We had the very best experience here with our friends! Highly recommend. PS) Very surprised about "Rita O's" review. She has only reviewed four establishments, and she has slammed all four with one star ratings and angry reviews. Wow, how sad.

The front desk employee Michael was also very helpful and friendly. The pool was nice and I found the room to be average, with everything In working order. The beds were a little hard and oddly the pillows were not uniform sizes. The bathroom door was very hard to open and close. A child could easily get stuck. We went to Brassie's for dinner and the server was very sweet and friendly but they were obviously shorthanded and the service was slow. We also ordered take out and the wings were a little freezer burnt. We did take out from the dining room as well, only ordering 3 side salads as they were out at Brassie's. The order was wrong (the initial bill was for 3 large salads (almost $40). It was finally resolved 25 minutes later, after a heated discussion between employees regarding changing the TV channel and an impolite exchange between the two hosts about who would seat a couple. The ice machine on the second floor did not work and the bartender at the dining room was rude. The view from the back porch was amazing, like something from a movie. The grounds were pretty and well maintained. The lobby is very nice as is the gift/pro shop. I did let them know at the front desk about the issues and they made a significant adjustment to my bill. Overall, we had a nice time and it is my understanding that this was their first weekend opening post Covid, so that might explain some of the issues. I did see another review that mentioned some of the staff making them feel unwelcome. This seems to mostly be an issue in the dining room. I got the same feeling and it was disappointing to find this in such a nice place. Overall, they seem to need to make some changes in staff and focus on details like adequate Brassie's staffing, less hold time when calling, verifying that things like the ice machine work, having food delivery to guest rooms from the restaurants, after hours food availability of some sort and fresh not frozen food in the restaurants. Please dont misunderstand though, the place is beautiful and some of the employees really worked to make our visit nice. Overall I would recommend. We travel very often and will return as this place does many things right. Hoping management will act on some of the feedback that I have spent time sharing here. The difference between an amazing stay and a mediocre one lies in attention to detail and how comfortable and welcoming staff are. With a few minor changes, this resort could be amazing.

The solid wood tables add substance and everything about this place is first rate. If you choose to have an outdoor wedding, you can go with with the side where the path is finished or the side that is more natural. Both sides have trees over them and lights that make it fun. In the event of inclement weather, there are places inside where you can have your ceremony. This is a family business and my understanding is that it was the McGuire family farm. Everyone in the family still seems to be helping out and they were a delight to work with. They were kind, helpful, efficient and professional. I cannot give them high enough kudos. They worked with us to decorate and allowed us to use some of their beautiful lanterns and other decorations. Anything we needed, they were right there. We had a buffet dinner with chicken piccata, mashed potatoes, and vegetables. It was all hit and flavorful. Not your average wedding food. They have a beautiful bar set up. We had beer and wine at the bar and they served water, sodas and tea on the other side of the room. They also have a great place to showcase your wedding cake. I would absolutely recommend that you check this out if you are looking for the most beautiful wedding venue ever. There are also so many great places to take pictures. Check it out. You'll be glad you did.

They had live music and almost every table was taken. We walked up to a young lady who was serving wine in a cart. We told her it was our first time. And she explained that if we wanted by the glass, we can buy from her or go inside and get a tasting or a bottle. We decided to get a tasting first to see what we would like. We were greeted by a woman who gave us some good recommendations. However once she poured the wine on the carafe, we were not given wine glasses to pour them in. As a first timer, we just thought we were supposed to drink from those. It was only until a very nice lady who works there walked by and asked us where our glasses were. We said we were not given any. She went inside and got us two wine glasses with a little bag of oyster crackers each. It was a lovely day! Can't wait to come with my friends and family.

They don't have their food license yet, so just a heads-up--no kitchen service for now. But they do offer prepackaged meats and cheeses you can buy, which is a nice touch if you want something to nibble on while you sip. We opted not to do order snacks. I ordered a wine flight served in cute little glass containers and genuinely enjoyed all of them. I also tried the fall sangria--festive and not overly sweet, with real apple slices and a cinnamon stick. Perfect for the season. I sat outside in the early afternoon and loved the peaceful vibe. Plenty of outdoor seating, and from the quick peek I got inside, the interior looks beautifully done. I'll definitely explore more next time. Overall, it's a charming stop if you're already in the area.
