We went to Finally Ours for a special New Years Day breakfast. When we were sat, we were immediately asked our drink order (love!!). We requested coffee, and the server asked if we would like to try their flavored coffee. We ABSOLUTELY did, the flavors of the day were buttered rum and gingerbread mocha. YOU MUST TRY THEM! Not only are they delicious, but they are also works of art! They made our breakfast extra special. We ordered the Belgian waffle combo, and a build your own omelette. I've been reading great reviews about the hash so I ordered it with 2 eggs over easy and rye toast. You get a choice of bell peppers or no Bell peppers. I had them added in and it was a good choice. I was quite shocked when I arrived here. The parking lot was full but the wait time was very reasonable. I was very impressed with the service. Our waitress was very attentive. Very attentive, your drink will never be empty, the way they have there staff set up works like a well oiled machine. Second the food......OMG!!! I got the Utica greens and pork belly omelet, savory, hot temp when it came out (doesn't always happen nowadays) the flavors were above and beyond. It was a little out of the way and the parking lot(s) were full, so I was a little discouraged at first, but we found a spot when someone left and only had to wait 10 minutes to be seated on a busy Sunday early afternoon. I'm imprsssd by the size of the place. A lot of these breakfast/brunch diners don't have sufficient seating for the crowds they draw, but that wasn't the case here. I was also impressed by the staff. From the flow of the bus boys to waitresses and waiters, all were great. They ensured we always had a full cup of coffee. The menu is great and has all the classics, but check out the specials on the board. There doing some good stuff here and they're executing it very well. My husband had the flank steak omelet, which was huge and tasted great. The perfect blend of quality and quality. I had a Belgian waffle, nanas potato's, eggs, and a Belgian waffle. Our friends had eggs Benedict and cinnamon roll French toast. Everyone was really impressed and left satisfied. Before we left we grabbed a slice of chocolate cream pie (excellent) and chocolate chip cookie dough cake (amazing). I've been coming here since they opened and I had my first bad meal there. I talked to the owner and I complained about the meal that my guest wouldn't eat It was burnt, brown (eggs), super salty, dry and it tasted like the oil was old. The oil tasted old in my meal too (home fries). She tried to defend the food and made it seem like I was a problem customer- I have been coming here and enjoying meals since they opened. My wife and I ate here maybe a year ago (+/-) and just had breakfast with our daughter and son-in-law (who said they have wanted to try but life gets in the way... we all enjoyed a great meal to say the least and will continue to send people their way whenever the opportunity presents itself. Ordered one of their specialty salads the presentation was nice however, eating the salad posed a challenge. They didn't remove any of the hard tough pieces in the lettuce, aka the core/ stem. We went for brunch after reading a food critic review. My husband had the country fried steak, and I had the garbage plate. From the time we ordered to the time our meals were delivered, was an astonishing 9 MINUTES. Everything was hot, the country fried steak was tender enough to cut with just a fork, home fries were seasoned perfectly, hash browns were cooked just right, not soggy. The biscuits that came with the garbage plate are literally melt in your mouth delicious. Now...about the staff. What a well organized staff. They are very attentive, the bussers can clear, clean and seat new customers in less than 30 seconds. Our waitress checked on us several times during our meal. The table had mini flavored coffee creamers, several flavors of mini jam packets, which was a wonderful surprise. Always busy. Always good service and great food. It's a big restaurant with two large rooms. During weekend breakfast hours they both are generally full but we typically find the wait time to be minimal. We've eaten here for lunch and breakfast and the food and service are always consistent. This is a great breakfast place! The owners have been in the restaurant industry for years and opened this spot after years of working for other restaurants. I love coming here for breakfast. The portions are huge and there menu has a lot of options for breakfast. It's always very busy here, but you'll be seated very quickly. They have a large seating area. Not one time did anyone at our table wait for a drink or coffee refill. With such a large party, there were multiple staffers taking orders, and not only did they get it all right, but all the food came out at the same time. The menu at Finally Ours is pretty extensive, along with a special board. There were so many fantastic choices between their breakfast and lunch items. I heard zero complaints from anyone in our party. The diner is really well decorated for the holiday season, including a 6' singing Grinch. We really had a WONDERFUL time at Finally Ours, and I can not wait to go back. Stopped into Finally Ours at 9:00 a.m. on a Tuesday. I was excited to finally try the place because I've hear a lot of good things. However, each time I've attempted to go, there has been a massive wait time. Today, we were seated immediately although the place was fairly crowded. The host who sat us also brought us our first round of drinks which I found interesting. This was the tip of the iceberg when it comes to the experience with the wait staff. While we didn't experience any long wait times for food, drink, and especially the bill- the whole experience was pretty odd. By my count at the end of the meal we had been served (in varying capacities) by no less than 6 different people. Very, very bizarre. As for the food, I ordered two eggs scrambled with Italian toast and home fries. I also ordered a single slice of french toast. My food was pretty unremarkable. The eggs and toast didn't move the needle for me. The home fries were pretty dry and unappetizing, I didn't wind up making even a dent in them. The french toast was pretty good though and would almost certainly be what I would order if I were to return. My breakfast companion had a Belgian waffle and hash browns. She claimed the Belgian waffle was very dry. She also ordered the hash browns "as crispy as you can possibly make them", but was disappointed when they weren't even nearing her crisp expectations. 29 dollars and change for the aforementioned food and two drinks. Seems a little high for breakfast. This experience at Finally Ours was pretty mediocre. The most memorable part of this meal was the ever changing wait staff. There are better breakfast options in the area than Finally Ours but feel free to frequent if you're looking for a milquetoast meal. read more
