This place is definitely clean. I can tell you that. Especially their bathrooms. They have very nice employees and utilize adults on the spectrum to help out, which I think is soo cool. Came here yesterday and had just about one of the rudest encounters with a volunteer.. her name is JANE.. I have ever experienced. I was on the phone when I brought my items to the register and this really seemed to hit a nerve with her. She stepped back and started talking to another volunteer ignoring me and told me when I got off my phone she would help me.. um excuse me?? I'm supporting your business and I'll be on my phone while checking out and if it's a problem then take the items back and I'll go elsewhere.. you don't throw your temper crabby tantrum with me. While I refused to get off the phone she acted like she was actually part of the conversation making her own narrative and commentary on the back end. This is a old immature nasty woman were talking about.. the immaturity of this woman was mind blowing and I did call the manager who was nice and that's why I'm giving the stars I did. Overpriced won't be back .. and Jane.. go home! read more

The 2nd Hand treasure is located conveniently next to the Orchard Church. There's plenty of parking. They are only open Thursday to Sat. They open promptly at 10am and close at 4pm sometimes even earlier! I do appreciate that the proceeds support their church. They are very meticulous in sorting through their donations. They choose only the best. I've been twice through here. The place is spotless and organized but the prices are way too high even at 50% off. I didn't buy anything both times. It's still fun looking. I didn't deal directly with anyone there so I can't speak on the service. read more

Went to drop off 2 large boxes of clothing for donations. I was refused at the door since I didn't drop them off in back. I had initially tried to locate the place in back of the building to drop these items off and wasn't able to find it. Bummer! I'll take these items to another place that will gladly accept them and where the donations can be easily taken. read more

These prices are egregious! They receive free donations and mark them up higher than you would buy brand new. It's a shame because people that probably really need these goods can't access them. Martha is no Saint, that's for sure. read more

Saturday, 9/28/2024: I hadn't been here in a while & wanted to visit some of my favorite ladies. Everything is 50% off today & all jewelry is 75% off as the signs at the front indicated. The volunteers here keep this store clean & organized with nice decor & displays throughout the store. I definitely did not buy any jewelry. I need it like I need another hole in my head! I purchased some books, a toy for my grandson, and a gift basket. They have a nice variety of gif baskets for every occasion. I was sad that my favorite ladies were not there today but the ladies that checked me out were very friendly and sweet. I spent over $30, which I know goes to a great cause for the community. was excited to check out a new thrift store to find affordable clothes for my son, i had got gifted a store certificate & gave it to the african american lady with glasses who rung me up, she rudely said i should've told her i had one when i first brought my stuff up but it was my first time and i didn't know and she said i had to use the whole thing and wouldn't be able to use my remaining balance but was said in a rudely manner which i understood and had no problem with since it was my first time there but she rudely gave me a rough time while i was figuring out what to get to cover the rest of the balance. decent store overall, prices are high for certain items for example $120 a chair is insane, their clothing range is decent. i wouldve gave a 4 stars but this lady's attitude and unwelcoming rude manner changed that. read more

Grotesquely high prices. Even at the perpetual 50% off I've seen items for up to hundreds of dollars. They collect dust, of course, because no one is paying these prices. There's also something to be said about the greed of a church charity shop selling items at these prices that were gifted to them for free. I've seen countless items priced as if they were new and many others priced like they were rare antiques. I asked why the price of something was so high and was told they look them up on eBay. Just because something is listed on eBay at a high price does not mean it sells for that price. read more

Los of good sales Sometimes certain color tags are 75% off.. 50% off items on Thursday and Saturday ,usually. prices can be a little high on some items, I usually just shop sales. They support the local food pantry with their sales, so it's for a great cause. Most of the volunteers are usually very pleasant. This place is crazy expensive. Used cheap toys for $8-$10. All the clothes that are mall brand are no less than $10 and couldn't find a pair of shoes in decent condition for less than $15. Such a shame that thrift stores are overcharging for used items. You're better off shopping at Ross/Marshalls. read more

I really don't like giving negative reviews especially when we were sweetly greeted when we first walked in. I understand this types of places run off donations, but I feel they should be just a little more selective as the racks of clothes we went through were stained and dingy. I'm not sure if it was the low lighting here, but everything looked from the 70's/80's...just OLD. So I guess if you're into that, then this place is for you. I seriously felt like I was walking around my grandparent's house. We also went on a "50% off" day and I was shocked. A very USED bag of mega blocks (not even a full bag) was priced at $30!! I could get that brand new at Walmart for half that price. A single throw pillow was priced between $20-$30...might as well just go to Ross. Which makes me feel that the prices are jacked up just to make you feel like you're getting a "deal" with this 50% off. Maybe I just came on a bad day? Who knows...save your time and go to Savers instead because 2nd Hand Treasures makes me feel I can't afford to go thrift shopping. Well this place did a number on my GPS. Ha. After straightening it all out, I arrived to a pleasant and cordial counter person who greeted me as I walked in. The store doesn't have flashy signs saying "MENS" or "HOUSEWARES", you are basically hunting to find the different departments. They have a small boutique in the back, which consists of a several racks. I found three vintage items and that was enough to make me sing. After paying, I saw the sign that read "Join us for our 50% sale on Thursday". D'oh! You have to look closely, but hey It's a thrift store! So if you are down for a good treasure hunt and have an afternoon to spare give them a try. They are opened until 5pm. Happy hunting! read more

