). The chips were SO soggy, it was literally falling apart as pick up the chips which is extremely off-putting. I did eat one of the eggs however that wasn't enough to save the dish. I told the server very nicely to take it back and to kindly comp as it was not eatable. She was very nice about it and said she'll talk to the owner. The owner didn't feel the need to take it off for us and gave it to us half-priced. Mind you, I did order another plate of food to give the chef the benefit of the doubt & to also compensate for the meal that I did not like. She asked us if we wanted to speak to him and at first I was a little reluctant to however I asked if he can come over. So the chef came over and I VERY kindly critiqued his dish and gave him valid reasons as to why I didn't think I needed to pay for it. His basic argument was that the food costs money making US feel bad for returning the plate. No customer service whatsoever... and absolutely no integrity. He just kept repeating the fact that the dish was ordered 20 times already and to go ask those people how much they loved it. I tried giving this place a chance but you can't expect a business to thrive when the owner isn't willing to allow his business to grow. It's not the actual restaurant, it's the owner/chef. Caprese avacado toast was a win! There was at least half an avacado on each slice, very generous. Service was quick and staff was friendly. It didn't seem like people had to wait long. If you knew me, you'd know my very favorite type of food is breakfast food. I'm not easy to please when it comes to breakfast, and this place blows it out of the park. Their Wolf Pack is so great, especially when I come there after going to the gym next door. All of the ingredients are so fresh, and the staff is incredibly nice as well. For something sweet, I recommend the Waffle Dogs. It's a breakfast sausage that's dipped in waffle batter, like a corn dog. They give you some dipping syrup for it as well, really good. Only thing I don't recommend is the coffee, every time I've gone there it has been way too overpowered. However, their fresh squeezed orange juice more than makes up for it. read more

Not bad, didn't realize it was a chain. There is outdoor seating here at the rear of the restaurant that faces the canal. I went on a pretty busy Saturday. Sat right away, got my coffee. The food came a lot faster than I expected considering how busy it was. I considered the waffle dogs but decided on the jalapeno biscuits and gravy... I was surprised at how spicy they were! Got the sinus' going first thing in the morning. A lot of familiar favorites on the menu as well as a few original dishes. Overall satisfied, will return. It's small so seating can be limited so don't be in a rush but your in the Keys so you're going no where fast. The serving sizes are huge so be hungry. The place is always clean. The staff is very courteous. The place is small so go early. We have ordered the rosemary lemonade which is excellent. The breakfast burrito, french toast are our favorite. Nothing special. Stopped by on our drive north because of the great ratings but it just didn't meet expectations. Pros- cute, parking, clean, coffee and jam were good Cons- food was average. The pork and green Chile sauce are laid atop black pepper Parmesan grits and topped with two eggs. I had my over easy. Pork was tender. Chile was smoky. Eggs were cooked just how I ordered. Everything needed just a pinch of salt. I also wanted to try a waffle dog, a sausage link dipped in vanilla waffle batter and fried. They allowed me to order one as a side. This was served with a little aide of syrup and a strawberry. It was yummy. The waffle was soft and fluffy and the sausage link flavorful and hot. Service at the counter was quick and friendly. Paying was easy and fast. I ordered an over easy iced coffee to go. It was supposed to be made with cinnamon, cardamom, and sweetened condensed milk. It tasted like plain iced coffee. The best part about this breakfast gem is the menu. Really fresh and new ideas for breakfast. Not your basic eggs and hash browns, although they have that too. We came here two days in a row while visiting the Keys. Yesterday I had banana nut French toast on brioche bread with real maple syrup and Carmel sauce. Still drooling a day later. Easy parking lot and good location. It has a cool diner feel. The service was quick and friendly. I had the crying pig omelette and it was huge with generous bacon and sausage. Also had the sweet potato tots which were great, but way to much to eat (would be good to share). The wife and I shared the original Avocado toast which was tasty.
