The mahi mahi was overcooked and something else on the tacos had a competing taste that didn't mesh well. The wrap was good. We were on the hunt for a good breakfast spot in Islamorada, but before we could eat, my boyfriend had to make a quick stop at Bass Pro Shops to pick up some fishing gear. That's when I noticed a sign saying they served breakfast so i figured we'd check out the menu and wow, I am SO glad we stayed! The breakfast here is phenomenal and such a bang for your buck. The portions are generous, the quality is amazing, and everything was absolutely delicious. I ordered the Crabby Hash which was two perfectly crispy crab cakes topped with onions, peppers, smoked gouda cheese, creamy lobster sauce, and two eggs any style, served with crispy, golden hash browns. It also came with a choice of toast, pancake, or biscuit. I went with the pancake, and it was so fluffy and delicious it could have been a dessert. My boyfriend went with the Country Fried Chicken which was lightly breaded chicken breast smothered in sausage gravy and those same perfect hash browns. He loved every bite. This place says it's world renowned. Maybe for horrible service. The hostess acts like the world owes her a living and is the complete antithesis of how a hostess should be. I ordered New England Clam Chowder, I got conch chowder. They switched it to clam but believe me Progresso is better. The wife ordered a trio of small sliders, one chicken,one pulled pork and one burger. It was on their specials menu. They brought out three pulled pork sliders which we quickly sent back. Located by the original Bass Pro Shop, plenty of parking and an amazing atmosphere. Sitting outside, you can see the large tarpon fish in the water. There was some live music there. We only stopped in for a quick bite, ordering the Wahoo Dip, the Alligator bites and the Coconut Shrimp. Our server was friendly and attentive. The Alligator bites was seasoned well and the batter was perfect. With some tobasco sauce, lemon and spicy ranch, it was very good. Beautiful outdoor dining. If you're looking for the best sunset view for dinner and cocktails this is your place. Easy parking. If it's chilly out they have heaters which keep you very warm. We stopped here for dinner on a Friday night. We were able to get a table right near the doc with a nice view. The menu had a little bit of everything on it. We both ordered fresh fish dishes and were not disappointed. Our server was very nice and told us that the Tarpon under the doc would go crazy for the shrimp tails left over from our appetizer. He was very informative about the menu and suggested we order the dinner special featuring a fully fried yellowtail with rice and vegetables. We also had a half shell of oysters (on the sweeter side) and a crab cake to start with a bottle of white wine for the table. It was our first time eating this type of fish (and prepared as well) like this and certainly won't be our last. Place is a novelty to watch and feed the Tarpon. There is a nice view being on the water as well. We sat at the bar outside and ordered drinks and the calamari. The bartender really only acknowledged my husband and not me. If the calamari is any indication of how the rest of the food is I wouldn't recommend it. Absolute disgrace to seafood, They used to have my favorite fish sandwich on the planet now just about everything is inedible. I don't know what happened but it's really gone down hill. Not only does it taste like frozen seafood but everything we ordered was also over cooked. You used to be lucky to get a seat, now half the restaurant is closed off and still has empty tables. Came here for an early Wednesday dinner. The restaurant is very big with plenty of seating but there weren't very many patrons there. We started with the alligator bites which were sooo good wow. Was truly impressed. We also had the peel and eat shrimp which were really good but too much work so I'd opt for a shrimp cook tail next time instead. I had the guava bbq mahi mahi and it was just ok. The fish was a little dry and tough and the sides were bland. I've heard the sunset here is beautiful but it was overcast and we were there about 2 hours before sunset so didn't get to see it. read more

Stopped here for lunch during our road trip to Key West, and we are glad that we did! Wonderful view, good food, nice ambiance. It was a bright sunny day, and we got a table with the view of the bay. I believe it was 17.99 per person as of August 2024. The bring your own catch came with 2 sides also which we got veggies and rice. The key like aioli that came with the fish is soooo good!! When in the Florida keys, your gotta try the key like everything !!!!The wahoo dip was delish although I wished we had more cucumbers bc we are trying to be healthier. I ate at the Dania Beach location years ago and I don't remember being too impressed with it, but my wife and I were recently down in Key Largo and decided to give this location a try. The hostess was very friendly and we were seated right away. There's a beautiful view overlooking the water and there are plenty of tarpon and other fish swimming around. The service was fast and friendly. There food was very good and reasonable priced. They also have a fairly good selection of local and craft beers, of course they also have all the regular domestic and imported beers. We ate and some of the group had drinks - draft beers were supposed to be $3.05z Service was slow, but they were busy so we didn't mind. When we paid we were in a hurry to get back on the road to key west, so I just handed the server the card to swipe given how busy he was.