This is a hidden gem among thrift stores. It's located in the same center as the trampoline park and the new skating rink (sounds like. Review from 1984 huh?). Anyway they have a great selection of just about anything, clothes, kids books, and the miscellaneous. And here's. Great tip for guys, if your out and you spill something in your shirt and need to get back to the office quick, pick up a freshly laundered (it's the law) shirt right off the rack for a few bucks. It will get you thought the day and give you a good story to tell later. read more

I volunteered here in high school for a few months while I lived in this area and around that time this place had been around for a while and was very busy, even though it is not as visible location wise as where it is. This place has super good deals and is really good kept up because of the magnitude of volunteers that work here through out the days and weekends. When I was volunteering here I had a good amount of other people that were volunteering as well, so there definitely was a good amount of people helping to get all of the products out, and believe me, they get a lot of donations! This place is by the 215 freeway off Murrieta Hot Springs. There is a Carls Jr in the center and a few other places but not sure what is and isn't open. read more

First time here cause my mother insisted we donate to St Martha's. So after our donation of quite a few nice items, we proceeded to shop inside. The store is nice and the layout is good but way over priced and most of the ladies were nice but the manager was rude! I was told. BY another lady who worked there that we could Receive 50% off the first item of our choice, which was good because I found a pair of Harley Davidson sandals I liked and they were priced as high as normally priced sandals would be. I also found two scarfs that we're also priced at five dollars each. I wanted to purchase both but noticed one had some holes in it but I still liked it. When we got to the checkout, because the lady on the floor told us since we were new , that maybe the manager would make a change on the scarfs. So when I mentioned it to the manager and told her that we also just brought a bunch of stuff into the back she said, Oh well doesn't matter if you brought stuff in or not I can't mark that down. Although she did take off $ 2 from the one, she was very rude and had no appreciation for our business or that we brought stuff to St Martha's . Also I was not allowed to even look or purchase from the racks brought to the floor until the Merchandise was put out. Makes no since because if someone wants to buy something off the rack it saves you time from having to put it out. They just run it completely different from a lot of thrift stores I've been too. The store has a great variety and it is hit or miss, as are all thrift stores. Murrieta gets a large part of its food kitchen for the community from the resources the store sells. Most of the employees are actually volunteers. A large amount of what they earn needs to be spent on the rent, insurance and maintenance of the facility. The prices are set to prevent haggling with volunteers that are not informed about the items' worth. The store is very clean, the volunteers and employees take great pride in keeping a high standard in the items they offer for sale. Items that are not of the quality needed are donated to the less fortunate at no cost. Unlike other thrift stores the majority of the sales people are not paid and the people taking donations are not paid. The majority of their funds goes right back into the community. read more

Recently moved to the area and have alot of good shape things to donate because we have downsized. We have dropped off items here before because this place was recommended by the Catholic church. We went again today and tried to drop off a car load of items such as clothes, new footwear, toys and sporting goods. One sign said drop offs during the time that we were there another sign said closed. We did not need anyone to meet us as we did not need a donation receipt. We unloaded a couple of bags of things when a young Mexican boy came running out and started yelling that we could not leave the items there and that it was illegal. We tried to tell him that we had made a trip there just to donate. He did not care and kept yelling for us to leave. We said that we would not come back there. He said that he did not care and if it made us feel better to just keep talking to ourselves. Talk about rude and ungrateful. We will never support a place like this. read more

This is my favorite thrift store. Thursdays and Saturdays everything is %50 off. Everything is so organized, the close in the main room are all sorted by size. The ladies are so nice. I love the fact that the money goes to the Pantry to feed the less fortunate. The store isn't huge but it can still take a while sifting through treasures. A lot of the clothes look brand new. They wash everything before it gets hung, so you know everything is nice and clean when you want to try it on. They sell shoes as well as other household goods and they have a ton of books. I just love this store and I tell everyone I know who shops thrift stores to go there first. read more

The ladies are usually nice but for a thrift store the items are way overpriced. I know the proceeds go to families in need but sometimes they should consider many of their customers are shopping on a budget for a reason and also have families to feed and children to clothe and shelter. I have seen target and Walmart items way overpriced. On some days they are marked down 50% however it still is way overpriced like $12 for a used maxi dress or $8 for old shoes with beaten down soles and they tried to charge $20 for a fake coach bag. I don't know if they have a person check for authenticity but they should discard those bags. Apart from this I still like to walk around and look because once in a while you can find a hidden treasure like I did get a pot that I love to use to roast food in for like $4. Score! read more

The only complaint I have is that someone stole my phone here a few years ago, and the employees said they couldn't help since they don't have any cameras. read more
