I just ate here and I loved the french onion burger so much I had to write about it. For an appetizer I ordered their small order (8 pc) Sticky Wings bone in of course, swapped the wasabi cream for blue cheese. These were good, crisp, hot, and the general tsos sauce it's coated in is bright, sweet, and tangy. Onto the main event. The french onion burger which includes a double stack smash patty blend of brisket, chuck, and shortrib, topped with caramelized onions, provolone, garlic aioli on brioche with a side of au jus. I tempered my expectations but this burger just blew me away. The beef blend itself is incredible and makes for a juicy and ultra beefy bite. The garlic aioli wasn't overpowering and the caramelized onions added that nice bit of sweetness. Dipping it in the au jus just took it to another level. I was truly in bliss eating this. The fries crazy enough were strikingly close to the ones offered at the golden arches, which I'm fond of. My only knock is that they were a bit well done so while they were very crispy, they were also a bit hollow inside. Our waitress was lovely on this night, shoutout Taylor R. She took the time to offer food suggestions for my friend and he ended up loving it. She also did the REALLY cool thing where she noticed my drink was empty and brought me a refill before I needed to ask. Will be returning for this burger. read more

This place is a real gem! Solid service, solid food and great mixed drinks. Sign me up! The vibe inside is so cool too, perfect for a date night or for hanging out with friends. We shared mozz sticks (can you ever go wrong with warm, gooey cheese?! I don't think so!) which were tasty. I really loved my falafel sandwich and I was so happy to have this as a veg choice instead of a beyond burger so THANK YOU GOODY for having an amazing and non boring options for us veggie folk! I was strolling through the main street shops and, with the warmer weather finally here, decided to grab a seat outside and check out their happy hour menu. They offer a selection of spritz drinks along with a few appetizers for $5, including yuca fries, smash burgers, queso fries, and deviled eggs. We went with the smash burger, queso fries, and deviled eggs with bacon--everything was delicious. The service was friendly, prices couldn't be beat and the sunset made it an even better experience. Formerly known as T.J. Finelys, Goody Two Shoes has come a long way since its Irish pub days - which are still dearly missed. Their new and elevated menu is a big step up from their former late night greasy eats. They offer a large variety of signature cocktails and a special brunch menu. I had the pleasure of going to Goody Two Shoes to watch Arsenal's last match of the premier league. Aside from the crowd being fantastic - the bartenders and servers were quick and friendly. My friend and I decided to get burgers after missing out on the brunch menu, but the burgers didn't disappoint. Overall I had a great experience at Goodys. I definitely think this would be a great restaurant for a bridal or baby shower since the decor and ambiance is perfect for those influencer photo shoots. I'm taking one star off for the fact that TJ's had an awesome back area prior to the renovations and that space is now much smaller and they no longer have a second bar. We had to wait quite some time to order a drink because there just wasn't enough space at the bar for the bartenders to see us. It makes me less inclined to want to go back on a busy weekend. read more

This place is incredible from the food to the service...I cannot wait to go back! I came here with my daughter and my sis. We parked in the back lot and sat in the middle booth seating area. There was a pretty obnoxious party or large group in the front of house which was a bit annoying but whatevs My sis ordered the wings. She got the ones with general tsos sauce . I'm a spicy sauce girl so I wouldnt have ordered it but they were cooked perfectly and THAT GREEN WASABI DIPPING SAUCE omgggggg FIRREEEEEE!! She also got the mac. It was perfectly aldente . I just recommend giving it a good stir before your first bite because the best part of the sauce settles at the bottom of the cast iron. I got the fried chicken sandwich! AMAZING! Crazy part is I usually like a lot of toppings. This one is simple these pickles and sauce on potato bread and wow I demolished it! Fried perfectly! That batter whew Soo good. Yucca fried yummmm My daughter ordered a side of bacon and fries and they made it so fun for her and that bacon is fantastic! Hunter was our server and he was so attentive. I hate when ppl don't talk to my daughter as if she is her own person and he addressed her politely, asked her what she wanted and checked on her to make sure she enjoyed everything. Honestly we might have interacted with 3 or 4 staff members and the whole crew kind funny and cool. Literally the ONLY unpleasant part about this was that the section of the booth that my sister was sitting in was completely sunken in. Came on an afternoon during Happy Hour with a friend. The weather was nice so we got to sit outside. The servers were quick and attentive. We got their $9 spritzes, some wings, and the birria egg rolls. The spritzes were super yum and refreshing. The wings were crispy, juicy, and flavorful. We chose the sticky wings which the menu said would be mildly spicy but wasn't spicy at all. The birria egg rolls were just ok, would probably pass next time. We stopped in for brunch and they a had simple but delicious order of French toast sticks with Nutella on their menu that we had to taste and my husband and I had their goody breakfast sandwich- not heavy but definitely filling. While out in Bay Shore last weekend, I did a Yelp search looking for a bar with super chill vibes and found Goody Two Shoes. Immediately upon walking in I quickly realized I was in the right spot! The bartender was super responsive, the drinks were tasty and the vibes were indeed "super chill." I had the two different pumpkin beers they had on tap and oh boy, I was in pumpkin beer heaven. The DJ was on point too, playing some of my favorite old school 90's rap, while mixing in some popular songs from modern day. While this spot is relatively new, I can so see them becoming a popular local favorite and serving the community for years to come! read more

