Another hidden gem that adds to the unique Huntington experience. A friend and I wanted a bite to eat after getting out of our shift at a local restaurant. Bar Petite had a full menu until 12, live music and rave reviews. A restaurant offering more than late night bar food after 10pm is rare. We started with the orange wings which as the menu stated are a must, loved the zest. We got the burger which could have been cooked a bit less but that wasn't an issue because the truffle fries were incredible. The tuna tartar was fresh and spicy. I love a small plate menu so you can try many options, which the 3 of us did. Started with an Italian board. The truffle cheese and fig jam were exceptional (forgot to take a pic). Then the fun began. We had truffle fries (with 2 dipping sauces) vegetable flatbread pizza with a crunchy crust which I love, fire roasted artichokes so flavorful with roasted tomatoes, pan seared potstickers with a soy ginger dipping sauce, delish, Cajun shrimp had a nice kick and beef ravioli with a Marsala mushroom sauce( not the typical version) which for me was the outstanding dish. What I love is they made 2 piece plates 3 pieces so each one in our party can have their own (for an extra cost of course). Kate our server was extremely delightful and accommodating. One large dirty martini that was served with olives stuffed with blue cheese; excellent drink. The other was a drink made on the spot - a new creation - based on our drink preferences. Very well done and came with a guarantee of refund if we didn't like it. But we loved it and appreciated the personal attention we had received. Food was excellent. First, the grilled octopus was a must have. It was tender and seasoned perfectly. It was served with a "green" (possibly pesto) sauce and grilled tomatoes that complimented the octopus perfectly. We also ordered a flat bread - the Italian - that was amazing. So...you've had pizza before, as has everyone, but the balance of flavors not us flatbread was amazing. Salty goodness balanced with the tiny crust and smooth cheese made this such an excellent dish. Although I made it sound like a pizza it was way more than that. We also ordered sesame tacos. Awesome. Crispy shell and very flavorful tuna. Finally we ordered the crab cakes. They were solid, not as good as the other items, but very good. They were not overloaded with breading, which is a positive, but we're slightly soft and lacking texture. Btw..the French fries were amazing. Please don't come here (wink wink). RECOMMENDED I hosted a dinner for eight at Bar Petite on July 10, 2019. In contrast to most other Huntington venues, I found parking easily in front of the closed Jema storefront. Had I looked, there was ample street parking closer to the restaurant around the corner on Stewart Avenue since this area of Huntington is more "industrial" and less restaurant dense. The restaurant is very small and sparely decorated. It features an outstanding Happy Hour between 5 and 7 ($8.00 Martinis!!). This evening also featured some fabulous acoustic guitar strumming and singing of great 60's and 70's tunes by a person whose name I did not get. The friendly bartender (the owner ?) introduced himself to my group as we arrived. He poured me an outstanding Tito's Vodka Martini. He was very attentive to our group. We were seated promptly at our reserved time of 7:00 p.m. I was the last to order, choosing the Truffle Fries ($8.00) and the Pub Burger($14.00), a beauty on a Brioche Roll with Applewood Bacon, Caramelized Onions and Guinness Marinated Cheddar. A gripe.... the website menu does not state that the burger comes with fries and the waitress did not tell me and let me order the Truffle Fries when I would have preferred the Crab Cakes (which were outstanding based upon a taste I got). Although I do not ascribe any ill intent upon the poor overworked young lady who was responsible for every table in the restaurant, this does factor in my review. Anyway, the kitchen was quite slow. My burger took 45 minutes to arrive and I was the second to last person to get their food. The Pub Burger was worth the wait. The Brioche Roll was tasty. The burger shined with great beefy flavor. Yum! One of the best bar burgers I've had. The Truffle Fries arrived in a huge portion which could easily feed three. They too were delicious. My companions enjoyed the Meat and Cheese selections, the Bacon Wrapped Apricots ($12.00), the BBQ Pork Sliders ($14.00), the Fish Tacos ($13.00 and the Crab Cakes ($14.00). We left stuffed and satisfied, too full for dessert. BOTTOM LINE: Bar Petite is a winner. Definitely worth a return visit. read more

I love everything about this place! The drinks, the food, the staff, it's perfect! There's a difference in a drink & a craft cocktail and this is the place to get it. We were taken care of by Eric, and that's exactly what he did "took care of us" the attention to every detail was above and beyond. We loved our drinks, then the amazing food started. Everything we had is a must get! We started with some brie, grilled artichoke hearts with a lovely aioli were delicious, the Sicilian rice balls....OMG!!! I could eat them every day and still want more. We both had the braised beef ravioli and loved that too. I was so impressed with the food & drinks they were all delicious and the presentation was beautiful, but the real standout was Eric, he was the only one working the floor and bar & did it with such excellence and precision. My drink was the bees knees and it was so good! Eric suggested something similar, a gin Rickey & that was great as well. Really nice tiny place. It really is petite, but was very good. We had fish tacos, grilled artichokes, pulled pork sliders and the Spanish flat bread. I had two gin rickeys. We enjoyed all the food. They had some inventory issues but were able to resolve them for us so no complaints. It's right outside the hustle and bustle of the village so it's nice and quiet. They had a live musician playing Spanish guitar which I personally really enjoy. The menu (attached) is tapas style and the food comes out slowly, one plate at a time, we were there for hour and a half. At times I almost felt like I was on vacation. It seems like it a regulars type place some table knew each other. The help was nice. My wife really enjoyed it also. We will definitely be back. read more

We got takeout and everything was hot and packaged nicely. The risotto balls were to DIE for, I can't stop thinking about them. Excellent food and service. Popped in for a quick meal and drink on a Saturday night, just passing through town. This is clearly a regular crowd type of place, and they treated us just like regulars ;-). We were able to sit right at the bar; the bartender Erick was phenomenal and super charismatic . We ordered a flatbread and the risotto rice balls... I literally wanted to order more to go to eat the next day. Upon entry warmly greeted by Eric the bartender. A welcoming smile, friendly mannerism and most importantly remembered my drink from the last visit. Customer service is VITAL in this type of atmosphere and they were on par! The waitress was happy, friendly, bubbly and you want to be in this type of an environment after a long work day. Food selections are ample, Drinks options are plentiful an most importantly they have wonderful Happy Hour Special's to take part in after work. Affordable for EVERY budget -A great place to meet friends, colleagues, a date or take a family member for a Bday celebration.
