Mike just finished my door and I could not be more satisfied with the service. I found him by referral and texted him I needed a spring. He gave me a quote and I set up an appointment for my next available day. I also requested a tune up because my door was never correct even before the spring gave out. The day of he texted me when he was on his way an was promptly there. He told me everything in the tune up was covered besides the parts. He mentioned the bearings was the likely culprit and he had them in stock and they were only $40. Turns out the bearings were binding and he had the job all finished in the 30 minutes he said it would. I'm a business owner myself and deal with a lot of companies and I can honestly say that true professionals are pretty rare nowadays. I originally reached out to Mike at ODS based on his reviews and because he literally lives right down the street from me... I called him and told him that I have a broken torsion spring on my 2 car garage, to which he said he'd fix for $200. GREAT! I said I'd call him back in 2 days when I got back home and get setup for him to come out. I sh*t you not, I then made a 5 star review draft I was ready to post after he finished the work because based on all of his previous reviews, I thought his work was gonna be a slam dunk! Fast forward to almost a week later... I've called him twice since we originally spoke last Tuesday, and I even had my wife call him yesterday and leave a message to see if he could still come out... no answer! I understand it's a holiday weekend, but what's been the most ironic part about all this is that every time we have driven by his house... his truck, clearly marked ODS, has just been parked in his driveway! Overhead Door Solutions impressed me. A friend's rental property in Murietta had the garage door spring break. I read through reviews on Yelp for this business and a few others. I then called and obtained verbal quotes as to how much we could expect to pay and asked about availability for the next day. It was already passed 6pm, when I first called, I got the voicemail. I hung up without leaving a message but got an immediate call back from Mike, the owner. He provided me with a lower quote than the others I had called and was available the following day for the installation. For parts (2 springs) and labor, I was given a quote of $220. I let hm know that the occupants of the residence were tenants and inquired as to what method of payment would be sufficient. I was able to pay with a credit card. Mike advised that he would call me after he had completed the work and obtain the credit card info at that time and would then forward the paid receipt via email. When I spoke to him following the completion of the job, the bill was exactly as Mike advised it would be! No surprise price hikes! I can't answer as to his workmanship, but we received no complaints from the tenant. However, if Mike was as pleasant in person as he was on the phone, then I highly recommend him for your garage door needs. read more

He replaced the springs which had broken, the cables, and also upgraded the hinges on my 25+ year old garage door. We could not have asked for nicer, more honest person. Mike came by to take care of my broken spring today in North County San Diego (via a home warranty service) - I was half convinced the warranty company wouldn't be able to get anyone out to me same day, but Mike was in the area and took care of business - not only did he replace the broken spring, but he tuned up the (very old, somewhat cheaply made) door segments, lubed up the moving parts, bolstered a few joints that were weakening or cracking and would likely fail, and helped tighten up /adjust the IR sensor so the door would stop crapping out so often. Gotta say he was super professional, very chill, took care of business and did it super-fast. And, best part, he handled my noob questions and concerns without making me feel like I was asking dumb questions (which I'm sure a couple of them, were). I called Mike Friday morning because Mesa Garage Doors didn't show up. He said he was super busy but would def be there. He gave me a call later in the day to let me know he was still hung up at a job but still would def be there. True to his word he rolled up about 8 or 9pm and had our door fixed in under 45 min. I called on a Friday evening right at dinner time. Mike returned my call about an hour and a half later and said he could come by the next morning. He gave a two hour arrival time and arrived right about in the middle. He gave a quick quote and he was off to work. Got our somewhat simple problem fixed quickly and charged a fair price. Although I have nothing to compare it to I like supporting businesses where who you call is who shows up and he was all business while still being super friendly. These people are a rip off just off the phone looking for parts, and they guy told me he would change one spring for $225. People educate yourselves, the spring is on ebay or amazon for 28 bucks, takes about a hour of your time to pull a broke tension spring off and install the new one. Do t forget winding bars, just hearing his price to fix it was a eye opener. About a year after moving to a home that is 18 years old, we began hearing a loud metal cracking sound when closing our garage door. We thought the springs needed replacing. My husband called Overhead Door Solutions due to excellent recommendations on our Temecula area "Nextdoor." My husband talked with the owner, Mike, and it was determined this was not an emergency because the door was still functioning. Nevertheless, Mike was able to schedule an appt two days from then. He arrived within the time frame he had scheduled, and even gave us a call 20 minutes prior to arriving. When observing the door closing, he immediately determined that the problem wasn't the springs, but a small crack in one of the metal door panels due to a warped panel causing metal fatigue. The crack did not show from the outside. To prevent it from cracking further, Mike added two metal braces across the garage door. (This was a less expensive repair than replacing the springs would have been. Mike explained that the springs had been replaced, were high quality, and would last for several more years.) Before leaving, Mike even lubricated the hinges, rollers and springs. His repair and preventive work took about 20 minutes. Mike has been doing this for 30 years. He is thoroughly competent, congenial, punctual, and honest. I never thought the sound of a garage door closing would be music to my ears! read more

Not that I'm complaining about having to open and close a garage door by hand but it's 2018 and I don't want to! So we called ODS and Mike shows up during the window he gave us. Very friendly and knowledgeable! I explained what had happened to the door and he took a peak at it and saw a broken part. Luckily he had the part on his truck so he got right to work repairing my garage door. He did notice that another piece had jammed into my motor and again he had a spare part he was able to fix that as well! Very very reasonable in pricing.