For some reason I thought this place was kind of a dive bar but it's actually pretty nice inside. Trivia happened to be starting when we got there so we decided to play-we didn't win but it was fun. The menu has a lot of unique options on it so I ordered a bunch of different things. I went with the feta cheese bunuelos, jalapeno potato pancakes and yuca fries to start. Honestly it all lacked flavor and sounds way better than it tasted. It was all pretty bland. I appreciate that none of it was greasy tho especially considering it was all fried. For dessert I went with the pumpkin espresso martini and s'mores flatbread. The flatbread was the bomb! It was loaded with flavor and big enough to split. I'd come again for that! The dark bar mood and lighting paired with accent colors that were so bright really made it the perfect spot. We got to sit at the corner window table which had the cutest decor and perfect view of the entire restaurant. The food did not disappoint. The yucca fries were so good. The avocado dip and sauce ..... SO GOOD. The crunch also. Perfection. The flatbread was also absolutely delicious. The brie paired with the hot honey, I'm literally drooling thinking about it right now. I got the truffle burger and was insane. It was cooked to perfection and topped with truffle cheddar. Let me repeat that to you. Truffle. Cheddar. Everything was delicious. We were a party of three and unfortunately had a disappointing experience. We were seated in a back area that felt more like a lounge or private hangout than a dining space, with a group of people sitting around--some drinking, some not eating--which made the atmosphere feel uncomfortable and unclear for guests trying to enjoy a meal. Mixing a casual lounge setting with a dining area just didn't feel appropriate or cohesive. While we were eating, someone from that group placed a baby on the bench next to us and changed their diaper, despite there being bathrooms available. This was very off-putting and inappropriate during a meal. Our server, Olivia, was kind and did let us know she was waiting for utensils to be cleaned, but service was still slow--we had to wait for utensils, plates, and condiments, leaving our food sitting. We were also surprised to be charged $1 for two small cups of mayo. Additionally, the bathroom was in very poor condition--so much so that my husband actually texted me from inside to say how bad it was. I usually don't write reviews and would typically just not return, but this experience stood out for the wrong reasons. I hope this feedback helps improve the experience for future guests. read more

The elegance the vibe.. All was giving.. Attention to detail in esthetic is evident. Lighting always can make or break a feeling and this did not disappoint.. As soon as you walk in you are greeted. Visited Goody Two Shoes tonight with my wife. We were looking for a place with a nice atmosphere for Happy Hour and some good food. We had not been here since it was transformed from the old TJ Finlays. What a transformation it was. Gone are the booths and dated decor. In are small tables with nice chairs, a really nice bar and a great vibe. There's a dining area in the bar area, a hidden dining room off the back with a small outdoor seating area (and a few tables out front facing Main Street in Bat Shore). Our bartender / server, Nasser, was attentive, an extraordinary "mixologist" and very welcoming. All of the other staff we met were equally welcoming and good at their jobs. My wife had two of the specialty mixed drinks with tequila. Nasser gave her a small sample of the ghost tequila and she had him custom mix her second drink with that tequila. I had 2 hazy IPAs which were fresh and tasty. The taps were clean and Nasser did a great job pouring the beer to minimize foam. We weren't really looking for a full meal so we ordered the Mediterranean platter (celery, peppers, cucumbers, carrots, olives, hummus, zucchini stuffed with feta and warm pitas). We also ordered the poutine fries. Both choices were outstanding and just enough to satisfy our hunger. We're always in search of a neighborhood place with good food, drinks and a great atmosphere. I remember when this was TJ Finley's and we would have the best time here. Although this is now the complete opposite of the former bar, it is STILL a great time. The bartenders and staff are extremely welcoming and engaging and made incredible drink recommendations based on our likes and dislikes. They even convinced us to try new things, that we ended up loving. The ambiance is great and it lead to us making some new friends while hanging at the bar.
