My parents always come here. Tonight they invited myself and my fiancé to join…read more The band playing tonight was "The 90's band." All music from when I was growing up and what I listen to now. There also wasn't a cover to get in, which was great. You order your food at the counter and wait for your buzzer to go off. It didn't take long at all. I had a Caesar salad and added shrimp. There was a generous amount of shrimp too. The shrimp had a nice sear. My fiancé got a cheeseburger and a cheese dog, which he said was just okay. My mom enjoyed her coconut shrimp. My stepdad didn't like his clam strips at all. Why? There wasn't any clam! It was all breading. Not one iota of clam was present. The fries it came with were crisp and had some good flavor though. Drinks were a little pricey, but that's expected. My fiancé said the men's bathroom was absolutely disgusting. He also said there was an attendant in there telling folks which stalls were free. This is all good, but with an attendant he doesn't feel the bathroom should've been as gross as it was. I cannot speak of the ladies room as I didn't use it. Parking isn't the best either.

Drinks and food are ordered in different stations. Drinks were 2 for 1 until 6pm. We ordered at the food counter and then searched for an open table. The lobster roll was amazing! And the drinks were so good! Such a nice place on the beach to visit during the summer time.

I went to my favorite açaí place, Playa Bowl! Today, they had $5 off açaí bowls for the national…read moreAçaí day, so I visited with my family. Since we always get their Pitaya or Green bowls, this was our first time trying their açaí based bowl. I decided to try their Nutella açaí bowl, which comes with strawberry, banana, and Nutella spread. Since I love blueberries, they let me swap the strawberry for blueberry which was nice. I could also choose a second base, so I picked their banana base, which I don't usually see at other places. My family got their Tropical bowl, which comes with pineapple, banana, and honey. The server was nice, and they made our açaí bowls quickly, neat and nice! What I love about Playa Bowl is that their base tastes amazing and is creamy, and the portion of fruit is great! They're usually around $16, which is a little expensive compared to other places, but it's definitely worth it. They have so many varieties of bowls with different kinds of base, the acai, Pitaya, green and banana. They also sometimes have seasonal bowl, which right now is the strawberry based bowl :) so you can try different ones each time you visit and find your favorite! My favorite so far is the Electric Mermaid, which comes with pineapple, mango, and kiwi on a Pitaya base. This location was great, nice and quiet, not crowded. If you haven't had a chance to try it yet, you should definitely try!!

I'm so glad I did because as soon as I ordered, the line was nearly at the door. The word must be out about Playa Bowls.. which is a good thing! I picked up the booster bowl, which contains banana, peanut butter, vanilla protein, flax oil, spirulina & cashew milk. It's topped with blueberry flax granola, banana, chia seeds, and finally, my favorite.. .peanut butter. It was absolutely amazing. Next time I might add some honey but honestly, it was pretty much perfect as is. I really love how Playa Bowls leaves you feeling quite satiated but not overly full. Out of all the acai spots across the Island, I think it's safe to say they are my favorite.
