Although this dish is no longer on the menu, i LOVE the Shrimp Pesto Salad Bowl here! I do not live near Bango Bowls - Bay Shore at all but every time I'm visiting a neighboring county, I MUST come here to get that bowl. I can't speak to any other item because the Shrimp Pesto Salad Bowl is the only thing I've ever gotten but many other options on the menu look great. I usually order to go when I visit but they have a cute setup inside if you want to dine in. They have window bar seating and usually good music playing. Another thing that's awesome is how helpful the staff is. On my most recent visit, I was heartbroken to learn that the Shrimp Pesto Salad Bowl was taken off the menu but the person ringing me up recreated it for me anyway and helped me get and use a discount by downloading the app. This place is awesome in all ways and I look forward to visiting again. read more

Blown away by their protein bowls! The Mediterranean bowl was HUGE! A nice portion of lettuce, quinoa, and seasoned grilled chicken. I was partial to the dressing as well. It was seasoned really well and the chicken wasn't chewy like some places can be. I personally haven't tried anything else except their avocado toast which isn't something I'd go out of my way to get again. I really love Bango Bowls. They have a relatively tight menu of 3-4 juices, smoothies, salads, poke, warm bowls, and cold bowls. All of the items are tasty and well thought out. Everything on the menu I had (smoothies, acai and green bowl, salad, and warm bowls) was delicious. All of this is offered at pretty affordable pricing. Its not cheap but not over priced. And the service is pretty quick but I would recommend ordering ahead of time if you are in a rush. Too bad I can't leave ZERO stars! I had the unfortunate absence of mind to order from this place. I ordered their Shrimp Pesto salad which was a joke for what they charged. Even if it was on McDonald's $1 menu, it would still be a dollar too much. It was mostly lettuce with some shaved parmesan, teaspoon of onion and 5, very small, over cooked shrimp. Oh, and the "pesto vinaigrette" was mostly oil with a few dried basil flakes thrown in. Any similarity between that and real pesto dressing is purely coincidental. I was greeted immediately upon entering and given time to browse the menu. There were poke bowls and other such lunch items, but I had come for the acai! I got a Bango bowl which came with acai, oats and granola, strawberries, banana, blueberries, coconut and honey and I added in peanut butter. While a bit pricy, the bowl was delicious and all the fruit was fresh tasting. My favorite part was the granola! With most acai bowls the granola tends to get soggy after a while, but not this one! Came here with my mother to share a poke bowl around 1:30 in the afternoon. We ordered a poke bowl and a cold brew coffee. The inside is cute, AC was on full blast so we decided to eat elsewhere. Staff was friendly and helpful. The cold brew coffee was actually pretty good. The girl at the counter asked how much milk and ice I wanted which I liked. I also liked that they have the flavoring (vanilla and hazelnut) with the forks and the knives on a separate counter so you're able to add it in as you please. The poke bowl though, was another story! We had the "big eye" tuna bowl. The sauce was a little on overload, and there was only five pieces of tuna in the entire bowl. The majority of the poke bowl was quinoa and the fixings, which was a disappointment. I'd definitely come back for the cold brew because it was very good, but I'd recommend heading across the street to Aji 53 if you're looking for some good sushi. read more

I love their smoothies & used to love their salads but both me and my husband have ordered food here several times and I have found hair in my salads and he found a dead fly in his. It's disgusting!! The staff should wear hairnets and check the food before giving it to customers. They also need better lighting.
